I'll take them," Mikora chimes, reaching for the dishes.
Frank takes them straight out of her hands. "No, I'll take them. You just go have a good time."
"Thanks, Papa." She turns to Nim. "C'mon!" She takes her hand and leads her back toward the stables.

"thanks" she calls over her shoulder as Mikora drags her towards the stable. she skips along humming happily to herself "so what do you do at the canyons. like do you just take in the view or explore it or something like that. And how come they have the fair way out by them instead of like in town here or just right outside of it?" she asks curiously

"Uh...I just like to ride," she lies, though she does so poorly. "And take in the scenery." The last part was solid truth. "It's a really big fair and the canyon is so pretty. It's a perfect place for it," she explains. Once at the stables, she points to a black mare. "That on is the one you can take. She's a real angel so you shouldn't have any problems." She begins to saddle up her own bay mare.

"cool" she shrugs ignoreing the hestitant way she said that she just liked to ride and walks over to the horse talking softly to her. She pets her and grabs a bridal and rains that were hung by her stall and puts them on her before swinging onto her bareback. She was not really used to saddles and was unsure about how to securely put one on so she figured bareback would be the safest rout to go. she shifts her close a bit to makeherself more confertable. "i hope they are there then i would love to see all the different things they are sure to have. Have you been to a lot of fairs?"

"Uh...well, I've been to this one lots of times. Does that count?" Mikora is unphased by Nim's riding bareback. Some people simply preferred that and it was hardly unusual. She leads her horse out of the stables and mounts it, beginning to lead the way out of town.

"Like I said, there's a lot of merchants so there's shopping to be done. And we can have our fortune's told and there's all kinds of performers. The have a menagerie, too, with lots of exotic animals. And there's food, of course." Mikora was not nearly so observant as she prattled on, driving her horse at a trot, for a little while.

" i love to shop! and i've never had my fortune told before i wonder what could possibly be in my future." she notices something move off to the side and tense ready to grab her bow just in case but relaxes when she sees its just small critter looking for food. she rolls her shoulders wondering why she felt a little tense and almost jumpy all of a sudden " and food sounds really good to i love to eat! especially sweet things"

"Mm, me too," Mikora beams. After a little while, a caravan comes into view a little ways off. There are wagons and brightly colored tents. It's large enough to qualify for a small town. Off to one end an assortment of animals, most of them from far off places, perform tricks and are rewarded by their trainers. "There it is," Mikora smiles. She urges her horse into a canter, anticipation building.

Up in the canyon, Soley & Mingen's traveling circus was set up and going in full stride. Vendors, both those that traveled along in the circus caravan as well as local ones, had booths set up, selling various wares from foodstuffs to exotic art objects and clothing from afar. Performers were busy all over, especially in the main tent were the big shows went on. Anja's fortune-telling was seeing rather brisk business in her wagon located off to the side of the open area that the circus had been set up around. The noise of animals braying and people enjoying themselves intermingled with the music that filled the air.
Alerin found it all marvelously charming, and it always amused him at how easily people could be entertained by flicks of the wrist and simple cantrips. He was currently performing on one of the side stages under the stagename of "Mikos the Magnificent." He hadn't chosen that particular name, but with his features concealed a floppy wizard's hat and mask that was mirrored on the outside but allowed him to see though, he didn't much mind. His current trick involved conjuring harmless little balls of flame and juggling them, even pretending to swallow one before passing them out to the children present in the small crowd in front of him.
Standing up from passing out the temporary magical toys, he sees a couple people approaching on horseback off in the distance. However, he doesn't let it distract him from his performance.
(Hey Rose, long time no see!)

"I'll race ya!" she challenges, raising herself up a bit and taking off on her horse. She was impatient. This was her favorite time of year. She looks to see how close Nim was.

she grins at the challange and lightly taps the side of the horse to get her moving faster. she grips the mane tightly so she does not fall off and leans forward laughing at the sheer fun she almost felt like she was flying. She was right behind Mikora gaining on her quickly

Mikora laughs, not terribly surprised that she lost. She had noted the slight point of Nim's ears. She wasn't full-blooded elf, but she probably still had nature in her blood, like any of them. She dismounts her horse and leads Nim to a safe place they could leave them.

(Eh, I've been okay. Sick with something right now though, unfortunately.)
It was time to wrap up his performance, and it tended to always be a crowd pleasure. "Thank you, gentle ladies and good sirs," he speaks, his voice sounding oddly hollow thanks to the mask, "You have been a wonderful audience, but now I must bid you adiue. Enjoy the rest of your stay here at Soley and Mingus' traveling circus, and a fair afternoon to you all!" Giving them a sweeping bow, he triggers drops a coupe clay orbs that break upon the stage and release clouds of smoke that obscure him. The smoke didn't last long, but it was plenty of time for him to use a spell to do a limited teleport backstage. Removing his stage costume props, he listens to the surprised gasps and applause from the crowd.
He didn't have another performance for a while, so he figured it was high time to go out and mingle and see about getting something to eat. Stowing the costume away, he sneaks off around the nearest two booths to his stage before walking out and becoming a face in the crowd.
