Niccea knows cuz I sent it to her already, but I wrote up the profile for the time jump character. I thought you all might like to know.
Some deatails- I was inspired by Mr. Van's naming Maria's alter ego IM004, so this character's name is kinda like that. Her serial number is SW1-fERP or Swiffer P. for short. The number is actually a code that stands for Subject W-1 from External Reset Project.
Also...I noticed recently that there is actually a movie called Jumper. So I threw that name out for her abilities. I picked Reset, because that would've essentially been the purpose of the ERP...To go back in time and reset events that didn't go ideally for the governement. Going back in time would be called ERA (External Reset Attempt). This term is more for people who were privy to Reset and it's ultimate goal. I still need a slang word for it though...

Would going back in time just be called, "going back in time"? Sorry...yeah...slang will come eventually I bet.

Rofl probably yeah...I still feel like it needs to be summed up in one word. Like how we kept calling it "jumping" earlier? Maybe skipping?
ITZASWIFFERSKIP!
Sorry...No more of that...

Hmmm....I have this vague feeling that you may be poking fun at me. Well you won't get the satisfaction of having me care (or ever truly know for sure), because I'm going to act like those suggestions were dead serious. Rewind sounds good too.
Slating could also work (When you go back in time it's like you get a chance to clean the slate).
In other news...I have a massive sore on the inside of my mouth. I put peroxide on it, and it foamed real bad...then my room mate walked in on me foaming at the mouth. It took me an hour to convince her that I'm not rabid.

crying I'm not making fun...I was trying my hardest.
Do human's even foam at the mouth when they have rabies? I should know this, but I'm pretty sure that she would notice other symptoms. (Vet's daughter)
Well...if the time travelers were really self-confident, they could call it Correcting or Revising.

I really like revising...Good one
Ummm...I dunno, but I think her first clue that I was not rabid should have been the massive bottle of peroxide. I don't think humans foam at the mouth when rabid, but anything that tastes that horrible would make even Chuck Norris foam at the mouth.
I was just teasing Niccea don't cry. ::Comforts.:: It just seemed like a lot of the suggestions were VCR ish...

That is because writing is my second hobby. I have many hobbies but right now it is attempting to make a music video...eventually. I guess. Right now I'm reading and trying to make the manuscript.

Eeeeee!
Can I introduce Swiffer? I don't want her too involved in the plot, but I do want her to meet up with most of the people...

So Ninja's character got it right...Swiffer is from the future. Waaaaay in the furture. She's actually from a time when the gifted have mostly been exterminated, bread out, and generally forgotten. It's so far in the future that the government has started up the experiments again, because they forgot what a horrible idea it was in the first place.
Basically people won't even start talking about the ERP (External Reset Project) for another handful of decades. At first they'll try making machines that do it, and then someone will think to use people, and a couple centuries later you'll have the second (or possibly third) installment of gifteds.
It's kinda cool, because you could have this happen no matter what kind of ending this SL comes to.
So...Remember how Swiffer needs a link into the past? She needs to touch someone that can remember being there. So who was that person? They would have to be long lived and sorta involved in the story line right now. I picked Thaya as her link, since Thaya is a character I control.
Spoiler!
Basically what's going to happen to Thaya at the conclusion of the SL is this; her gift is going to completely take over. Notice how she trances out when she's really deep into a healing? Well that's going to be her for life. Her body regens itself faster than it can die, and she heals people around her wether she wants to or not.
She'll start floating all the time and will have to be chained down like a balloon. They will try to destroy her, but will be unable since she regens too quickly...So they'll put her away for a while in a top secret warehouse.
After a while someone will decide to put her healing powers to use. They'll place her in a front lines hospital to heal soldiers, and this will push her deeper into her trance making her even more powerful. Eventually she'll go so deep into her trance that she'll be hooked up to a computer. Names and DNA will be programmed into this computer, and she will heal these people from whatever distance. She will be a mere tool.
Swiffer will be one of the very few survivors from the ERP. She will be introduced to Thaya when she's dying (at this point Thaya glows and looks like a silver sculpture of a woman that has way too much detail). Swiffer's operations are failing, so on a hunch her doctors decide to rush her to the regeneration room.
Swiffer is carried right up to Thaya, and they put her hand on the floating statue's feet. Swiffer is instantly healed, and becomes aware that this statue/computer/thing is actually a woman with memories. Memories of the last time the government tried to play God. The little yellow eyed woman then twitches time and space around her using Thaya's memories to get back to out current time...
I may actually put this in story form, but that's a rough laundry list of how Swiffer got here, and why she was thanking Thaya earlier.
