Lilane remained silent though the flames around her began to increase in size, slowly making it seem, no longer as if they were apart of her, but as if she had a large aura of flame that encircled her and grew, though it seemed to retain the odd bird-like qualities it had before. Lilane herself retained a casual stance once more, though her hands were still clenched into lightly formed fists at her side. Then, at length she spoke, "Actually....Draega told me nothing about Kain's fighting style. The last e-mail she sent only told me that you were strong. And from what I'm guessing you must be something if Panderas wants you as badly as he does."
She then took a look at the sky before looking back at Kain's clone and smirking slyly. " Offensive...obviously." she stated simply before suddenly her aura erupted in a burst of flame, fully showing a form of a large bird, made entirely of flame. The aura, however, seemed to be alive as it let out a long lyrical cry and watched Kain's clone with flaming eyes of it's own. Then, in a flash, Lilane was gone. She launched at Kain from below with a powerful uppercut, her full force behind it. She didn't know, nor did she care whether or not her punch would make it through the armor. She no longer cared about that sort of thing at all.
Lilane felt full of something primal. She felt as if her very soul was aflame, burning with the desire to fight, to die, to heal, to fly. Her body yearned to move to it's fullest ability, yearned to leap and kick and break with all the power she had. A feeling she had never possessed before, always holding back to make sure she did not kill her opponents or cause any truly horrible lasting damage. But this was different. This man could take all her power, she didn't know if this man was her equal, or her better, and the not-knowing was what truly drove Lilane insane. She needed to know whether she could handle what he threw back at her, or if it would all end in one single blow.

The aura wasn't anything he didn't expect, though it was beautiful. When she took to the air, he'd arch a raven brown underneath his helm. When she'd disappeared, he was finally in a small bit of awe. He'd guessed it was something along the lines of a high-speed aerial attack, thus he wasn't quite prepared for the blow he'd be struck from beneath.
She'd manage to force his helmet form his head given it's lack of mandible protection, as well as cause him to stumble back a bit. He'd remain in struck position for a moment with his back bent slightly and head tilted all th way back, nearly to the point of snapping his neck. Finally, the dark clouds he'd seemed to have summoned would bring rain. His body would snap back forward, slouching a bit before he'd just begin to laugh.
"I hate fire, I really do!" He'd stand straight again and look back to his helmet, then to her and arch a brow. "Is that all you can do!? KNOCK MY HELMET OFF!?" With a bit of a roar he'd plunge his sword in to the ground, and with that he'd summon somewhat of a tornado about himself, though along with the vortex of air were torrents of water, turning in to a fierce spinning cylinder of a water all about him. He'd take to the air as this vortex formed, using his flight to keep him suspended well off the ground, waiting for either an aerial or ground attack knowing that she was far too smart to try and rush through the raging torrent without expecting damage, especially given that bolts of electricity could be seen running up and down the vortex from time to time.
"Is this your plan; you wish to hit Pandares just hard enough for him to still be able and pull the switch for your brother's life!? You want to allow him to form a cheap trick to use against you!?"

Lilane was far past fearing for her life, long past feeling the rain, as it only seemed to evaporate the second it hit her flaming aura. However, she had to admit that the swirling vortex of water, electricity and wind was an impressive feat. She stood before it for a moment, simply staring, once again reclaiming her earlier position, hands at her side as she analyzed her options. Her eyes went first to the sky, and although she liked the option she didn't know if she could make the full jump over into the cyclone. Then, she knew, she would have to fight the currents of air before making her way down to face Kain.
Her eyes moved to the bottom of the watery vortex. If she attacked from below she knew she had a very little chance of surviving a killing blow. She knew that Kain would not kill her, after all Draega had sent him here to protect her. But she knew it would cost her points in his view and it would not lead to her victory. So instead she turned her eyes to the center. To the wall of water, wind, and lighting. And slowly her smile grew. If she took that path, she would be hit by the full force of the wind and water and lighting....it might even be enough damage to penetrate her aura and deal serious damage to her body. Only an idiot would take such a course.
Lilane plunged through it, not caring how the water poured through her flaming barrier to soak her, not caring how the wind tried to toss her off course, and not even caring at the searing pain that swept through her as a lighting bolt stroke home. She ignored all of it, and came bursting through the wall. She did not waste time. The second she plunged through she launched a kick straight toward Kain's chest, her flaming aura bursting back into life, seemingly fueled, not bated, by the wounds she had taken.
Where there were once wounds her flesh healed, quicker than it ever had before, and now ashes swirled as she moved, falling away from her injuries as if they had never been, and the smile upon her face remained. "Actually...I was just going sear his feet to the ground. But hitting him does sound more rewarding." she mused. Her feet bursting into flame, that singed all that touched it, like the claws of a flaming phoenix.

