Birth control pills are very tiny. Smaller than the size of your pinky finger.

I have this obsessive compulsive thing where every time I'm alone with a mirror in the vicinity I squeeze out like each and every one of my pores. So I don't get zits almost at all. I kill them before they get big enough to notice. o3o I know I have issues, but it works. xD; -------------------------------------------- (I do that too >>) ------------------------------------------- You two aren't alone either XD
I use Cetaphill pads,You just swipe em over your face and the dirt gets cleaned outta you pores,It might dry out your skin a bit but it helps clean up trouble spots by dying em up,I also use cleracil cream.

Aren't you thirteen? o_O I think you might be a bit too young to be using those, yet. They're not recommended for anyone who is still in the main growing stages [ie: under 16 or so].

Spuntino is right. It may screw with your body, since your still developing. I'd stay away from birth control and stick to various scrubs and washes. I've never even heard of birth control being used to control acne.

I've never even heard of birth control being used to control acne. I have, but that's for adult acne; it's not meant to be used that way in teenagers who are still developing and still going through puberty. Messing with hormone therapies when your own hormone production capabilities haven't fully developed is just asking for trouble.

I started doing birth control a few days ago on doctor reccomendation. He put me on CyEstra-35 (sorta like Diane-35 but sorta different), who's main use is acne. Is it normal to react differently to the pills? On Monday, after I took it, about an hour later I got overly hyper and on Tuesday I got depressed and today I got exhausted. Is this normal? Well, at least it's clearing up my face better than any commercial products ever have...
If you want on birth control, and can handle weight gain and breast enlargement as what seems to happen with quite a few, I say go ahead. Just make sure you eat right, if weight gain is a side effect of what you're taking. Remember, you can always diet and excersize to keep it off, so don't panic if you start gaining. :3

Jackie Hagasowa Im not too sure,my mom wants me on em. Talk to a doctor first. Seriously. Messing with birth control pills when you're as young as you are probably will do more harm than good. The whole point of them is to regulate your hormones, yes, but when your hormones haven't fully settled because you're still going through puberty, that can be dangerous.
They don't put a slew of warnings on those suckers just for kicks. Birth control pills can have a lot of nasty side-effects if you use them at the wrong time or with the wrong combination of other things.
Also, you have to go through the discomfort of pelvic exams and the like in order to get the prescription. I can't imagine having done that sort of thing at thirteen and still growing. I had enough discomfort doing it at eighteen and fully grown. o_O;

This may sound kind of weird, but using honey, as in plain honey that you buy at the grocery store works great! If your ance gets all... scab-y like, then you take a decent sized dab of honey and put it on there, put a band aid on it and sleep with it.
The ancient Egyptians used to use honey for wounds and such a long time ago. I've found that mine heals within a few days, if not overnight.
Regular face washing is also very important though. And when you wash your face, try wetting your face with warm water and washing and rinsing like usual with warm water, but then splashing your face with cold water to close up your pores again.

This trick and the logic behind it were already mentioned, actually. (:
Tooth paste works because it contains peroxide. The little tubes of cream by Neutrogena you can get actually work much faster/better than toothpaste.

AerisYunaTifaRikku I'm really glad this was brought up. I have a question, though. Am I too young for birth control pills? I'm 15... It really depends on your personal cycles. Most girls' bodies aren't ready for birth control pills until they're at least sixteen or eighteen or so, since they haven't finished growing and the hormones in their bodies are still settling.
The only way you can really know for sure is to talk to a doctor about it.
Birth control pills are really only good for treating adult acne since it's usually caused by a combination of hormones, genetics, and environment. Taking control of one of those factors helps immensely. In teenagers, it's actually more likely to cause acne than help it, due to the fact that right before, during and right after puberty, hormone levels still fluctuate quite a bit from month to month. It's why periods aren't regular until you've finished growing.
In an adult, the hormones in the pills help regulate things and even out the ones that aren't being produced steadily. In a teenager, it can just make the problem worse and confuse your body as to where the normal hormone levels ought to be.
