Vivian stepped into the room, passing the earth soldier without so much as a glance back to him and his patronizing tone. "My name is Vivian, I am of the Dark Kingdom... make no mistake I am not here as an enemy." she announced as she drew carefully near the rooms center.

After a breath of silence she added, for good measure: "I only wish to know answers to question I have of your group."

Alaura was no young fool and would not just go about trusting someone based on their words. However, she was very skilled at keeping her thoughts hidden with a mask of upmost calm that seemed to cling to her smooth skin. She watched the woman before her with careful, calculating eyes, yet there seemed to be a warmth in them that could calm even the most cruel of beasts. It was this very manner about Alaura that seemed to lull people in a sense of security, not necessarily a false one, either. She listened to the woman's words, watching her movements as she came ever closer.

"I see. Well, I'm sure you can understand my apprehension in divuldging any information about this group. You may claim to be of good intentions, or at least of no harmful ones, but one can never quite be sure. Thus, I will listen to any questions you have but I cannot guarantee that I will answer all, if any, of them. My apologies if this is not what you wished to hear, but the safety of those around me is a top priority." She spoke in a smooth, calm tone. She wasn't smiling, but neither was she frowning. She seemed to have a pleasant air about her without having to act overly happy.

As she awaited the young woman's response she moved her hands forward to fold neatly in her lap. Those bright eyes shifted only once to the earth man behind this woman. He nodded to Alaura and left, shutting the door behind him. It seemed that though she had originally come leading only the earth men she had somehow come to be the leader of these others as well, without a spoken word. "Perhaps we could start with a name." She suggested to the woman, her gaze shifting back.

Crystal wound her way through the endless streets of the dark kingdom, listening to every little sound around her. For a girl of her age the streets were never quite safe, especially given her lack of eyesight. Still, she seemed to have developed the strange habit of looking about, regardless of the fact that she couldn't technically see anything, at least not in the traditional sense. She could, however, detect the small electrical pulses that ran through all living things, giving her a sort of strange vision. On top of that, each sound seemed to amplify in a way that sent visual signals to her brain. She may have been robbed of her sight but she had gained so much in return.

She turned down yet another street as she tried her way through the maze of a city. As she rounded the corner she noticed something about this part of town. Things smelled cleaner and the people seemed to move away from her as if she were some sort of disease ridden vermin. Well, at least she likely wouldn't have to worry about robbery. It was actually a nice change to have people moving away from her, rather than targeting her and following her.

She had no idea where she was going, but if she had she might have stopped and turned back. It seemed that in her curious wanderings she was moving ever closer to the inner parts of the city where the great fortress of the dark lord resided.

Xavier motioned his head towards the river then smiled at her.
"Well then, theres no time like the present to start but, it wont be easy, It will be strenuous and exhausting but it will be all worth it in the end".
Removing his shirt and placing it on the bank then taking off his shoes, he walked into the stream and waited for her to follow him in.

Vivian nodded, "Vivian Erikson of the Dark." she informed the woman who sat opposite her. Knowing well a full name would be better than just a first. She looked about the room, letting her eyes fall to each person individually.

"I wish only to know what this war is about." She added, having been sheltered most of her life from the ways of the world. She was quite practiced in her arts, and yet she did not know the events that transpired beyond the walls and gates of her family estate.

}~{ Heh, sorry Yamimaru about asking for your character's name when she just mentioned it. I guess I was in such a hurry when I wrote my last post that I didn't notice that part. Again, sorry about that but thanks for being a good sport. ^_^ }~{

Alaura looked to the girl with confusion evident in her gaze. How could she not know when it was her kingdom that had started it. Shaking her head to rid her own mind of such thoughts she looked to the woman once more. "Well, Vivian Erikson, my name is Alaura Daluna of the Earth Kingdom. The true reasons for the start of such a war are not clear to me, as I have not asked those who started it. I have only made the decision to defend those that were being attacked, as seemed the right thing to do. If you wish to know the truth, you would have to ask the leader of your own kingdom, for it is he who started this war. Beyond that I know only what I can guess, which would be land and power."

She sat back in her seat once more, relaxing a little more. She didn't think she had much to worry about, with so many allies around her and only this one potential enemy. She did not think of Seth as an enemy, not when he had risked his own life to aid this group. As such, he had earned her trust, hence her reasoning for saving him from that wall of earth back in the clearing. But this Vivian, despite her seemingly innocent manner, was someone who had yet to give Alaura a reason to trust her. Trust, with Alaura, was a rather simple thing. You had to earn it, to prove that you deserved it, else she would likely never trust you.

Vivian nodded, taking in Alaura's words without so much as shock in her eyes from hearing words spoken against her home. "Of course, I would ask him if I could. I should have suspected he was behind it all, my father was close to him... on of his trusted few. I was sheltered from the world as such." she responded, it was the truth she spoke and her eyes were left unguarded to show the room just that.

Being the daughter of a powerful man aligned with the most ruthless tyrant in the history of the Dark Kingdom meant being hidden from public eye and kept in the shadows about the dealings of the higher ups. Until she'd set foot behind the borders of the Earth kingdom she didn't know a thing about the woes her kingdom was causing. She let disgust set her jaw, "From what I have seen... if I ever have the chance to speak with he who calls himself my Lord... I would sooner rip his beating heart from his chest than listen to poison words from his forked tongue."