He wasn't sure if she was trying to show her bravery and chivalrous nature, or if her aura had burned away a bit of her I.Q.. Either way, there wasn't much room in the vortex and he hadn't expected her to make this move, though he was still prepared, knowing to expect the unexpected from her given her earlier attack.
Her kick would again meet with his armor, though this time he'd actually feel pressure upon his chest. Nothing painful, but hell, if an army couldn't even do that much, it must be an impressive feet. Still... "I'll commend your bravery, but I will also express my concern in your judgment! To not fear an enemy's attack is to show no sign of fear of them or even Death..." He'd then raise his sword, which may look a little funny given the blade had been evaporating, leaving him holding a massive hilt before her. "But to rush in to the enemy's territory and in to their trap is idiocy at it's greatest!"
He hadn't planned on using this attack, and honestly didn't want to. First up, the vortex itself would widen, creating a rather thick current now. Another attempt in or out would be like trying to make it through an actual six foot deep swimming pool of rapidly spinning, electrified water. But, that was more or less a defense set up, not the attack. The attack would soon be seen...so long as you'd look up or down. From the ground would come a barrage of blades, each one with a small vortex of electrified water about it (via him striking the orb with his sword earlier). The flurry was more or less endless, coming to a halt only when he was incapacitated somehow. From the sky: The same damn thing. The barrage of sword from the ground and sky left no room in the eye of the vortex's space, meaning anything in the center would indeed be skewered. Of course, this meant dopple-Kain as well, but one that knows Kain or even knows great tacticians would know he'd never cause himself so much damage if he couldn't do something about it. []†[] You're doing better than I thought you would; I've had to use one of my favorite attacks (water vortex) and even a cheap kamikaze tactic. Kudos! []†[]

Lilane couldn't believe her eyes at first but when the first blade struck home, straight through her leg, she did believe it and she glared up at Kain in fury. Her aura seemed to explode at her pain, and Lilane tore the sword from her leg violently, the wound healing nearly instantly. Now she found she couldn't think at all, there was nothing left of her but primal instincts and her instincts told her to run. She launched herself at Kain once more, seeming to ignore the pain as blades sliced every inch of her, though she attempted to dodge most of them. At last she reached Kain, her wounds already healing, a trail of ash flying behind her. She reached for his breast-plate and grabbed hold of it.
Then she smirked and her aura suddenly vanished, leaving her more vulnerable than every before as she merely leaned in to Kain as if to kiss him and whispered to him with a secretive and knowing smile. "Now what would Draega say...if you not only allowed me to die....but killed me yourself?" she asked him quietly, her eyes shooting upwards to a blade that was headed straight for her head. Then they shot back to her opponent as she smirked, and launched herself upward, clinging to Kain's armor to hover over him in a gymnast's position, making her body as thin as possible to minimize the damage that would be down with it. Her aura burst back into life healing her wounds, though more slowly. She lifted one hand from Kain's armor and merely supported herself, upside down, with one hand gripping the shoulder of his armor, a grip hard enough to bend steel, though she knew it would have little damage on his armor it was enough to keep her up, and her body thin enough for the damage to be minimal, as well as giving her a moment to smirk down at her opponent. "I doubt Panderas would pull a suicide stunt like this. That p***k likes himself a little too much."
{ Thank you! I like to think of Draega as my ultimate pacifist genius and Lilane as my ultimate fighting one. That and I'm just having fun ^^.}

