Lunar's Prompt Response:

The night was calm, only a slight breeze stirring and carrying the scent of night-blooming flowers to Devarsi's sensitive nose. He sighed as it ruffled his fur, grinning as he gaged its strength by how far it pushed each strand. It was getting gradually stronger, and for fun, he raised one tail to the sky, to challenge the wind into trying to push it over. His tail won as the gentle breeze moved around it, and he lowered his tail once more, turning his focus back to the gentle gleaming of the stars. He couldn't see them, that was true, but he could swear he could almost "hear" them. It wasn't something he'd been able to explain to either of his sisters. With their sighted eyes, they looked up into the heavens of the night and exclaimed how beautiful they were, how the countless specks of light came in different sizes, even some in slightly different colors. And once in a while, one would shoot down from the sky and find itself a place on earth.

He wondered about those stars that chose to come down; is that what had happened with the three of them? Had the impact of falling to the earth from so high taken his sight, and the hearing from Lunar, and speech from Solar? What was so much better about this world than the expanse of sky above, that a star would chose to live here instead? He sighed, the mystery, as always, unsolved, but he listened to the energy that seemed to call him from the sky he could not see, nor fathom.

The stillness was disturbed by a series of shuffling pawsteps below, and Devarsi swiveled his ears to get a better bead on whatever might be there. The sounds that came to his ears were those of Lunar's upset murmurs, her paws dragging across the slate of the garden path. ~Sister, what is wrong?~ Dev called down to her over their telepathic connection, stretching himself before slipping down the slanted roof to land behind her. Her audible whimpers mixed with her telepathic words as, bit by bit, he sorted out what she was trying to tell him. Every so often, she spoke a word aloud to emphasize her point, and her agitation was clear. One of her precious horde was missing, and she was certain something horrid had come and invaded her sanctuary, making off with it in the night while she slept.

~Come now, love, don't fret! We'll track it down and, when we find the culprit, I shall make him pay!~ He struck what he thought to be a gallant pose, his hind legs splayed out, one forepaw lifted, his chest puffed up and chin tilted high, tails flapping behind him. Of course, he looked utterly ridiculous, and it set Lunar to laughing. He grinned, glad that she'd eased up a little bit, and nuzzled her cheek. ~Now, let's check your room for clues, shall we?~ He felt her nod against his cheek, and they entered the house, each pressed into the other's side.

They entered her room in that fashion, and Dev asked her to, slowly, recount what had happened. ~Well, I was asleep, and dreaming about... I'm not sure, now. But something touched my foot, and I could swear I smelled nuts, and it felt like it was laughing. The wind woke me up though, and when I looked around, the window was open and my scarf was gone! Just a little puddle left on the table, look!~

Devarsi choked a bit at the onrush of visual input, and sqeezed his eyes shut, to no avail. ~Lunar!~ His mental shout was laced with pain, his head pounding from the overstimulation that resulted when she suddenly forced the full power of the visual link into his mind. She murmured a wordless apology, pulling back on the strength of the sight she passed to him. He relaxed, the image dimmer now within his mind's eye, as he looked around the room from her persepective. Everything was blurry; his mind wasn't used to having to sort out visual stimuli, and he hadn't quite learned how to mentally nudge her head around to look at things better when they did this. He tucked his muzzle alongside hers, and used the contact to gently guide where she was looking. She matched his steps as he walked over to the table, sniffing down at the spot where the silk scarf had been. It was, indeed, a bit wet, and smelled of some small creature's fur. He turned their muzzles to the open window, which she'd left ajar to allow the cool breeze to circulate.

~It seems you did have a visitor, now lets go track him down and get your scarf back~ She nodded vigorously, and Dev groaned, feeling like his own head was rattling as the world he saw through her eyes shook all over the place. She turned off the connection, and he breathed a sigh of relief as they padded back outside to the garden, sides pressed together once more. Lunar let him lead the way with his nose, and she gave him gentle nudges to keep him from stepping in holes and dips as they moved away from the house. He and his sisters had set up a subtle, touch-based form of communication to alert him to troublesome terrain, and it worked quite well.

