Laharl's laughter and growing smile confused the canine. She wasn't quite sure what he was finding so amusing. Was it her? Was it what she was saying? Was there something on her face? "Are you... laughing at me?" She asked quietly, though not accusingly. No, she didn't want to accuse him of laughing at her. That would be foolish, since she didn't know what he was laughing at. Perhaps he was just entertained by how much she knew? Boys... they were confusing. Her life was so much easier when boys still had cooties.

(ROFL)
Laharl looked At Keaira with a crooked smile. "Do you think I'm laughing at you?" He throw the Question right back at the girl. Girl's could be so simple minded, He could probably guess what was going on in her head. The Thought brought another crooked smile to his lips.

"I don't know... that's kind of why I asked..." Keaira's ears drooped, and she sat there quietly. Now she was feeling self-conscious and stupid for opening up so much. It wasn't as if he laughed for no reason at all. When someone laughed, they usually found something mildly amusing or entertaining. The caning pulled her legs up to her chest and wrapped her arms around them, glancing away from Laharl.

"A lot of people laugh at me... they think my thoughts and ideas are stupid and meaningless." Keaira said quietly, ears still drooping. She refused to look at Laharl, simply glancing away from him. At his next question, the canine shrugged her shoulders lightly. "I'm used to being laughed at, so I guess I just would have accepted it. I just wouldn't talk about my feelings or my thoughts anymore. There's no point in talking about things you truly care about if people are just going to laugh in your face about it." She finally glanced back towards the feline, but quickly looked away once more. Just because he wasn't laughing at her didn't make her feel any less self-conscious or stupid. She just had low self-confidence when it came down to sharing her thoughts and feelings openly with anyone other than her sister. Angelina never laughed at her.

Laharl thought for a moment. "why would people laugh at you for? and I see many things that are good points. I rather look at so ones good points, not someones weak spots and just poke them and watch them fall. Now thats not very fun is it?" Laharl shrugged and looked at Keaira. She had looked at him the away. "I think it's not very fun at all way to easy. I love to pick on my older brother it's because it's fun to watch his reactions" He chuckled and smiled a toothy smile. "He gets so upset. It's funny"

"No, it's not... but there are some people that do think that it's fun..." Keaira glanced towards him once more with a small sigh, listening to the way his voice sounded and the words he spoke. She stayed silent for a few moments longer, not sure what to say. She certainly didn't think getting her sister upset was fun, but that's because Angelina was not a very happy camper when she was upset. She'd tear you up one side and down the other. Then again, Keaira didn't like to upset anyone. She liked to make others smile, not frown. "I'd rather fix a frown than be the one to cause it. Unless it's some pervert, like Yohji. I don't mind making him frown. He deserves it." The canine growled quietly at the mention of that male, flopping backwards to sprawl out and lay on the ground. "I'm sorry for jumping to conclusions about you laughing, Laharl. I tend to do that when I get self-conscious."

Laharl looked over and smiled."it's okay. but my brother desevered it. When we were just little kids he stabbed me in the foot with siccors." He smiled like there was nothing wrong with it. He chuckled, "Of course i pulled many painful things on him when we were kids but of course, 'daddy' always stopped them." he said, he was speaking calmly and cheerfully like nothing was wrong with it at all.

Keaira just nodded quietly, not really knowing what to say. Of course for Laharl there was nothing wrong with it. That's how he grew up, pulling pranks on his brother and having pranks pulled on him. For Keaira, that was a no-no. They were brought up differently, they had different views and opinions on things. She wasn't just going to tell him 'Oh, you're wrong because that's not how I was raised.' That would just be rude. Everyone was brought up differently, everyone had different opinions, views, and personalities. There was nothing wrong with the way Laharl thought about things, just as there was nothing wrong with the way she thought about things. "I never had a brother, I don't think. Me and my sister were taken away from our parents when we were very young, so I can't remember anyone but Angelina."

"I... don't want to laugh at you or your family." Keaira blinked and tilted her head. She didn't like to laugh at anyone, unless they were actually being funny and goofing around. Then she would laugh and not feel bad. But otherwise, no. She didn't laugh at anyone, she worried she would hurt their feelings if she did. "Laharl... is having a family... overrated? Like, having more than one sibling to bond with, and having parents to take care of you when you're young...? I always felt like I was missing out on something big, not having parents to take care of me and only having Angelina..."

Keaira nodded her head lightly and sighed quietly. "Then... maybe you and I have more in common then I first thought." The canine smiled faintly. Not that having things in common with Laharl was bad. So far, she liked him. He was confusing, and easy to misunderstand, but he seemed like an okay guy.

"Well, if we are, at least we've got each other to be crazy with, right?" Keaira giggled and shook her head at the thought. "Oh, Angelina? Well, she prefers to be called Angel or Lina. She's a really good sister, actually. She cuddles me when I'm sad, and plays games with me sometimes." The canine smiled brightly and hummed to herself while trying to think of more specific things. "She's really laid back and easy going, but once you do something to press her buttons, she's... got a way of making you feel horrible over it. I guess some would say she "nags" you guilty."
