Eric gave a small cough to hide whatever he was saying and his expression, which resulted in a wary look from the Queen before she turned back to Elc.

"Ah, not too bad back in the Kingdom, actually. It's been pretty quiet overall, both politically and in the home. Well, naturally the past month has been a mess, which our prince trying to court the Fairy of Gold and all, but that's to be expected, I suppose." she shrugged.

"A vacation sounds nice, though; can't remember the last time we've gotten a break from work. But that's what happens when you run a Realm!"

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Evan could see that the girl looked sort of sad at these words; perhaps a bad topic? Was his nerves getting to him? It was hard to tell, and he didn't have Violet to help him out. Hiding up in the tree, if he guessed right.
"Well, I haven't been to the other places either; most of the palaces don't get along too well with each other, but this place is much like the haven where they all try to get along-"
But before he could finish the fire prince appeared. Evan sighed in his mind in irritation, but got up and bowed in respect and greeting none the less. "Good evening, Prince Cain." he responded.
As the fire boy appeared in a spectacular yet arrogant entrance, Violet said nothing, but went back to her plant research...ontop a plant, sort of hidden. After all, they were huuuge, and she was writing down stuff that applied to the five senses, so touch was one of them. Such a smooth silky plant. She could hear her brother greet the boy formally (and the girl cry out in shock; yep, definiately lost here!), but she turned off from people at the moment; memories had not served her well enough to go down. And it was nice and calming up here, unlike down there, now that there was competiton soon to be had.
((ok, we're good! biggrin ))
Cain couldn't quite stop himself from smiling at the reaction his entrance brought him, it was kind of funny to surprise people, but at the same time he knew he had to apologize again. "Once again, my apologizes. I didn't mean to fighten you... and please, just Cain," He said in his oddly soft but raspy voice, smiling slightly at Faye. He glanced over, finally offically noticing Evan, and he nodded his head and smiled slightly in a greeting. "My sister, Lasarina, hasn't stopped talking about your sister since we found out we were coming here." He said, but his voice was slightly confused; the only thing about Violet he could remember was that Lasarina picked on her when they were little.
The fire that was Lasarina had been continuing her graceful archs for awhile, but then the fire fairy hit the ground next to her brother, dispelling the fire from her form before bowing slightly. "Pleasure to meet you!" She chirped, grinning a toothy little grin. "I'm Lasarina." She chuckled slightly, then looked over at Evan and nodded her head as her brother had done, her grin never faltering.
This caught Evan's interest; strange, why would the Fire Princess want to see Violet again? Last time Violet met with all the girls, it had been a living hell for the at-the-time tiny girl. Hence why she attached herself to Evan himself over the years. But perhaps she had changed, or wanted to apologize and start anew? Or was it a trap? It was hard to tell.
As if on cue, another blast of fire showed the arrival of said lady, and Lasarina appeared. "Nice to meet you as well; glad to see that we're not hte only Kingdom that's arrived here. I get nervous in silence." he said with a chuckle; this was true, for even though Violet got nervous around people, it was opposite for Evan. He was more of a talker........when he wasn't under pressure, of course. And this could be good for Violet.
Violet watched quietly from her hidden tree as her name had been mentioned. Why would Lasarina want to see her? This was about Faye, right? But the fire princess was in the same boat as she; ladies stick together while the men went on wooing-duty. She had not payed attention to Evan's tatics, because that would only nerve-wrack him more. But now she watched silently from the tree, sort of scared yet somewhat hoping that it'll blow over ok.
Lasarina's grin faded to more of a normal looking, albiet lopsided, smile as she turned to her brother. "Don't do anything stupid, Cain?" She asked him in a fake cynical tone, trying to hide the fact she was actually worried about her big brother. The truth was was that she was jealous already, she didn't quite like the idea of having to share her only and best friend with someone she didn't know.
Once more she turned to Evan and nodded her head, then she gave the same treatment to Faye. "I'm off to find Violet, then. Hope to see you later." And then she flew up and off to search for said fairy.