Twisting here and there through the far end of the yard as he followed the scent, they found themselves standing at the base of a tree. He lifted up cautiously onto his hind legs, his nose sniffing along the trunk. ~Yup, it's definitely gone up this one, recently too. Check and see if there's a hole or something, but be careful, the little thief might bite!~ He stepped back, and heard her brace her paws on the tree trunk, apparently peering into something. She went still, and he prodded her across their telepathic link, confused.

~Is it there?~ Lunar dropped back down, bopping her head against his shoulder before turning her tail to the tree.

~Let's go back, it's late, and I think the new owner needs it more than I do.~ Besides, she added to herself, it's rather dirty now and that just won't do for an accessory!

Puzzled, he shook his head at the strange turnaround his sister had taken, and followed her back to the house. Behind them, they left the little squirrel and her family, wrapped up snug against the night's chill with the little scarf.

~But we're going to have to find a new one in the morning!~ She tossed back across their link, laughing her cute little half-chuckle as she sped up, challenging her brother to keep up as they trotted through the darkness.

I don't really like RPing other people's characters, so I decided to write my responses as I would in a normal RP.

solar response
Saiph did not need to see to know where Solar had been climbing. Mere vision would only have gotten in the way of his innate sense of direction. He could feel all the stars in the heavens, day or night, waiting to help him triangulate the position of his sisters by their bright angles.

And so it was that when Solar finally lost her purchase and plummeted down to earth, she fell on top of a warm and squishy body. Vaporous pinions tickled her skin.

"You okay?" Saiph wheezed, as he tried to get his breath back. "You're heavy. What were you doing?"

On the way over he'd knocked over several of Lunar's treasures, flown into a rose-bush, and accidentally harassed a poor magpie who had a very Solar-ish scent. His belly was going to be bruised for days.

But it had been worth it.

lunar response
Saiph choked back a groan. Not this. Not again. Ugh. He could practically feel his blood pressure rising.

There were days when he truly hated those stupid little baubles. Lunar doted on them beyond reason, even though they were just as unlikely to love her as the cold, stark heavens above. How dare some worthless inanimate object make his precious sister cry?

Hey, now- don't be like that. Get ahold of yourself. Saiph concentrated on sending a feeling of unflappable calm through the psychic link. If Lunar had wanted warm cuddles or burning passion, she would have gone to their sister. You're the beautiful and elegant Lunar, aren't you? No one should see you like this. You're better than crying..

Saiph rubbed his sightless eyes with the back of one paw, mentally preparing himself for the disorienting sensation of seeing the world through another's eyes. He was thankful for Lunar's gift, but he would never quite get used to the way that the images in his head could not connect to the input coming from all his other senses. He had nearly collapsed the first time she splashed color across the canvas of his mind.

Deprivation made Saiph oversensitive to detail. His thoughts could only rest in the dark.

Once you've cleared away your tears, you can go back and look again. Saiph advised. And patch me in. You never know what fresh eyes will see.

Response to Solar
Hesperos looks up, startled, as the mind-call reached him. He jumps to his feet, listening and moving quickly as he could, responding with a mind-call to his sister, asking her to show him what she could see. He would need that, if he was to make it safely to where she was, since Lunar was off elsewhere. He knew this wasn't normal, and it felt odd... but he HAD to do it. He'd have to do his best between his position was, and where she is. He begins to pick his way, quickly, and grunts as he stumbles some. Luckily, within moments, he discovered she wasn't as far away as he had feared, and she was able to show him some of what was in front of him.