Alaura actually smirked at the girl's response. She was so adamant about making her disgust known to those in the room. "Believe me, you would likely have to get in line." She said with amusement. It wasn't often that you saw someone from the dark kingdom speaking so viciously about their own lord, yet here Alaura had two deserters, not simply one. Perhaps there were more who would turn against their dark lord if only for a measure of peace. And more than that, there was the fire kingdom as well. If they could convince enough people to stand against the war in those two kingdoms, or even in one, it might tip the balance enough to force this 'Dark Lord's' hand.

The pure elation in Alaura's eyes shone brighter than the sun itself could. Her mind was reeling with thoughts of turning the tides of this war, then she realized it wasn't just her thoughts. Her own excitement had caused her worn out body to react in a rather odd way. Her head was now spinning, making her feel rather awkward. Even so, she was leaning back which gave her and almost comforting foundation as she tried to hide her dizzy spell.

Keyla blinked as Xavier walked into the stream again. She just stood there, sort of dumb looking as she kept blinking a moment or two before she regained her composure and shook her head
"Umm.." she rubbed the back of her head and sighed.
"I suppose you are right..." she said as she took her shoes of and stepped into the water a well. She had no idea what she was supposed to do so she felt sort of... nervous actually, like a kid on the first day in school or something similar to it.

He laughed as he watched the expression on her face then bent down and splashed some water onto his hands and chest. Standing up and placing his hands by his side, Xavier focused as he looked at Keyla.
"Now the first thing you need to learn is to feel the water, to become one with the water. Without this unity, there can be no control of the water. Now do as I do."
Placing his hands palm up, Xavier closed his eyes.
"Clear your head of all thoughts, make sure the only thing that is in your mind is the flow of water."

Vivian could not hide the laugh the came from her at Alaura's admittance, waiting in line was a fine thing as long as she got a scrap to chew on herself... metaphorically speaking. Not too far back I hope." she responded, continuing the words spoken of a line.

She eyed every man in the room, each who looked at her had agreement in their eyes... to tear the Lord of the Dark limb from limb was a very shared sentiment among the renegades.

Adel turned to the man outside the door as Nicki left the room. Though this man hadn't been at this post prior to his short nap, he didn't think on it long and continued.. "You there, summon Ferros Sung, I wish to speak with him." The prince should be able to tell me when his armies are ready to advance. The small rebellion that has taken shelter among the trees has become far too much of an annoyance. Adel moved to his balcony and waited, staring down upon the city.

Moments later the guard returned alone. The man spoke to him from the doorway, not daring to enter the room, even averting his eyes to look at the floor. "My lord, Prince Sung has gone to visit Mr. Hlorian." Adel turned to stare at him. He walked over to the guard as the man lowered his gaze further down to now stare at his own feet. He feared that Adel would send him to the dungeons for torture or to be executed, and sweat began to run down his face. Adel walked passed him into the hallway, stopping briefly. "I don't like to be disappointed." He then continued down the hallway.

He made his way through the many hallways and down the two flights of stairs to come to the main entryway. The guards posted along the way all standing at attention as their lord passed. The doors were opened for him and the evening sky came through. He passed through the doorway and stopped once more, closing his eyes. His breathing got deeper as he concentrated. Just as he opened them, a yell could be heard from his third floor bed chamber. The nervous guard had just leapt off the balcony onto the ground three stories below. As I said... I don't like to be disappointed. Adel walked calmly down the path to the city, on his way to see Nicolai.

Nicki had left Adel's room not long before, having made her way through the courtyard and eventually out of the gates and into the city. The guards had not hastled her, as was common given their natural fear of her. She had always found their fear amusing. As a demon she thrived on such feelings, and her mind couldn't help but twist images of what the world would be like when she finally showed her true colours, as it were. A bellowing roar from above broke the silence and her thoughts and she looked up, her icy gaze landing on a monsterous creature that glided through the air with a grace that seemed impossibly for it's huge body.

Fear. The beast had aptly been named by Nicki for the emotion that seemed to trail in the beast's wake. People shuddered, even here in the dark kingdom, as the dragon-like beast flew through the skies. They knew that no one was saved from this beast, no one was spared the monster's wrath. It was merely a beast, or so they thought, controlled by the vicious hand of Nicki. However, Nicki rarely controlled the creature, letting it do as it pleased so long as such actions didn't interfere with her own plans.

"Come, my pet." She said in a calm voice as Fear swooped low to the ground. He gave a rumble that indicated his obediance to the dark woman and off they went, one walking while the other flew. Fear's presence seemed to warn those ahead that Nicki was coming, leaving the streets practically clear. There was one child, however, that seemed to stand out as the woman walked. She seemed oblivious of the beast's trumpeting call that heralded her approach. This girl, with pink hair and eyes of an unnatural teal colour, seemed simply to look to the skies, then down the street in Nicki's direction. She couldn't have been very old, just beginning the double digit years at best. So how was it that not an ounce of fear showed on this girl's face? She was a puzzle, to be sure, but one that Nicki would not bother to solve now.
