Conan ran for what he thought was his life as the cats were surly close behind him. Conan had taken a few shortcuts over fences and up buildings to get away from the vicious felines and now it seamed as if he had lost them. Breathing hardly Conan looked around and realised something. He had no idea where he was. “ aww come on” was what Conan shouted as he figured he might as well wonder around and try to find a way back home. Every turn was just another dead end or another path. Conan was completely lost. “ this is just grate what do I do now?” Conan started kicking a stone down the path. Looking up as he came around a corner Conan saw something that put his smile back on his face. It was Anzu and Nyame. As Conan started Running up to the two Conan happily shouted “ hey Nyame-sensei, Anzu-sensei” Conan was about to say more but then tripped on the rock he was kicking a few moments ago and broke his fall with non-other then his face.” Owww” Conan mumbled out as he stood back up in front of his two senseis.

Anzu was interrupted as a branch clansman entered the library, alerting him of an uninvited intruder wandering around the estate grounds. The only reason why they hadn't apprehended him yet, it seemed, was because the intruder was a child...and the passing Senju clansman thought he might've been one of Anzu and Nyame's students.
Nyame, who was finally managed to get her troope to leave by convincing them to head to her blacksmith shop first, and that she would be following shortly accompanied Anzu out of the main compound. Anzu's sense of tracking was quite good even without Nyame's Byakugan, fitting for the captain of the ANBU forces, and the two easily spotted on a sole figure wandering towards the path to the open pavilion. It was...
Conan?!?!
Anzu eyed the boy strangely. "Conan-kun...? How did you get this far?" See, the open pavilion was situated a stretch of grounds behind the main compound, with a great river surrounding the pavilion's peninsula. Three paths, two from the side and one directly from the library of the main compound converge to form the path to the pavilion. But that wasn't important. The fact was, the estate gates in the first place was much further DOWN.
**The pavilion is the second picture on the front page. It's an open garden of sorts.

Conan simply smiled at Anzu as he said “ ok well I was in the village reading my book” Conan quickly pointed to his book that he had put into his bag before continuing.” Well while I was reading I was making my way home… Well I kind of got too deep into reading that I wasn’t really paying attention to where I was going so I kind of ran into a kitty…the problem being was that the kitty had friends…bigger scarier friends.” Conan felt a shiver don his spine as he continued. “ well they kind of scared me…so I ran. And after I hoped a few fences and the like I lost them… but then I didn’t really know where I was. So I started wandering around and then I found you.” Conan finished his tale as he smiled at Anzu. “ so…umm. Could you kind of point me home? Or could you at least tell me where I am so I can find my way home myself?”

Nyame sighed softly. "Anzu, your clan really has poor security..." She ignored the indignant 'hey!' from the Senju elder and turned to Conan. "Well...Conan-kun, you happen to be on the Senju estate. Hm..." Her voice trailed off. "The Academy classes won't be resuming for another day but...if you like, we can have extra assignments to build up your strength and stamina."
The Hyuuga teenager gestured to the pavilion further ahead. "Anzu told me you enjoyed learning about the medical arts. The Senju clan are famous as medic-nins of our village. Anzu could introduce you to the different herbs...they also raise quite a few rare types here in their pavilion gardens."
Anzu nodded. "Yep. And those herbs goes to Nyame's clan, who take the responsibility of making them into salves, antidotes, and other potions." A light pause. "We could make them ourselves but with such low clan numbers and besides, the Hyuuga clan...they have quite a talent for refining things."

When Conan herd Nyame talk about herbs Conans face lit up. He had planed on going home but the chance to learn about herbs was too much for him just to say no and leave. “ Wow really? The clans are so amazing. I wish I was part of one.” man that would be soo amazing to be able to be near herbs so much Nyame had also mentioned extra assignments and Conan smiled. “Nyame-sensei that would be just amazing if you could do that. I was getting kind of bored and I don’t think Kimiko-sempai likes me very much. or maybe you could teach me about the herb that grow here.” Conan then realised that he was the intruder here and that his Sensei’s were probably busy. “ unless your busy of course Nyame-sensei” Conan smiled as he rubbed his head.

Nyame smiled gently. It was...strange to see how just the mere mention of herbs could make a child so happy. "No, I won't mind at all." She said softly, after a short moment. Anzu had been staring at his teammate for a few long minutes now... He got the feeling something was missing. And then he remembered. "Oh. Nyame-hime...your wakisashi..." His voice trailed off. Nyame must've left her sword behind in the Senju library. Before Anzu could continue with insisting on retrieving her sword, Nyame excused herself. “Eh...so stubborn. Come, let’s follow, Conan-kun. I’ll get us a couple of books that may be of use too.”