When he reached the base of the tree, he frowned slightly, pondering it. He could only see, through Solar, part of what was there. Nonetheless, he had to get to her, fast. After a long moment, he begins to scramble up it, feeling his way with what she couldn't show him, and using her eyesight as much as he could. When he finally got up to the branch just below her, he climbed, carefully, out onto it, testing how strong it was, listening for sounds of cracking or breaking. Once he was convinced it was quite sturdy beneath him, he moves out, below her, and says quietly "Sister... I'm here... Lower yourself as best as you can... I'll grab a paw and hold on tight, so you've got me to help you stay on... I'm sorry if it hurts! Spread your wings some and flap them, as you do so... hopefully it will help."

When he finished speaking, he carefully reared up and grips the leg nearest him in his paws, using his back ones to grip HIS branch tight. He waits, and holds on as she begins, slowly, to lower herself. She makes a mental whimper or two as she feels like she is going to slip, and they both cry out, him aloud, her in his mind, as at one point, it seems as if her slip was going to take them both down... But he grips on tight, and manages to correct, while she flaps frantically. They regain balance, and slowly, slowly, they finally get her down onto the sturdy branch. Once she's down, he lets go, carefully, and begins to back up, slowly, until he reaches the trunk. He begins to climb down, knowing she was following, and moves slowly, taking the route he took up it. After what seemed a long time, for down was harder then up, he touched bottom, and waited for her. "I am glad you are safe, sister... But please..." Hesperos let a begging not creep into his voice. "PLEASE, make sure to test the branches, and have Lunar and myself there?"

Response to Lunar
Hesperos was sitting quietly, his head lifted to the stars. He might not be able to see them, but he could feel them there, he was sure of it. If Lunar weren't busy, he'd ask her to watch them for... What on earth? What was that sound he... Oh dear, Lunar was upset. He lowered his head, as if looking at her, and sent her a gentle message in thought. Lunar, my dear sister... What is wrong?
Lunar replied My precious bauble! My lovely silver necklace with the gold moon on it! It's been stoooooooooooolen! I don't know who did it, and I don't know where it is nowwww! I was asleep! I need it back, it's so important to me!
Hesperos softly sighs, and then says Were you asleep in the garden when it happened?
Yes, and I had it with me!
Hesperos ponders, then says I'm coming... and slowly makes his way down to where his sister was. Please take me to see where you were sleeping, Lunar?
Lunar nods, and leads him over, then shows him everything she could see. He gently sends her directions, mentally murmuring 'Turn your head to the left' or 'Could you peek under that bush?' as he hunted for clues. He also sniffed around, trying to catch a scent to see if anyone had been nearby. After several minutes of sniffing and catching only their scents, he sits down, and thinks. Her scent seemed to be all over the place and... he'd thought he'd caught a glimpse of something nearby. But at the same time, she'd be upset if he told her he thought she'd knocked it under a bush in her sleep... How to handle this....?
Lunar, meanwhile, was crying and telling him "Pleaaaaaaaase! Please find it! Get it back from the thief! Please?"
AH! He had it. He stood up, and pretended to follow a scent trail he 'found' suddenly. I think I might have something! Hold on! He moved around in a random pattern, like some one might walk if they were trying to avoid waking a sleeper, then suddenly stops next to a bush. AHHAH! They hid it here! You must have started to wake up, and they didn't want to get caught, so dropped it here to retrieve later, and ran off! He pulled it out, and brought it to her, then thought, and added Perhaps, in the future, leave your precious baubles inside when you decide to nap out here? This way, no one will be tempted to try to steal them again! Now, I'm going to head back upstairs! He gave her a gentle nuzzle, and went up, feeling very proud of himself.

Solar prompt
The young kit’s body tensed up at his sister’s cry for help. His soft fur stood on their ends as fear ran down his spine. He wasn’t afraid for himself, but for his sister who may end up badly injured.
Where are you? his mind called out to her frantically as he jumped to his paws. Even if he lacked sight, with the help of his sister’s borrowed sight as well as his other slightly enhanced senses he tried his best to locate his precious sibling. The kit’s nose raised high up against the sky searching for the scent of his sun. He concentrated hard on ignoring all the other scents within the area. All the fresh trees, grass, flowers and other flora’s scents were strong, overflowing into his nostrils, but he was searching for one scent and one scent only.

