"Let me explain a bit of what we do here in 1st squad. Here we are not focused on teaching others as much as being the best in one on one combat. Where 11th loves to be in the fight and wants to be the strongest, we here in 1st are more concerned with simply being the best. We don't have to destroy the enemy, as long as we can beat them.
"It's not important to out fight, out power or out fox the enemy, so long as we out class them.
"As such we stress honor in combat and stress winning through skill and ability. So that's my pep talk.
"Go find a place in the barracks, and keep in training. There isn't any organized classes or teaching of new students, just areas to keep yourself in top form in. Feel free to practice all you want, and it's the custom that if you wish to challenge to a sparring match, simply drop a note to the person in question. If you wish to challenge for their position, then that's something else.
