It' could be very true that the idea's for the ever living vamprie may have come from the fact that diagnosing death wasn't as reliable as it is now. I also like that you threw in the NDE partion, in many ways they are the same person, but may feel like they have been changed. smile Might I also add though that there were illness that might have lead to some of the idea's behind vampires. There are those who were and are sentive to sun and light, had low blood counts or iron and such. Now we know these things could be signs of other illnesses, but that wasn't always known.
Queen of demon, I think you could find more answers vie way of just asking the questions to the things you'd like answers too. You wouldn't to get to indept about hows and whys of your own background. Just simple things like What is it you really want answered? well what i wanna know!?!?! 1st i want to know why this happened to meh 2nd i wanna know why shawns father luke is was so mad shawn told meh 3rd i want to know if there is any possible cure that lasts longer than a month and 4th how long will it last 1. You were chosen because your friend told you about himself and his family....no one can know that isn't one themselves 2. He is mad because stuff like this is suppose to remain secret...not everyone is understanding 3.There is no permant cure...once one always one 4. This is eternity....that is how long it will last. I never said I didn't believe you...I jsut wanted to know why you had 2 stories.....I am sorry to offend!

1 Alice in wonderland may be right, you were chosen because your friend told about them self and famliy. He may have felt that the only way for you to really understand was to be one as well. What better way to understand then to be one?
2 Shawns father? Is this the father of the one who did this to you? If so he may be up set because you were made one. He may understand that making you one was not the answer or the right thing to do. Now that it is done though there isn't a whole lot he can do about it other then get mad enough to make sure you guys remember his anger and not repeat the actions.
3 It would most likely if at all last until you or another knows enough to know how to cure it.
4 It also could end in a way with you, by not making the same mistake your friend made by making you one without your understanding of just what it was you were getting in for.
Understand though I don't know much about your story. I only know what i have been able to gather from your post here about whats been going on with you.

The logical side of my brain is telling me I'm insane, that I shouldn't be in this forum, that I shouldn't be posting...it's a good thing I don't listen to my logical side...or any part of my brain...(that explains a lot... sweatdrop )
Anyway, moving on. I want to believie you, because I'm going to go on pure instint(sp?...really tired guys,bear with me here) and say you're a good person. I know where you're coming from, trying to convince people of something when you have very litte or no physicial evidence ( or in your case could get in serious trouble for sharing it) is not an easy thing. It's even harder when you show someone, and they almost jump out of their skin, then run away from you screaming. (Note: This didn't happen to me, but to a non-human...well...half-human friend. I figured out what they were accidentally, and it wasn't pretty) Eventually,they either come around, pretend it's a dream, or stay far, far ,far away from you.
So, I'm going to bypass the screaming and avioding you bit to jump straight to the believing you bit. You don't have to tell me anything more if you don't want to. If you feel you just want to chat though, PM me.