Elden’s borrowed sight helped significantly in his search. In this sight he could see the image of himself running towards her, eventually slowing as he approached the tree. Stay very still, dear. Do as I instruct you, alright? I know you must be tired, but hang on for just a little longer?

Relying on his sister’s borrowed sight as well as his personal senses he used every paw and tail on his body available gathering as many leaves as possible. Some of the leaves were brown or yellow, dried and cracking while the others he gathered were still relatively healthy. The variety of leaves didn’t matter as much as the quantity. He tried to make use of all the leaves, making a bed of them in an attempt to hopefully soften her landing.

It wasn’t much, but it was the best he could think of on such short notice.

I have returned. This will be hard, but please do what you can? On the count of three lower your body closer towards the ground. If on the way the branch should break flap your wings as much as you can in attempts to soften your fall. Below you are a bed of leaves--although not much it should help even if only a little. I will also try to catch you.
Get ready...
One...
Two...
Three!

Solar only managed to lower herself about half way through until the branch gave way. With paws sprawled across the bed of leaves he tried his best to position himself directly below her. His back faced her while he waited for the impact of the fall.

The impact was still rather painful, even though she weighted only slightly less than him. Surely this would leave a mark or a bruise somewhere on his body, but it mattered little in comparison to his sister’s safety. In a few hours the two of them would both feel the pain of this event, but at the least he was glad she was safe, which was all that mattered in the end.

Lunar prompt
A frown appeared upon his maw as he heard Lunar’s cry of distress. Elden used his sensitive paws to feel his way around the rooftop, carefully lowering himself towards the garden. Why the tears, precious? Even without his eyesight he could hear the choked breaths coming from his sister. Plus it didn’t help to “see” through a blurry, teary vision either.

Patiently he listened to her entire story about her precious bauble. All this over a bauble? My dear, nothing is worth your precious tears, especially a bauble. He tried his best to assure her, but as with any child the meaning behind those words mattered little to her. All she wanted was her bauble back, not some silly words her brother preached.

I will help you find our bauble, so dry your tears. The boy lifted a paw, lightly pushing her tears away from her soft, pretty face. Let us start around this area? Perhaps this thief left it around here somewhere.

It wasn’t he didn’t trust his sister’s words...But he knew children had a tendency to exaggerate. Even he did it sometimes. Elden knew, however, no thief stole her bauble. More than likely she merely misplaced it somewhere. Or it might’ve rolled off somewhere.

This task was rather difficult considering his lack of eyesight. What he could see was only through Lunar’s eyes. Sniffing out an inanimate object was much harder than locating his sisters through scent. Even so, he would not give up trying to help her. What could he say? He was a sucker for their smiles and happiness.

Their hunt continued for what seemed like hours. He continued rustling bushes, pushing them aside in attempts to search for the little object. The color was oblivious to him, but the shape was not. He could feel the round object. It was smooth in some areas while rough in others. I have found it. Is this what you were searching for?

“Yes!” She exclaimed happily, giving him a soft nuzzle along with a lick on the cheek. “Thank you!” Lunar almost screamed from delight.
Her happiness was the best reward of this hunt he could ever hope to ask for.

Be sure to keep it close to you. I would not want you to cry over another lost bauble, precious.