Conan was happy to hear that Nyame didn’t mind helping him but apparently Nyame had something to do because she left off towards somewhere. Anzu said that they would need some books from the library and that they would follow Nyame. As Conan walked up next to Anzu he asked him “ Anzu sensei, what kind of books are we going to get? And umm what is it that Nyame-sensei’s rushing off to get?” Books were Conans second favourite thing next to medical things. He had learned a bit about medicine so far and knew he still had so much to learn still. But he was excited about it. Conan happily walked beside Anzu thinking about what he was going to learn this day.

"Hm...we'll get the Senju herb dictionary, for starters. I hope I remember where it is... Oh, and Nyame went to get her wakisashi. You know, that short sword she always carries around. I would wonder why she didn't make a naginata or kodachi instead..." A short pause. "For reference...the wakisashi sword is traditionally worn with the katana by those of the samurai class. Of course, we shinobi don't oblige to that rule and could choose to bring along whatever weapon we wish. For example..." Anzu pointed to himself.
"My weapon is the nodachi, the long katana. But it's a weapon that was originally designed for mounted use. It's about the same height as me... Nyame-hime's been trying to make me settle for a katana or kusarigama instead but..." A short pause. "Though a nodachi is usually unwieldy, for we of the Senju line, heavy items isn't a problem." Such an indirect reference to the Senju clan's famous strength.
---
They may have left the library only moments ago, but Nyame was still rather uncomfortable. Not intimidated by the vastness, as the Hyuuga clan’s grand library certainly rivals this equally in space...but the Senju clan’s library was just...for all practical terms, strange. A frown tugged at her lips as the Hyuuga princess uncomfortably recalls Anzu cheerfully reminding her there was a boa constrictor supply that had yet to arrive.
Mentally, Nyame made a note to NOT come here after that happens. Actually, she already regrets coming here in the first place. He calls this...rainforest...a library... A monkey, hanging upside down from a thick tree branch by its tail, suddenly appeared right in front of her face. “...” Normally, anyone else in her place might scream but Nyame, annoyed, suddenly spiked her chakra levels, sending the monkey scurrying off.
“Hn.” She muttered to herself. It took some walking to reach the center of the ‘library’. Nyame couldn’t help but notice how she could’ve missed several giant mushrooms growing on the tree giants on the way in and out before. But sure enough, by the thick knots forming ‘desks’ and ‘seats’, it was indeed the place they were at before. Anzu, having forgotten to dismiss the chairs he grew from the ground, certainly had helped.
Her wakisashi sword’s gold inlaid ebony sheath rested against her chair’s side. With a single, swift movement of her pale hand, the sword now rested in Nyame’s arms. She slipped the sword in her inner kimono’s sleeve; after she shook the outer kimono’s sleeve over it, the thick embroidered silk hid all signs that she carried a weapon at all.
She would’ve left right then but voices quickly approaching the area caught her attention. Nyame slipped behind one of the tree giants and wasn’t surprised to see the older members of the Senju council enter the scene.
---
The oldest of the group, appearing to be a middle-aged man in his late forties, spoke first. Nyame, however, recognized that in actuality this one would be over his sixties. “Isn't Anzu-sama going too far? First taking that branch kid in to the main house and now...” The voice became laced with scorn. “That woman’s child. A half-blood for kami-sama's sake, Melediana.” A second figure, a woman appearing of the same age, responded: “He is one of Anzu-sama’s students now, I believe. Of course, Charon, then the clan members couldn't do anything.”
The man called Charon answered darkly. “They were heading to the pavilion, right? It would be so easy, with all those poisonous species... Kill the kid, then use his corpse to attack Anzu-sama. He’ll have no choice but to "kill" the half-blood then.”
Nyame couldn’t help a startled gasp. They were talking about Rosuto and Conan! She had heard of plotting before, of course, the other Hyuuga elders often does that but...she got the feeling she was in big trouble now. These people meant business and if she doesn't warn Anzu soon, Conan's life is in danger! “Who’s there?” Charon demanded, his cane smashing heavily into the ground. Timing couldn’t have been worse, as Nyame’s sandals accidentally connected with and snapped a thin stick on the ground. “Come out!” Demanded the sandy-haired woman (Melediana).
Hyuugas were good at hiding their emotions...thank kami-sama for that. Inside, she was scared as Nyame stepped from her hiding place. She knew very well this whole library, no, this whole compound was the Senju “home area”. In fact, she was stepping on a giant metaphoric bomb. But she couldn’t help the contempt laced in her words.“To think of killing a child...coniving crones...” While Nyame said this, her mind was quickly formulating a way out of this. Talking would probably not be a option other than offer temporary delay. Yet she...didn’t want to destroy this library Anzu loved so much. “Former head doctor Charon and Corpse dancer Melediana...you shame both Konoha and the Senju name! Anzu wouldn’t ever allow something like this.”
“Hyuuga’s kuruizaki-hime (Madly Blooming Princess).” The old woman next to him sneered. “Hadn’t your parents thought you eavesdropping is an awful habit?” Looking to the Senju clansmembers next to her, she ordered. “Don’t let her get away.” Charon, next to Melediana eyed the young Hyuuga woman coldly, obsidian eyes boring into Nyame’s defiant pale ones. “What would an outsider like you know about the Senju pride? No...from one like yourself you should understand. Of the remaining purebloods of our clan - for Anzu-sama to associate with filth!”
The crone next to Charon cackled. “Hehe...no, Charon. Isn't kami-sama kind? Kuruizaki-hime will be a even better doll than that child! With that famous speed, killing the filthy devil-child would be so easy. Oh, don’t worry...” She sneered, the dark shadows on her face making her look even more like the wicked witch of the west. “You won’t have the honor to die by Anzu-sama’s hands. But how would his mentality stand, thinking he murdered his teammate?”
Tsk. She’ll have to fight her way out after all. Anzu, I’m sorry... She thought. “There is someone I’m waiting for.” She replied simply. “You’ll be a fool to underestimate me.” The provocation worked, the old woman charged at her, intending to bring her stick to Nyame’s neck. Both knew very well that the attack was deceptive, the stick carried the Senju clan’s famous Gouwan style’s power.
“Melediana! Stop, kuruizaki-hime is a Katon user and have you forgotten her Tai-...!”
Too late. The stick never connected. A furious Anzu was not that far behind Nyame, his hand in a single seal. The roots of the nearby tree had totally entrapped the cane.
“What is the meaning of this, attacking a guest!” Anzu’s voice was deadly quiet but his golden-hazel eyes flashed with fury. With a violent swing of his right arm, breaking the seal apart, the roots of the tree pulled the cane free from the crone’s grasp and sent it flying. “Talk!” The ANBU captain’s arms were crossed but he had taken the interval to close the distance and push Nyame behind him.
The Hyuuga princess took the cue to keep Conan behind her. "Stay by us." She whispered urgently.

