"Good!" She hadn't put too much force into that one... didn't want to kill the kid after all. Laughing as he threw another punch, her hands moved in a blur over her body, grabbing one ring and tossing it to him as the other two flared into life.
She now hovered a few inches off the ground and a set of shiny black chest-armor perfectly fitted to her form settled around her torso. "Now things get interesting!" Without explaining what was going on, Kallisto dodged with a musical laugh in an attempt to gain some space.

He felt a flush of pride at her praise -- he was getting it! Perhaps he'd get the hang of it enough to be able to spar Daggart or Cyphr. Then again, considering how muscled they were... it might be better to grasp more of the basics, just in case.
When Kallisto's hands moved, Abacus could only gape in surprise as she neatly dodged. "Oh, cool!" He exclaimed as he regained his footing. That armor, though... It didn't look punch-friendly. He caught the technoring and activated it, then puzzled over it. "Er... I'm afraid I don't know how to use this..."

She blinked and then smacked her forehead. "Oops! Sorry!" Deactivating her boots but not putting them away (so as not to burn them out), she walked over to Abacus and gestured at his now armored and clawed hands. "That, Abacus, if the metaclaw technoequip. It's extremely useful for punching... but not so great with things that require more dexterity. Try to move your fingers as though you're working with a quill... not so easy huh? But, form a flat shape or a fist with your hand and punch out." She demonstrated the motion, "Cuts the air. Hurts if you get tagged by it as well... but that's why I have this. And you seem rather fond of punching." She tapped her armor and winked.
"Make sense?" Backing away, she smiled, "You're doing well. A few more exchanges should do the trick."

Metaclaw - The Metaclaw is similar to the Gauntlet, but instead of merely being armoured to pretect the hand, it is equipped with sharp pointed plates of armour excellent for attacking. The Metaclaw does make it more difficult to hold small objects while it is activated, so if you were trying to cast magic from a charm or scroll you'd most likely fumble and fail if you simultaneously have Metaclaw activated.
+5 to Punch, -10 to to Grab, Throw, Elbow, Grapple and any other actions requiring dexterity ))

"Haha, it's all right!" Abacus replied, then focused his attention onto his ha- er, claws as she spoke. He tried to form the shape she asked, then moved on to flex each finger individually before trying other gestures.
When bidden, he turned from her to strike at the empty air, trying both fist and flat-palm variety of punches. He then tried a couple of cat-like swipes, with his fingers curled slightly. "Well, it seems a bit faster than kicking," he admitted with a grin turning back to her. "But I see! This'll make things interesting," he took a couple steps back to give her room, then paused. "Would you mind, after this that I took a picture of you in your armor and boots? After I return these claws to you, that is," he added with a grin, "I'm not sure if I could handle my camera and take a picture without half of it getting blocked out by a claw."
Once into position, he took a deep breath. "Ready? Here I come!" With that he dashed forward and threw a punch, trying out the new gloves.

She activated her boots and nodded, "I can activate my other armor if you want... and put the claws on to. They're all a matching set." Kallisto couldn't help the proud smile and sort of posed...
At least until Abacus rushed in to deliver a punch. She needed to work on her agility and this was a great opportunity to do so. With a grunt, she dodge away and swung about to deliver a kick that didn't quite make it.

Before he rushed in, Abacus looked at her in amazement. "It's part of a set? Now that I'd love to get a picture of! But... after, though. I'm a bit worried what your claws could potentially do to my camera on accident, since this is my first time wearing them."
With that, he went in for the punch... and hit empty air. Unprepared for her dodge, Abacus went on with his punch... and hit the floor, listening to the woosh of her foot overhead. He rolled to one side and bounced up, charging in for another punch.

"Yep~ I bought a couple pieces not too long after I ascended. Won some sols at a St. Patrick's party so I had a fair amount saved up. Have a sword too... but I don't know how to use it yet."
Darnit! He kept avoiding her kicks! With another dodge, the kinesthetic, weaved around his punch and round-housed him from the side. Kallisto was used to scoring hits with her favourite move and this slippery one was making that difficult... but it was fun. He'd obviously learned well.

"It's at home, unfortunately." She snapped her foot down and pivoted on that leg, sending other forward-snapping kick followed by two punches, "Let's see just how well you've learned, eh?" There was a competitive glint in her eye now, as her features settled into a determined grin.

"Ah, tha-" Abacus bit off his reply as the kicks and punches came coming. Ah, crud, what'd he just do to deserve this?! He quickly half-stepped, half-slid to one side to dodge the kick, and raised his arms to block the punches.
Luckily, he side-stepped into the right direction and allowed the kick to go by, but the first punch caught him. "Oof!" He grunted, recovering quickly to block the other punch.

She laughed as she missed yet again with her kick, humor sparkling alongside the fire in her eyes. Kallisto was in her element and having fun - it was great to fight an opponent that wasn't Grave and it helped take her mind off of other, less enjoyable thoughts.
When her punch connected, she pushed a bit in the hopes of throwing him a little off balance and spun around with a decisive motion, attacking with another kick that would end their lesson should it connect.

When Kallisto laughed, Abacus threw a grin at her. So this is what Sanguines do! It was entertaining, come to think about it -- but he didn't exactly have time, considering the incoming attack. Abacus did his best to duck, and providing that the leg misses him, he threw a punch at her.
Of course, if the leg hit him, the punch itself would be moot due to a certain phlegmatic sprawled on the ground, out of energy.

"Oou! Fiesty!" The sanguine grinned some more as he threw another punch and danced away, enjoying the feeling that academic fighters must experience on a regular basis. She was so used to simply absorbing or blocking an attack.
After dodging, she threw a punch in way, kiaiing to surprise the boy. She said she'd teach him a move, didn't she? What better way then to experience first hand?

"You bet!" He replied, lifting up his arms to blo- WHATWASTHAT?! Abacus yelped and jerked back, throwing himself to one side with the grace of a ballerina on tip-toes crossing a floor covered in frozen peas. It was the most ungraceful of dodges, but hey -- whatever worked, right?
"What'd I do?!" He yelled back, looking down belatedly to notice that he accidentally scratched himself on the metaclaws. "Oh, ow," he remarked before carefully wiping the claws off on his pants and replacing them into the technoring, then throwing it back up to Kallisto. "I think I'd better hold off on getting myself a similar pair," he joked.