Solar's Adventure:

"So, that's a circle?" A paw of thick and soft fur stretched forward, rubbing experimentally over the smoothed river pebble. Curving endlessly and having no faults on it's surface. A n** to his left ear was his response; a yes to his question. Then his arm left the object and trailed across the ground until it bumped into something else. Elysian knit his brows as he felt the rough texture of paper along the edges of this item. "A book. And this is what we call a square?" He recieved a n** to his right ear, however. -No no, that there is a rectangle, Ely. Some sides are shorter than the others.- The corner of his muzzle lifted in a tender smile as he turned glazen eyes to where the voice spoke. "I understand now..it's similiar to a square." -Thank you Lunar for helping me with this..- It was something of a blow to not comprehend what others were speaking of when he knew not what to visualize. Nothing to fret over, but it was still a small portion of knowledge that he'd humbly like to know about. Circles? Squares? At least now he had an idea of it.

-It's no trouble Ely- Her reply was lively with bubbling giggles in the background of her mind. It only made him smile all the more. He enjoyed his sister's calming presence. Like a peaceful and chiming river to sit beside, doing nothing but enjoying the energy it held. Speaking of energy..

Elysian sighed, his shoulders slumping with the slight action. -And Solar has run off again.- He could feel Lunar's light stir of confirmation, her having peeked her sister's playful wandering and Elysian having heard the area getting quieter during their study. The brother sighed again as he rubbed a paw against the back of his neck. Solar, Solar...bless her boundless energy. And it wasn't likely to assume she was sleeping nearby. That'd be too easy. But before he could question it further, both him and Lunar flinched to the sudden cry within their mind. -Solar?!- He grunted as he felt Lunar's smaller frame bump into his before lifting a paw to soothe her shaken back.

And they were off. It was without words or permission, just the simple demand of their blood bond that summoned them to run to the third sibling. Elysian ran shoulder to shoulder with Lunar, leaping when she did and his mind sharp to her directions as they traveled. -Solar, we're on our way, just hang in there!- The brother panted as he tried to keep up, some roots and low twigs getting the best of him at times and sending him tumbling. Lunar would meep and u-turn to help him up, both trying their best to keep their own panic away from Solar's link. Hers alone with her vibrant energy levels was enough to make the two anxious with fried nerves.

-There! Solar we're right here!- Ely skid to a halt as Lunar did, his ears flipped up alertly and his nose sniffing out his sister's location. A blinding and sudden flash scarred his mind's eye, full of color and light. It made him dizzy and he staggered sideways to the action with a hiss. She was in a tree? At least, that's what it appeared to be, with how shrunken him and Lunar appeared through Solar's firghtened sight.

-Ely!! Lunar!!!---

---cracking and her weight is too much! We have to hurry!-

The brother shook his head to the blending of mental communication, dispelling any urges of headaches. At least now the images were gone, and he was back in his drifting home of dark. "Woah, hey!" Ears pinned as Lunar had grabbed his paw, dragging him hurriedly to a specific location. But then he blinked as he heard a sharp 'snap' from overhead. -Now catch her!- He had barely heard Lunar over Solar's loud shreak of...fear? His paws outstretched widely, himself standing in a blind stupor counting how long it took for his rowdy sister to fall.

Almost four seconds.

Elysian weezed to the sudden weight of his sister in his front paws and he lost his balance. Thankfully Lunar was there, buffering them away from looser gravel by having a firm grip on Elysian's pastel cloths. The tug pulled him to sit on his haunches, Solar a quivering mess in his arms. "Solar, are you alright?" His cold nose brushed over her, smelling the shock and scare perspiring from her. Lunar skipped to their side immediately, petting and cooing to Solar. Ely did the same though without the cooing, a small frown on his face. "Solar..." He sighed once more, not bothering to scold what she already knew. And he could sense that she learned from this from her mind mumbling of what she just experienced.

Though....he too learned something from her excited and shakey blabbering of what happened.

Blind orbs slid to Lunar, and he heard a faint gulp from the girl.

