anna bandana Random-Gal930 I'm reading Prince Caspian for my HRR in school. What's HRR? Home Reading Report. It's something we do every Quarter before the exams. My last book was this boring thing called, "Island of the Blue Dolphins". Easy to say, I didn't like it.

Did you like Prince Caspian? Its alot different than the movie.

At our school, you get to choose your own HRR, but there's a list you have to follow. I'm pissed off that books I really like (that SHOULD be there) aren't on the list. But anyway, yeah, I have noticed the many, many changes between the movie and the book. There are some parts where I lean more on the movie, others where I more favor the book.

The raid scene in the movie was great and Caspian isnt a young child like in the books.

Well, in the books I found some passages/sections where it says that Caspian isn't a boy, so...I imagine Ben Barnes when I read. xd

When I was little I watched the BBC version (I'm going to make a thread about it because not a lot of people have watched that version) of The LW&W and Prince Caspian and the Dawn Treader. Then they came out with the first Narnia movie in 2005 but I had already planned books that I was going to read first so I finally started reading the series about a month ago and I just finished the seventh book, The Last Battle. I really think that you should read the books if you haven't because they explain a lot of things the movies don't, and can't.

I got into Narnia after seeing the movies and read the books after. Which is why I'm not critical over the films like other devout C. S Lewis extremists.
The Last Battle gonk Makes me cry.

I understand it... it just doesn't seem like a Lewis style ending.

And the wholde dying of the beloved characters irked me too.