Conan didn’t have the slightest idea of what was going on. A few seconds ago Conan and Anzu were talking about ninja weapons. And now it looked like a fight had started. Conan was trying to figure out why they would be fighting but he didn’t really know anything about the situation. Furthermore Conan didn’t really know what to say or even do for that matter. Nyame had told him to stay near her so what choice did Conan have but to possession himself behind Nyame so that he could just peak his head out in order to see. Conan wanted to figure out what was going on. Even if he was scared Conan would like to figure things out. Then when Conan tried to say something his mouth wouldn’t move. (Why cant I talk…am I scared? Conan felt like he had something stuck in his throat but he was able to force himself to whisper form behind Nyame. “ Nyame-sensei…what’s going on…”

Realizing that killing intent still hung in the air, the elders present swallowed and immediately quelled the uncomfortable chakra levels. "A-anzu-sama...kuruizaki-hime...she..." The sandy-haired woman called Melediana began nervously, hoping Anzu hadn’t seen much.
Instead, the ANBU captain scowled, his tone dark. "Don't lie to me. I saw you attack my teammate first. You, crone, who is among the standing Sannin dare attack a high-standing Jounin, the princess of another clan? Have you forgotten the Senju clan’s position! Do you wish to stir a civil war?" "Anzu - Conan-kun, he's a - ...!" Nyame began with great urgency. "SILENCE, GIRL!" This time, it was Charon who roared, paralyzing killing intent gushing free, sending a senbon aimed for Nyame's neck. With a low growl, Anzu blocked the needle, the senbon easily bouncing off, thanks to his steel gauntlet below his simple yukata’s sleeves. Seeming to realize what he had just done, the brown-haired Senju elder (Charon) paused before nervously biting back an apology....
Anzu's own killing intent had spiked to dangerous levels.
"You dare attack her again, this time in front of my face? Get the hell outta my - ...!" "No, Anzu!" This time, Nyame gripped his sleeve urgently. "They must stay! Conan's a Senju, Anzu...his mother was of this clan's main family! They were plotting to murder him just because he's...just because...he’s like..." Her voice trailed off. "Oh...poor, poor Irihi..." She seemed dangerously close to tears now. "I...knew it was bad but never that he had suffered so..."
"What does that have to do with - wait a minute, say WHAT?!" Anzu's jaw dropped. "B-but!" He spluttered, gesturing from Conan to Nyame. "I knew all of the main family records... I was charged with managing them! Unless..." Anzu's gaze returned on the elders, his cold amber glare gone even colder. Nyame nodded. "Unless some records were destroyed."
A veinpop now appeared on Anzu's temple, pulsating dangerously. He was so angry he could barely properly enunciate his words. "And...all of you...hypocrites...dare accuse Nyame's clan of being pureblooded freaks? Get out of my sight, I'll deal with you lot later..." As it was the wish of the clan heir, the Senju elders bowed and left the library hastily.
When Anzu was sure he could no longer feel the other chakra signatures, he sighed, rubbing his temple tiredly. "My apologies, Conan-kun. I had no idea this visitation would grow quickly unpleasant. Please, both of you...don't leave my sight. Nyame, you do understand not even your clan status can protect you on these grounds?" The Hyuuga princess nodded. But instead, she said: "I believe Conan-san has a story for us, no?" A light pause. "Your mother...we of the Council of Elders only know her as a Konoha-born woman recently returned to the village with her son. But...it was so dangerous for her to hide her lineage." Nyame's expression darkened. "What you saw just now... Not all of clan elders of archaic lines are like Anzu..." "Hn. Or like Nyame-hime." Anzu piped in.