-That loose gravel, just now....was that a ledge?-

-................maybe...- ^^;

Solar's Prompt:

Under his favorite tree enjoying the shade as Arcelius heard Solar call to him. Within seconds he was on his feet running towards his sister. ~I’m coming!!~ he replied back. Nothing else crossed his mind but what would happen if he didn’t get there in time to help her out. The one that played the most was that she would blame him for her death and that he wasn’t doing what a brother should be doing for his sisters, as he always thought the worst of things before the happened. In his mind there was not doing, but to always try and try until the task was done, even if it was redundant. Reaching the tree that Solar was up and trying to figure out what he was going to do. Arcelius paced around the tree to see if he could just tell Solar to let go and he would just catch her. But with the cliff and the wind blowing hard that the option became a no go. The only other thing he could think of was climb up there to save her. Solar was a better climber than he was and only climbed high when she wanted him to join her or for him to get a better look at the stars if his view was blocked by other things.

Hearing her cries more as she had caught sight of her and started to climb the tree. But testing each branch to make sure it held his weight before going to the next one. Getting nearer he could hear the panic in her voice that made his heart cry out to her and telling him to save her faster. But the branches that were right below her were just as weak as the one that she was on. So they weren’t safe for even Arcelius to even get on the farther he went out on it. Thinking back to one of the bigger ones that would hold both of there weight. Climbing back down to it and walking out on it to jump a few times to make sure that it wouldn’t break as well. Looking up and sensing her presence very near, ~Solar I want you to trust me and let go of the branch and I will catch you from below.~ he said as he tested the branch once more and noted other branches that were sturdy just in case.

~Ok~ as she breathed in and out mentally getting ready to let go of the branch. Letting go of the breaking branch the wind picked up a little making judgments harder for Arcelius and seeing he would have to do things a little more differently than he first thought. Jumping out from the branch he was on and catching her in the air and wrapping his body around her as they both fell for a little before Arcelius landed on a much bigger and sturdier branch. Nerves a little shot as the both of them climbed down the tree. Once on the ground, Arcelius snuggled Solar and wouldn’t let go. ~Next time you need to be more careful. But I’m glad that you are safe!~ as he gave her a nuzzle. ~I will try to be,~ she thought but that was no promise as exploring was in her nature. ~Me too.~ cuddling him as well.

Lunar's Prompt:

Listening to the whole story with full attention and cuddling Lunar to help her calm down. As a brother should and to make sure that they both were happy all the time or at least to his ability. ~I will help you find your bauble.~ he replied thinking to who would want to take one of them or also thinking that she just might have misplaced it. But he wasn’t going to judge until all the facts were in. Give her brother a big hug as she was excited that he was going to help. ~Thanks you!~ she said as she let go waiting for what they would do next. ~Let look for clues around your were sleeping,~ he suggested. Lunar just nodded and headed for were she was sleeping with Arcelius close behind taking in all the scents to figure out the mystery.

Getting to where Lunar was sleeping, Arcelius had Lunar look around for anything out of the ordinary, as he smelled around the place to see if he could catch an unfamiliar scent some where around the place. A few minutes later Lunar had come running back to him and took him to where she had found something that wasn’t there before. Carefully touching it with his paws to figure what it was. She had told him it looked like a footprint of some kind but she didn’t know. It was a little distorted from what Arcelius could feel as the creature was in a hurry to leave. Putting his nose right down in the footprint and take a deep breath. Holding it for a second as his brain tried to figure out what it was. When he did figure out what it was he let out a small cough as he hadn’t exhaled yet as he was trying to inhale. ~Come on I know where your bauble is,~ he said not telling her much more and becking her to follow him.

Arcelius took Lunar to a grove of trees that wasn’t that far from were she was sleeping. ~Where are you taking me, Arcelius.~ she said confused. ~Right here~ As he stopped right in front of a very large oak tree. ~Ok…but I don’t see my bauble.~ Lunar stated. ~I will be right back and you will see,~ he replied as he touched the tree trying to find the lowest branch. Climbing up slowly as he felt his way up and found the place where he thought the bauble was. Sticking his head in the hole and brought it back out with a squirrel in his mouth and with a flick of his head the squirrel went flying, giving angry chitterling all the way to the ground. With his head back in the hole for awhile. Giving a happy yep and headed back down to the ground with her bauble in his mouth. Once on the ground he gave it back to her. ~Thank you, Arcelius. I wouldn’t have found it without you,” Giving him a big hug. ~Your welcome. You will have to be careful of that squirrel. But I think its learned its lesson,~ he replied smiling as he cuddled Lunar.

