Random-Gal930 anna bandana Random-Gal930 I'm reading Prince Caspian for my HRR in school. What's HRR? I had to read Things Fall Apart and Crime and Punishment for summer reading. It was torture. Did you like Prince Caspian? Its alot different than the movie.

Usually book lists for school are restrictive and given the option I would pick another novel. The raid scene in the movie was great and Caspian isnt a young child like in the books.

When I was little I watched the BBC version (I'm going to make a thread about it because not a lot of people have watched that version) of The LW&W and Prince Caspian and the Dawn Treader. Then they came out with the first Narnia movie in 2005 but I had already planned books that I was going to read first so I finally started reading the series about a month ago and I just finished the seventh book, The Last Battle. I really think that you should read the books if you haven't because they explain a lot of things the movies don't, and can't.

Which is why I'm not critical over the films like other devout C. S Lewis extremists.
The Last Battle gonk
Makes me cry.

I understand it... it just doesn't seem like a Lewis style ending.

And the wholde dying of the beloved characters irked me too.