Well, this was an interesting way to make him discard his armor. With her clinging to him, she'd be able to get away from a damn good portion of the blades, which he simply couldn't have. Thus, the armor would literally burst from him and evaporate as the blade of the sword had. He was now left in a black poet shirt, black slacks and a black leather belt. She could also get a clear view of what the younger Kain looked like; his hair fell down to his waist in a beautiful raven braid and his eyes seemed to glow with the spirit one only finds in youth. His fangs, revealed when he'd smirk at her, were also quite a bit bigger.
It wasn't like he wasn't getting hit, either. In fact, he'd never moved, allowing the blades to slice and impale. Like her, though, his regeneration was superb. He'd remove various blades form himself and even throw them back at her at times, but once she was in his face he'd knock that off. She had a point; killing her would kind of ruin...well, a lot.
"Cheap mind games from a warrior run our of tactics...I am indeed impressed; I'm glad to see you'll do what you need to in order to survive!" He'd chuckle a bit, though she could soon see why he'd removed the armor: The blades were replicas of those he carried, thus six feet in length. Thus when they impaled him, and without protection of the armor, they'd easily go in one end and penetrate the other. Clinging to him would be just as dangerous given he'd now begin to move, though he'd move in to the way of the blades. He'd be cut, sliced, diced, impaled, skewered, severed...and it'd hurt. But, he'd prepared for this when he'd done the attack.
"We've gone past the point of whether or not you're ready for Pandares, M'lady. Now I simply wish to see how far you will go to live; I want to see how well you can defend yourself. I want to keep up this match; I never want this fight to end! Though I am a clone, I do have a semi-separate conscious...and this piece of conscious has never had such an amazing battle that he may not win! The thought of loss...it has become intoxicating, Lady Lilane." Given this piece of Kain was based off of a certain time period, it's experiences were also limited to these periods. They were his best periods, when he was at war all the damn time...though he never got to have a true match. He was only able to enjoy the slaughtering, never the duels. It was no doubt the adrenaline building in this clone was also being transfered to Kain, though, fueling some nature in him...oh look, a sword removed his right arm! Neat. []†[] You need to DL the free AOL (even though it's poison for a computer X.X ) and teach the pathetic RPers there a thing or two. It'd make life so much better if they could see a REAL match. Kris would agree with me. []†[]

Lilane let out a hiss as the armor melted away beneath her hand. With a single push she shoved herself off of him, spinning her legs as she did to deflect the blades above before landing. She was barely able to keep up with Kain's words as she dodged the blades and hell if she didn't care about what he was rambling on about anymore. Her body burned and her bird-like aura screamed out in a primal fury that could only be matched by Lilane's desperate attempts to stave off the blades by both dodging them and blocking them, though she still received as much damage as she managed to avoid. Still her mind whirled. She had no idea how much more of this she could keep up. Then at last she developed an idea.
She paused her movements and despite the fact that she was receiving a great deal of deep gashes which nearly shredded her clothing to bits Lilane continued to focus, her body bent, one fist held up before her. Her flaming aura began to grow brighter before it suddenly burst up even higher before and let out a scream of something more primal than any emotion any human could even hope to describe. The aura flared yellow for a second before it turned bright blue and white hot. At it's center, the focus of the heat, Lilane's body glowed, however it seemed clear, as if you could see right through her.
Then, with a loud battle cry, Lilane thrust her fist into the earth as hard as she could. Her aura flashed once before it seemed to explode, spreading outward like a wave of flame. It burned away everything in it's wake, including the blades and the watery wall that made up their combat-ring. And, Lilane hoped, that final ditch effort would be enough to end the battle for the second the blast subsided the red-haired girl's eyes rolled up into the back of her head and she fell forward, having used up every last ounce of her strength.