Nyame's expression saddened. "If it wasn't for the current village circumstances, your mother might had been murdered." A light pause. "Do you understand? If the others knew she was a Senju, and a pureblooded one thrown cruelly from her clan...at the least, the people of Konoha would protect her." She laid a gentle hand on Conan’s shoulder. "Please, keep this in mind and tell her that."
Anzu sighed, but gave a request before preoccupying himself with finding what he had returned to the library for. Seriously...if he hadn’t decided to come back here to fetch that book... “This...” Anzu muttered tiredly. “...is the Senju library. We have used the finest species of tropical tree giants as well as rare tropical birds and monkeys - oh, that’s it I give up.” The ANBU captain pointed to the closest tree. “For all practical purposes, this is indeed, as Nyame-hime claims, a rainforest.”
And excellent a description that indeed was: with the tree giants harboring giant mushrooms on the ancient bark, colourful tropical birds, various species of monkeys, and the layered shrubbery on the lower canopy - complete with moss glistening with dew and all. The tree roots converge here and there to form knots, of what was assumedly ‘desks’ and ‘seats’. Here and there, boulders were present as well but judging from several empty chairs which Anzu dismissed, growing real chairs were not a problem either. “Anyways.” Anzu bit his thumb, wiped a line of blood across a seal (located on the floor of a tunnel formed by interwining roots), and formed a couple of seals.
Kuchiyose: Tobidogu. In a poof of smoke, a thick volume now rested on the top of the tunnel. That would answer any questions on why this place didn’t have a roof and how the books are stored. Anzu kept muttering while pulling the volume easily up by one hand. “So. Tell me about you and for practical sake, let’s try and stay in the pavilion. I really don’t feel like dealing with crabby crones right now...”
Cp: 2714/2722
Tobidogu (Projectile Weapons) In order to store and use large items or various weapons, the user can unleash them by utilizing summoning scrolls. In this way, the person won't be burdened by carrying weighted artillery when going up against an opponent. Rank: C Cp Cost: All numbers are per item stored 2 [small objects, eg, kunai, shuriken] 8 [medium objects, eg. tanto, books] 15 [in between objects like katana] 25 [large objects, eg. human-sized puppets, kusarigama, nodachi] 40 [huge objects] Damage: N/A Requeriments: Scroll, intelligence 20+, Fuuinjutsu 2/6/15/30/40 [depending on the size] Training days: 2/2/3/3/4 days, must be learnt in succession. So huge items would take 2+2+3+3+4 = 14 days to learn.

Conan was poking his head out when Anzu had stopped the projectile to stop Nyame from saying something but she still said what she was going to say. The Conan was a Senju. Conans immediate response was stunned silence how could he be a Senju it just didn’t seam possible. The three people who were attacking Nyame had left now after receiving a good yelling done by Anzu. Most of the stuff that was said Conan didn’t really under stand but he did understand one thing. That he was a Senju. Anzu now wanted some sort of explanation but what was he supposed to say. Still in a little bit of shock Conan felt like he had just drank a glass of sand followed by someone shoving sandpaper down his throat as he started to talk. “ well…I…I don’t know I I I didn’t know. I mean I was born hear in the village. My mother never told me about anything about our family history. Except about my father, how he was a grate ninja… but he died while he was on a mission due to numerous injury’s… that’s why I want to be a medical ninja… but she has never told me I was part of a clan.” Conan then thought abut what Nyame had said before and quickly said. “ you don’t think that they would hurt her would they!?”