Solar prompt~
The male kit himself was lying on his back, soaking in the rays of the sun while his two sisters had gone off somewhere to play. It wasn’t that he was lazy; it was just that Kinnara already had a bruise on his knee from the other day when he had tripped over a stone, despite Noctis’s warnings. It was silly really, he thought, a frown on his face. They had to depend on each other, and he didn’t listen. It was just that sometimes, he didn’t want to depend on his sisters so much. He loved them, and as their brother, he should be the one to protect them. Kinnara had been sulking ever since, and his two sisters had left him to go somewhere else to play, but they were near enough to keep in contact with each other; Kinnara’s plight had taught them a lesson.

He was about to drift off to sleep when a mental shriek interrupted him and he bolted up, scrambling wildly in the darkness of his world. “Hemera!” He called out, his voice shaky and wavering. Where was his sister? She sounded so scared! His heart beat furiously in his chest as he imagined the horrors that would come to her. A tree monster perhaps? Or a big, scary mean kitsusagi?

She answered him with a mental image of his plight and Kinnara immediately took off in her direction. Although blind, he knew; he always knew, where his sisters were. Their telepathic bond was something they all couldn’t explain, but for now, he felt grateful for it.

“Hemera?” He called out again, stopping below where she was. Right under Iota Orionis, the brightest part in Orion’s sword. “Use your wings! Try to fly!” He could sense the large space that threatened to swallow her up if she fell...if she did, it would not be a pretty sight. And that was saying something; he couldn’t see. But of course...he realised Hemera didn’t know how to use them. She was always too busy off exploring and adventuring...something he had encouraged, actually. “Oh man...” He muttered to himself. This was his entire fault!

Come on, Kinnara, do something! You’re the man of the family! Think...think... He paced back and forth while calling up to his sister to hang on. Biting his lip in determination, he spread his wings and shakily took to the sky for the first time. He wobbled and was about to fall back to the ground when he flapped them desperately, heading to where his sister was. No! He had to save his sister! He could do this! “Hang...” He panted. “On...” Man, flying was hard work!

Be strong, he told himself. Readying himself, he dashed forward and grabbed Hemera by the scruff of her neck as she was about to fall and headed to safe ground, landing uncertainly and making both of them roll through the grass before they came to a halt. Let’s do it again! Hemera chirped happily, but Kinnara shook his head sighing. “No.” He said firmly. “No more silly accidents.”

He had to protect his sisters. They had to protect each other. Next time, he told himself firmly as he rubbed his bruise with a wince, I will listen to Noctis.

Lunar prompt~
The silence was quiet and serene.

If this was in the daytime, Kinnara would have probably went crazy, jumped up and declared a tug of war or perhaps, a game of tag. He always felt full of energy when the sun was in the sky and could not bear sitting still.

But when the moon was out, it was lovely to have such peaceful silence. The calm lunar presence soothed him, and it was much easier to sense the stars at night. Granted, he could sense them no matter what; it was always dark for him, but he figured it had to do with how the stars could be seen twinkling in the black sky. Noctis and Hemera had told him, described to him how they looked like. But he could only imagine, after all.

His snout faced the sky, sensing the constellation Aquarius. The brightest star, Beta Aquarii was just a few degrees to the left and...

His sharp ears pricked up at the sound of soft whimpering and immediately frowned, leaping down from his position to face the source. He knew who it was; it was Noctis. Why was she upset? He puzzled. This was her favorite time of the day, after all.

Noctis? What's wrong?