If there was anything he hated more than freakin' heat, it was steam. His beloved element evaporating in to steaming hot molecules...now that was infuriating. Still, given what she'd managed to pull off, it wasn't too surprising his vortex had been brought to an end...this was why he usually summoned three, but whatever!
No matter what the fate of the vortex, his own was in the balance. He'd fall not far from her, but up more than a victim of Charles Manson. Random chunks of flesh were missing that his body couldn't keep up with regenerating, and his right arm was missing, along with a foot. Hard to tell which given both bottoms of his shins looked...gooey. Of course there were blades impaling him every which way, and as if his own attack had a mind of it's own and a mind for drama at that, a final blade would fall through his skull, not simply impaling it but removing it from his neck and forcing it to roll over to Lilane. As for what should have been burns all over him? He hated fire enough to force his body, not his armor, to develop a resistance. She'd cooked his insides pretty well, though! Haggis, anyone?
He was, at least this clone was indeed a vampire. He'd been stabbed through the heart far more than once with a blade still stuck in it, and his head had obviously been removed. So this would be the end of him, right? Good question. Once Lilane would come back to the world of the conscious, she'd find out. But, thanks to her damned efforts, the normal rain that had been falling had grown much denser, falling quite a bit more rapidly. She'd won...sorta.

It took Lilane a long time to awaken. When she did she awoke to sight she had hoped never to see in her young life. A decapitated head. She let out a frightened gasp and tried to scramble away but found that she was more weak than she would have liked. As long as it had taken her to wake up it felt like it took her even longer to pull herself up and actually manage to stand. With a hiss of pain Lilane clutched at her left arm, which had received the most damage before her final assault. Once she was able to stand Lilane looked first to Kain's seemingly lifeless body and then to the head which had laid beside her.
Lilane had to take a deep breath in order to keep herself from collapsing. She had never meant to kill him, she had expected him to survive. She had never meant to cause this much damage. As she surveyed the wreckage around her Lilane couldn't help but feel a crushing weight descend upon her. And as she watched the dead and prone body of the clone that had been sent to protect her, Lilane felt herself crumble. She gently picked up Kain's head and walked over to his body. She wouldn't cry, she promised herself. However it was clear that Lilane was suffering at the thought of having taken the life of someone else.

It'd take him a while to wake up as well, though once he would it'd be far more comedic, at least for him. He'd have no idea why the hell his head was in her arms, but whatever. Still, he only wondered what'd he receive as a reaction as the head moved in her arms to look at her, it's eyes flaring back to life and a grin forming on it's face.
His body would seem to quickly decompose even though it was doing the exact opposite. It'd soon become nothing more than a large pool of blood, and his head would melt out of her arms in the same fashion his body had rotted away in to blood. It'd be a rather large mess for a moment, then seem to dart off. His blood was all over the place from the damned battle, but each cell that hadn't been destroyed would form in to a rather cliche grouping of bats that would dive right in to the larger mass of blood. From this mass he'd begin to form rather quickly, proving how strong his regenerative powers truly were, and beyond that, how he'd overcome his race's weaknesses.
After only a few moments he'd be stand before her once again, though he was naked. He'd take quick note of this and use a bit of power in the same way Singe had to form clothes in the fashion of materialized dark energy. He'd even form another freakin' hair tie, hating the idea of his long raven locks being free. He'd look himself over, making sure the poet shirt, pants and boots were all there, then feel his hair to make sure it was braided and tied off. He'd nod with approval before his scarlet hues would quickly shoot to Lilane with a smirk on his lips.
"I no longer have any doubts regarding how ready you are." He'd offer her a warm smile before looking to the sky, watching as the rain still feel heavy upon them, though this rain wasn't his fault...completely. He'd look to the wet ground, seeing electrified pools of water. It was kid of cool, and definitely a new site. "Please clean yourself up, Lady Lilane...I doubt you wish to see your brother as the mess you are."