Nyame noticeably grimaced. "I once thought no other clan was as pureblood-bent as my clan's crones. Apparently, I was wrong." A short pause. "I don't know..." Anzu growled. "Yeah right, like I'll let them hurt my aunt." Nyame stared at him. "How are you sure she's your aunt and maybe not a second cousin...?" "The only main family member who went missing...is my father's sister. I'm quite positive." "So...that means." Nyame gestured to Conan. "He's your nephew." A nod answered her. A long moment passed before Nyame groaned, shaking her head. "Gomen, Anzu. You know I hate lineage trees..."
Anzu looked excited at the prospect of meeting a family member. One directly related to his blood. He never had the chance to meet his grandparents while they were alive and see, he was orphaned young after his father, the previous head of family and his wife was killed in a tragic incident. As a replacement, Senju Zephyr took the position as head of family and as Anzu's guardian. "Perhaps we could visit her sometime!"
Occupied by the talk, they had reached the pavilion. The interior open gardens were even more lovelier than how Anzu could've ever described. There were no windows, the pavilion was built in the traditional Japanese style so on the other side and all around was a lovely view of the assimilated peninsula's open river. Gardens of different herbs were in bloom on all sides - the hanging gilded ceiling protects them from torrential rains - some species were extraordinarily breath-taking with lovely, vibrant blossoms...but Anzu knew better.
Many were poisonous. He'll have to be extraordinarily careful teaching Conan about the different species and how to cultivate poisons.

“ wait now your telling me that I’m not only a Senju, but that were related.” It was just a lot of information to take in at once now they were at the pavilion and Conan took a few deep breaths to calm his emotions. He wasn’t mad or annoyed. Just a little taken back by it all. After a few more breathes Conan turned and smiled at Anzu and Nyame and said “ well then… I’m not entirely sure if she would like that.” Conan paused as he remembered his Mothers…creative ways of dealing with him. But then it made a lot of sense all the things she’s done to him. She must have this Senju strength. “ she can be a bit… energetic… anyway what are you going to teach me about the herbs and flowers Anzu-sensei?” Conan figured that he would probably learn a lot more then he would of if he still hadn’t know he was a Senju. But now he had something a little more then knowledge he had a new family member.

((The 'index volume' is basically the information from the Alchemy guide, specifically the plant part, found in the Game System.))
"I'll leave the index here." Anzu murmured as he laid the huge appendix volume down on one of the pavilion's carved stone tables. From his bag, the ANBU captain pulled out a blank scroll and gave it to Conan. "You have a three part job here. I will give you a brief introduction to medicinal and poisonous plants. Drawing from what you learned by that lecture, you will be shown the different species of plants in here and asked to tell if a species is poisonous or not. Afterwards, as I explain the plants' species and a little about each one, you are to note their names down on that scroll, as well as take notes on what you deem important. Leave enough space in between, because you will have to go back to that big book over there and look up the plants later to learn whatever usage they have in medicine." A light pause. "We'll talk about gathering poisonous species later and cultivating them into practical usage."
"Now, Conan... Listen very carefully: most bright species of plants are characteristically poisonous. That would include fungi of the amanita and fly agaric branch, though we do not cultivate them here as they can be found in the forests and surrounding mountains. Poisonous plants...they may also be very subtle. A simple, dead-looking patch of black grass may be Gorso, that brews its own toxic gas. And of course, be very wary of types of trees past the commonly recognized types. Hemlock poisoning can potentially paralyze your heart and lungs. Before we go observe the different species...finally, be wary of pod-bearing plants that do not fit into your common stringbeans. For example, opium, is the juice of unripe poppy seeds - a powerful sedative."
A short pause before Anzu motioned for Conan to follow him. "Come with me."

Conan happily took the scroll given to him as he thought yes finally something hands on. No more reading about it Conan cheered to himself. The fact that he was a Senju still shocked him a little but what was Conan supposed to do about it. He couldn’t change who he was so it didn’t really bother him. It was just a shock. “ ok Anzu-sensei I’m ready when you are.” Conan said as he felt himself get excited. “ so what herb am I going to learn about first Anzu-sensei?” just saying the words learn and herbs together in the same sentence made Conan laugh a little as he got himself ready to receive any information. Then Anzu started talking and Conan listened with the curiosity of a cat. Quickly jolting down what Anzu said Conan then hopped along beside Anzu.