Hearing his voice in her head, his sister broke out into sobs and revealed to him her misery; one of her precious gems, her baubles were gone! Most probably stolen by some thief whose evil deed hurt her heart so! Awkwardly, Kinnara shuffled his paws and patted her on the back consolingly.

If fate decrees you lose your gem, Noctis, then so be it. It may be a blessing in disguise.

It was the only consolation he knew how to give her. It might, as she said, been stolen, or just rolled away when she accidentally bumped into it in her sleep. One thing he knew for sure, it could not be easy to find it again. Besides, she had so many.

Our fate is written in the stars. Besides, they are much more precious than material items, and we should treasure what nature has given us. Don't cry, Noctis. If you find it again, it means that your fates are intertwined.

Besides, she had many other gems. His sister would get over this tragedy, he was sure. Letting her lean on his shoulder, he turned his muzzle back up to the sky, and quietly hummed a slow tune. Even though she couldn't hear his singing, he could feel her sobs begin to recede and her breathing grew lighter.

She smiled. He knew, despite his blindness.

The connection between them were that strong, that precious. Even more precious than her gems.

Lunar's Woes:

The months had passed and the trio of siblings had aged as well. It was a slow pace of change, but a change felt none the less. Especially when your wings were of misty substance and tingling your body at longer lengths than before. Without sight, it was the best constant form of measurement Elysian had. Well, besides his sisters of course.

The only male shook his head, amazed how easily the night calm could throw his mind into random tangents. And the orchestra of crickets were a soothing background sound to his ease. Stretching stiffly, Ely could feel the cool roof tiles graze along his back while soft fur shifted along his side. It was Solar, passed out from yet another day of rough housing and rowdy games. Muzzle smirked as Ely kindly ruffled his slumbering sister's hair, avoiding a swiping paw as the teen girl curled away from his teasings. Ely could always thank the stars above for a time of rest, else Solar would be an endless spark of energy that he doubted he could keep up with. Even so, it'd be nice to see the stars along with his sisters as they all lounged together. Not through borrowed senses, but through his own two orbs.

Ears twitched to a whisper of a sound, and Ely leaned forward to sit on his haunches. -Lunar?- She had left to use the restroom, as he remembered. And perhaps glimpse in the nearby pond to groom out her hair or the like. But this sound, it didn't sound as light and content as Lunar normally presented herself. It sounded like hiccups. Ely carefully slid to the edge of the roof, resting front paws on the edge and swishing his tail as he leaned over so she might see him. -What is wrong Lunar dear?-

He listened patiently as she whimpered a reply, sounding tragic in her lose of a precious bauble. Not just any bauble, but her treasured locket that came with her birth. A moon charm guilded beautifully on a shimmery chain. "Oh Lunar." With cautious but familiar paws, the brother made his way down the roof, landing somewhat gracefully near his sister. Scuttling could be hear before Lunar was beside him, nipping his ears in affection.

-Please, can you help me find it? I'm afraid whoever took it will be clear gone by sun up! Please Ely!?-

-And you're certain someone took it? How so?-

-Becauuuuuse, Ely. I never loose anything!-

The male lifted a brow in slight amusement. Lunar could be such a silly kitsu at times. -Do me a favor Lunar, and walk in a small circle for me.- He could sense the pause and confusion in her thoughts, but he beckoned her on with a wave of his paw. Sighing, Lunar did as asked, rather quickly so as to go back indoors to begin the search for her locket.

Elysian gave a soft chuckle. -Oh, then why do I hear a soft chiming?-
He walked over and pawed lightly at the loose folds of cloths. (assuming she has any xD; otherwise her longer and floofier feathers) Cool and smooth metal soon touched his paw pads, and he batted at the misplaced object. -That it?-

Lunar squeed openly and glomped Ely softly in joy. -Thank you thank you thank you! How did I ever miss it?-

-heh, no worries Lunar. Now, can we please go back to sleep?-