Lilane's eyes rose wide in astonishment and then embarrassment as Kain literally seemed to rise from the grave. With a short nervous sort of squeek Lilane nodded and then scrambled for the house, averting her eyes for the whole of the time. Although Lilane was very mature for her age in many things, the sight of a male body ...nude...was not one of them. Once inside Draega's flat Lilane allowed her beating heart to slow before she shook her head and quickly went in search of clothing.
Not fifteen minutes later Lilane was changed, wearing a long green shirt with split sleeves, the shorter sleeves ending just below her shoulders and the longer sleeves starting around three-inches below that and flowing out to flare not only around her wrists but all the way down to her thighs as well. The shirt's black ivy-like followed the line of the shirt as it cross over the left of Lilane's chest, across her heart. The shirt itself cut-off just above the teenager's belly-button, and exposed not only that, but the low hem of the brown pants she had chosen, which, although they hung off her hips loosely, seemed to fit her in an odd sort of way. Beneath the brown pants she was clearly wearing a pair of black boxers which she seemed completely unashamed about, mostly because she preferred wearing them to girl's underwear. Beneath the pants the toes of a pair of black combat-style boots was just barely visible.
Like always Lilane continued to sport her black biker gloves and white headband, though now, around her neck, was the only piece of clothing that wasn't something she had left at Draega's for an emergency. It was a black choker that Draega had promised to give to her on a special occasion. The occasion had never come. So Lilane wore it now. From the choker swung the ankh which accentuated the round neck-line of the shirt which exposed only the girl's collar bone and nothing else. She emerged from Draega's flat carrying clothes for Kain and the bag of surveilance equipment she had set aside earlier, before the battle began.
Seeming composed, but still blushing furiously and averting her gaze. Lilane handed Kain the clothing and then quickly turned away and shoved her hands into her pockets. "Draega used to keep some of my things here just in case I ever needed a safe place to stay. Like-wise she kept clothes for men...although...I suppose she kept those for other reasons as well." Lilane explained bluntly, not wishing to really speak but feeling that the explanation was somewhat necessary given the situation.

HA! That was always fun. It was a trick he'd used time and time again to amuse friend and frighten the enemy, and in the end he always felt better, almost rejuvenated. But, the drawback was indeed the brief nudity, which he'd so humbly forgotten about, thus he had no idea what the poor girl's problem was. To him, she was just having a spazz attack over his 'revival,' which made him the happiest damned clone on the freakin' planet. Though, once he'd notice the draft and draw his attention upon himself, his ego would shatter, forcing him to release a deep sigh. He had nothing to be embarrassed about physically, thus he really didn't care that he was nude, but rather that he hadn't freaked her out as much as he wanted to.
Once she'd run off for that little bit to change, he'd finally cover himself, via the usual means of dark magic. This time it'd form around him like an erupting aura before solidifying in to several belts that would tightly wrap about his body, covering every inch of his fit form. The only visible items not covered by black leather or silver clips were his hands, his feet and his head from about mid-neck up. From that point, he'd summon the dark armor back on to himself, thus covering him more appropriately. This time though, he'd decide to instead use a latch on the waist of his armor to hold his helmet.
By the time she'd reappear, he'd nearly be done braiding his long raven locks again. He'd look to her and quickly analyze not only her energy signatures and everything else you'd expect from a glorified fighter, but also her appearance. She didn't look half bad, though he knew damn well what a ***** was, and the age gap between them would be so horrendously large he'd feel it absolutely unforgivable to compliment on her beauty. But, he had his ways of making a subtle point.
"I've my own clothes, but I do thank you very much for keeping me in mind. I'm also glad to see you know how to outfit yourself both casually and tactically; not many could pull such a thing off." He'd solidify a bit more dark energy in to a tie for his hair, wrap it properly and finally finish. He'd make sure he had everything about him, then look to her bag of toys. "Well then, it's obvious you have our next move in mind, and at this point I have no question as to your abilities, and I ask your forgiveness for being so brash and rude. A Knight should never demand anything of his Queen...but, I wished to make sure you were worthy of such a title. So, it is time for my Queen to lead her Knight, and for the Knight to do the job he was produced to do."

