<" You better hide for her freezing hell... "> While it was easy enough for the White Witch to see what affect she had on the star, it was ignored all the same. To have a truly obedient servant was what anyone could have asked for, and while she wouldn't actually say the words, to have such a thing was something that Jadis wasn't about to turn down. Allowing her eyes once more to travel to the exit from the How, she closed her eyes, allowing the sounds that echoed in the round room to reach her.
It was through this method that she was able to tell that Velox spoke the truth, a fact that allowed her smirk to remain on her lips as she opened her eyes once more. "There is a time and a place for everything, little star," was all she said in reply to such words; no, now was not the time for force, now was the time for fear, and she was quite certain fear had already been put into place.
Looking to Velox then, she appeared to ponder something before she motioned the star closer with a finger. "Now, is a time for rejuvenation, and rebuilding. You are... ready to do such," the White Witch said, pausing to raise an eyebrow at the star that all but asked her to say no- so that she could freeze her, "are you not?" The first step would be to find a place to use as a base- and frankly, she had missed her castle...

"Rebuilding?" Velox repeated sheepishly. She looked around the How curiously and reminisced of the majestic castle she once resided in. Nothing sounded more appealing to her now than to just have a sweet treat and a sparkly object to play with. The only thing worse than the star's frail temptations was the fact that Jadis knew exactly how to manipulate her weaknesses.
"Do you prefer to journey with your sleigh or shall I just teleport us?" Velox asked, unsure of the queen's state of magic stability.

<" You better hide for her freezing hell... "> The White Witch raised an eyebrow as Velox repeated her words, nodding her head but once to tell her that she had heard her correctly. Waiting impatiently only to find her not answering her question, Jadis pondered for a moment before she looked to the tip of her staff. Drawing a quick rune in the air, she then poked it with the crystal end of her staff, watching as the air where she had drawn such a symbol flashed before a small ball of silver light was suspended there, glowing faintly.
Putting out her hand, Jadis used her staff to direct the ball to her free hand, now upturned, to a place of rest. "Do you like it, my little star?" she asked her, balancing the ball upon her finger, where it glowed gently. "I will give it to you in return for your previous loyalty... should you answer my question." Being teleported to where her castle once stood- she didn't want to waste time with her sleigh when she had Velox there, after all- could wait; first, a test of Velox's loyalty had to be made, especially when she had nearly failed to resurrect her.

A childish grin took over Velox's face as she became transfixed by the glowing ball of light. "Yes yes yes!" she answered ecstatically. Truthfully, the young one had no idea exactly what she was agreeing to, but it was all the same to her. Doing things now and just fixing it later was one of her favourite life philosophies.
While doing an elegant bow Velox said "Your wish is my command."

<" You know that there's no denying... "> The White Witch watched her servant's reaction to her gift with great attention, not wanting to miss any flicker of emotion over her face, any change in body language, nothing; it wouldn't do to miss something of such importance to the test at hand, really. To see her react in such a positive manner, her cold eyes took in the bow, a small smirk traveling to her lips at such obedient words. "Then it is yours, my faithful little star," were the words she replied with, a mere flick of her staff making the ball of light jump from her hand to float in the air before Velox's very face, as if inviting her to take it.
Such a task done, Jadis let her hand, the one that had once held the ball of light suspended fall, her staff tilting so that she might grip it before her with both hands. "Now, we must waste no more time. Take us to the palace, Velox, so that we might once more begin my great work." Narnia would no longer ignore her return, no, she'd make sure of it...

Whilst still blindly transfixed to the orb of light, Velox commanded the elements to transport them. Before one could even comprehend the engulfing whirlwind, the pair had already arrived at the infamous palace.
The structure looked nothing like it had during Jadis' supreme reign. Even amongst the sunlight and glowing atmosphere, the castle had an eerie mystique about it.
Velox looked at the White Witch's stern expression and cooly stated, "I dont suppose you'll want to do some refurnishing?"

<" You know that there's no denying... "> Personally, Jadis could have cared less that the star had been distracted so by her new little toy, so long as she did what she had been ordered to do. As such, when the familiar whirlwind engulfed her and the next moment she found herself standing upon the ground where her stunning palace once stood, she was satisfied- for but a moment. To see her palace having crumbled during the time she was gone brought a hint of sadness to her heart, one that was quickly crested over by anger.
Ignoring Velox's words, the White Witch stepped past the crumbling gate that led to the courtyard, not at all surprised to find the area devoid of statues; she well remembered Aslan, that damn prideful lion, bursting onto the last battle with those she had frozen at his back. It made her bristle slightly just thinking of it, but she soon brushed it from mind and instead entered into her palace, again not surprised to see how it had crumbled. All the same, she walked across the main hall and up the steps to her throne, the one thing made of ice that still remained- and would always remain, really.
Taking a seat upon it, the White Witch set the tip of her wand on the one arm, holding it vertical as she looked to her free hand, drawing her index finger up to her lips with an almost thoughtful- if not determined- expression. Biting the tip of her finger hard enough to pierce her skin and draw blood, she used her thumb to get it to bead on her skin before she smeared it along her fingertip. Satisfied with her work, she stared straight ahead, her face devoid of emotion as she set her hand down on the other arm rest.
In a great blast of white light, the palace repaired itself, the lake leading up to it once more freezing over, each and every room repairing, refurnishing, and reestablishing itself. As the flash of light dimmed, Jadis removed her hand from the arm rest, using her thumb once more to discard the now dried blood on her fingertip, the smallest bit of her found in her blood enough to have restored her mighty fortress. And now, she would wait, wait for those still loyal to her to return, for her reign to be reestablished... for Narnia to bow to her rule of ice once more.

The Ice Queen has returned.
May the battle for Narnia begin anew, old loyalties be tested, and even the simplest of creatures take up their swords and shields for the land they love.
