WHAT? Well...He sighed softly. "I am afried, little one, that Rishi was incorrect in what he told you. Just cause i prefer flutters...saying only because he is a flutter...I am not that closed minded. Esspecially after talking to him. But yes, little one, i have a "Crush" on Rishi." He shook his head, the filly's words cutting into him. "But its not just cause he is the first flutter stallion i have seen." He snorted lightly. "I lived with plenty, and i have come to find that I shall be alone the rest of my life. I do still prefer flutters, i have grown up around them and i have yet to meet many others of other breeds i like. For example, however, I think your nice. I would love to be your friend." He shook his head. "Dear, you are to young now, to new to the world, go give up so easily. You'll find somone who loves you, somone you love. Its always easier for mares, Always easier for those who love those of the opposite gender. Your mama is a lucky one." He said softly, sadly. "Vary lucky. and lucky to have you. I've already settled into the thought that i will never have children, though i do love children and wish i could have them, and i will never find one who loves me. I'm sure i might find mares who wish for me to love them...But...I cannot...I prefer stallions, no matter how much pain it will always cause me." He knew, even if he got over Rishi, which was possible, he supposed, he would only find more heart break. Again and again. Pain after pain. His ears folded against his head sadly.

Shaking her head softly, Ellina laughed softly. " You are a silly one Rifera.... You give up easier than I do. It may be true that you prefer stallions now. But love is love and that means true love can not be stopped. Your heart must be open to all choices or you may lose the truest love because you did not expect it to come in one form or another." Marching over to Rifera, Ellina forced her self up onto her back legs to reach up and press a kiss onto Rifera's cheek. " Give love a chance to bloom in what ever form it comes. Love is special you'll find it. You have problems but if you work on them they'll go away."

"Little one, you don't understand fully. Its hard to explain. Ever since i was little, i have always wished to be with another stallion. I never stubbornly stuck to it, i have never made myself continue on this path. It has just always been, no matter how beautiful or special the mare was, i cannot love them. My heart....only beats for stallions. I know it must be hard to understand, and it is hard to explain. I do not choose to be this way, i simply am. And i am fine with how i am. I am not worried about myself finding love. My only fear, my only flaw, is that no one will love me. There are not many stallions out there like me. Not many who love other stallions." He sighed softly. "And that is why i will be alone. And right now...I cannot even think of finding another love. Rejection is the worst kind of heart break. Even if its not his fault, even if it is just how he is. It still hurts." Just tear him to shreds why don't you? However he did not expect her to understand. It was not a choice. He just...loved stallions. Mares, sweet and kind as they were, only looked as friends to him. He felt an odd tinge that seemed farmillar. Somone trying to change him. Several mares in his old home had tried. How pathetic. He was about ready to run away and hid. Was it wrong of him to love stallions instead of mares? Was he a freak? Horrible? Why did this girl not understand? Admon, Rishi had mentioned him. Ellina had said he was in love with a stallion. So why did he get the feeling from her that he was wrong, unnatural. His ears pressed sadly against his skull, lowering his head. "...Ellina..." He said softly. He turned his head away.

" I'm sorry Rifera. I should make it sound like there was something wrong with you.. Thats not what I meant, my mama is like you and I don't mind that... Its just you might not willingly be stubborn but ya never know with a heart that beats only for stallions you mind might cause you hear to stop with out really thinking about it .... When love comes don't let your heart stop just cause its a mare." Wrinlkling her nose slightly, Ellina turned away heading back into the flowers. " I hope you find someone who will love you as you should be loved... No, I know you'll find some one I just hope she or he comes to you before you heart can be broken again...Goodbye Rifera."

Rifera blinked and looked at the retreating figure. Smooth, Rif, just smooth. Destroy a friendship. "Please don't go, Ellina. I enjoy talking to you. You...you talk like Rishi. You make me think about things, make me realize when i'm being stupid and stubborn. I need that right now. Really need that. I need to understand when i'm being stupid so i can change that. So i can make friends, forget about the past, and move on. I mean...I'll understand if you do not wish to be friends with me. But i would love it if you would be my friend. Mabye you are right. Mabye a mare will come that is once in a life time. I don't know. All i know is right now, i don't feel anything besides friendship for mares. I have always felt more strongly towards Stallions. I don't know why, But i do. I know that i wish you would stay, young though you are, i wish to be friends with you. And...I know i won't get Rishi's love, but i do wish i can still be friends with him, none the less. Perhaps one day i might meet your mama, and i'd love to be friends with him as well. I'm trying to put the past behind me...I really am...So won't you please stay?"

Pausing Ellina looked back at Rifera shaking her head lightly. " My mama has gone away for a while, but I guess I can stay and be friends with you. Your really not as bad as you think you are Rifera. Just like you need to give every one else a chance you need to give yourself a chance as well"

He nodded. "I'll remember that. Another thing to add to my list." He smiled. He really did like this little filly. She seemed much older then she was. SHe was going to be an amazing mare. Amazing...And he felt bad for her suddenly. She had spoken so...well as if all hope was lost for her to ever find love. He paused. Just as he had spoken. He smiled a bit more. "You must have spent much to long around Rishi, you really do talk just like him. You've given me alot to think about." He laughed softly.

Giggling Ellina tossed her mane playfully letting a few strands of curly hair fall over one her eyes as she smirked lightly. "He's not taking credit for this Rishi and I rarely take he's always off running around and such." Her eyes sliding close to half mast Ellina stared off into the distance once again. " No mama says I have an old soul that just understands things."

"Well i agree with your mama then. Careful though, you don't want to turn into an old lady when your still so small." He teased lightly, grinning slightly. And old soul indeed. What kind of mare would she be? "your going to send all the stallions for a loop when you get bigger. Beautiful and so smart." He nudged her cheek lightly.

" I know" Ellina let her smirk grow as she sauntered away from Rifera. "Come on I thought we were going to play a game of truth or dare tag. We'll start off with no one being it so its even it goes to who ever can get to the other first. " Darting away suddenly, Ellina laughed softly as she raced around Rifera pausing for a moment to grab his tail and tug on it before taking off again.

Rifera smiled. He blinked as she took off and tugged on his tail. "Hay, no fair." He smiled and raced after her. of course, his legs were much longer then hers. Then again, she was smaller. He tried to keep his speed down a bit though, not wanting to over power her and ruin the game for her.

Giggling Ellina spun around darting back towards Rifera. Arching herself so she made a large u from the front of Rifera to end up running at his side Ellina started to smirk once again. " Your lacking Stud boy" Running right at Rifera's side Ellina leaned foward at the last second half skidding half running underneath the larger stallion

"Oh we'll see about that." He said, smirking. He turned sharply, taking off after he once more, speeding up and letting his legs stretch out to a normal stride. He reached out, pulling on the end of her fluffy tail. He smirked, "gottcha!"

" Aww " Skidding to a halt Ellina looked up at Rifera. " Know you have to ask me truth or dare silly" Wrinkling her nose Ellina stared up at Rifera for a moment before letting her gaze dart around as she planned her next move.