Lilane turned her eyes back at last, obviously returned to her normal calm nature. She raised an eyebrow at the sight of a dressed Kain as she knew she hadn't had any clothing on him before...yet clearly here he stood completely dressed. Without a single motion Lilane merely tucked the clothes into the bag as well. "...might as well bring them too...never know after all..." she muttered. She didn't really mean anything about Kain's earlier lack of clothing or that she was worried the nudity might happen again in the future but mostly because she was now more worried that there would be a different male all entirely that might need a new set of clothes.
Lilane caught the subtle compliment and merely smiled slightly, in an easy and laid-back sort of way. However, as soon as Kain referred to her being a Queen and he her knight her smile died. She let out a soft sigh and shifted the bag upon her shoulder. "I don't like such titles. I don't like to think of anyone as above or below simply because of gender...besides. If anything...you're talking to a fellow knight." at that Lilane let out a short, small, and bemused chuckle before she began to head once more down the street and toward the ruins of Panderas' old lab. With a look over her shoulder, her laid-back smile back in place Lilane rose an eyebrow at Kain and rolled her eyes.
"Oh yeah...and by the way. I'm eighteen. Legally...not jail-bait." With a short sort of 'hmph', more out of amusement than anything else.

He was pretty sure he knew a different individual that could no doubt use some fresh clothing, given that individual wasn't food for the ravens by now. His dark nature forced him to chuckle at the thought, though he'd quickly shake it off and make sure to keep right behind her...never hard to tell if he was following or not, given the loud clanks of his greaves against, well, anything. Stealth bored the hell out of him, or rather this version of him.
"Whether you like it or not, you are the Queen to me. You are the Lady Lilane that the true Kain forced me in to existence to protect, as her Knight. I find it amusing you have quarrels with the title when, in the time I can remember best, a woman would fall to her knees in flattery of such a compliment." Then again, in those same times, a duck could by accused of being a witch, and worse yet be put on trial. The idiocy of humanity really did make him sick.
"As for your age...I had assumed you younger, and you have my apologies for the misconception. At the same time, one should always be weary of what they say and to whom they say it; a Knight should never speak out of line before a Queen. A man who's age can be counted in millenniums should also avoid appealing comments towards a woman who's not reached her second decade in this world..."

Draega let out a short sort of 'mm', both blunt and absent-minded as she reached into the backpack to leaf through it for the device she was looking for. After a moment of searching, and walking at the same time, she at last seemed to find what she was looking for. She didn't use it however, instead, she merely tucked it away into her back pocket. Whatever the device was it was long and resembled a high-tech magnifying glass with a black screen in place of the glass that normally would have been there to refract the light.
Lilane shrugged at his comment about her age. "Doesn't matter to me....age that is. My mom and dad were fourteen years apart when they got married. And my half-sister is thirty this year. Doesn't mean we're not as close as any other family. " For a couple more blocks she was silent, as if mulling over her own thoughts, as obviously she didn't need to focus on where she was headed. Then at last she spoke again and her tone hinted at a wisdom that might have been beyond her years. "Draega used to tell me that I didn't see the world as other people did....she said I saw it through the eyes of a god. That all I saw when I looked at a group of people was a just that...a group of people. I didn't see men and women, didn't see black and white, didn't even see U.H. and Human. "
She was silent for a moment longer her dark eyes reflecting the deep place her mind had gone to. "I don't know about the god part....but...that's just the way I see it. Not as one person different from another but...just...people. I understand their differences and respect them...but...everyone is equal in my eyes. I suppose Draega would have made such a thing sound more poetic though. " She looked at Kain over her shoulder and her gaze questioned him with a frightful sort of intensity.
"Take you and me for example...I suppose people call you a 'demon' right? And I'm a U.H." She raised a hand and rubbed the back of her head, as if trying to settle something there. "But when I look at you I just see a strong ally and a powerful rival." Her eyes lowered and turned almost completely content in a way that rivaled the chiseled faces of the Budha that could still be seen in thrift shops. "And when I look in the mirror...I just see someone struggling to live in a dangerous world. Not a girl...or young woman. Just...a life. A heart. That's what I see when I look at people..."