Cain's face softened into a bit more of a smile at his sister's pretenses of being tough. "I won't." He promised her as she flew away, and then he turned his attention back to Faye and Evan, his face still holding a smile but his eyes showing he was frowning on the inside. "I should probably be on my way as well... after all, I did interupt your conversation..." He said thoughtfully, taking a couple of slow steps back. He was reluctant to leave at the same time he was glad; with more time he would be able to figure out to woe Faye, but if he left her alone with Evan he might loose his chance.
Veera smiled to herself as she watched the goings on outside the window. She was about to step out and greet the prince and princess of the Fire Realm, but Koreck stopped her.
"Will they be doing battle?" he asked, peering over her shoulder.
"No they will not!" the high priestess gave him a threatning glare, before looking down, "At least...I hope it never comes to that."
Koreck rolled his eyes, and Veera opened the door, and stepped lightly outside. She stood in the shade of one of the plants, not wanting to interupt, but wanting to make sure everything was going well. Koreck, on the other hand, flew up above, watching everything boredly. But he had nothing else to do with his day, so he sat on a ledge carved into the temple.
Elc chuckled. "I don't envy you, m'Lady, I'll tell you that." He tilted his head slightly as a light breeze brushed by. His nature as a creature of Wind, not his position, told him that two other people had entered the garden. He pulled together his formal act again and said, "I better go see what all the fuss with the young bachelors is about. After all," he smiled wryly, "It's my job to know things."
He bowed once to the King and once to the Queen. "It was very nice to catch up with you two finally. See you at dinner?"
It was by chance that as she was flying up she happened to notice Violet nearby, and so Lasarina quickly landed on a leaf nearby the other princess, one dark red brow raising to go along with her playfully mocking face. "What're you doing in a plant?" She asked with a half laugh in a voice that suggested sitting in a plant was some low thing to do, but under that tone there was a streak of true curiosty and mild friendliness.
Faye wasn't as startled by the fire princesses entry, but startled enough that she couldn't come up with anything to say to the girl. So she gave a nod of farewell when Lasarina took her leave. She turned back to Cain after his sister took her leave and gave him a small smile.
"You don't have to leave, after all aren't we all supposed to get to know about each other?" Faye asked moving to sit back down. "Please join us. Unless you have something else you have to do."
Veera coughed to get the attention of the small group, and bowed slightly"Forgive me if I'm interupting. Dinner will be served soon. Just head toward the dining hall whenever you're ready. It's not hard to find, and I'm sure the servants would be happy to help you if you need any help."
Shen then bowed again, and flew above the garden, looking for the king and queen of the Earth Realm and the princesses in case they hadn't heard already.
Lasarina leaned over the edge of the plant and raised her eyebrow again. "Guess dinner's gonna be in a few minutes..." She said out loud in a vauge voice as if she were only thinking out loud. She stood back up straight and looked over at Violet, her cheeks turning slightly red with embarrassment. "You wouldn't mind sitting by me at dinner, would you?" She asked, sounding a little lonely for a second, but then her guard went right back up. "I just don't want to sit near the princes while they're flirting, there are some things you just don't wanna hear while you're eating." She joked, flashing a toothy grin.
Cain was a little glad for the interuption, because he hadn't known what he could have possiably said to Faye. He smiled slighlty and motioned towards the temple. "Well, I suppose if you're hungry then we should all be moving along..." He suggested lightly. It wasn't so much that he didn't know what to say as it was he didn't know what out of those things to say would be what she would find intresting. He had heard that she had used to be human, so what fairy things would be intresting to a human? Of course, maybe fairy things would be intresting because they were different?
((Darn, you guys are fast! O.O
Oh, and just to let you all know, I'll be heading to the beach today, but I'll be back sometime Saturday. I'll post sunday at the latest.))
Upon also hearing the sudden new voices, both rulers also turned towards the other part of the garden. "Hm, I do believe you're right. Strange, didn't hear the others come in........sounds like the Fire Realm, if you ask me." the King nodded in an all-knowing fashion." He was worried about now Evan missing his chance, but his wife had told him before not to rush a possible love, or it wouldn't happen.
"Yep; fire realm children." the queen nodded, and understood Elc's request. After all, he before has lived with humans, out of thirst for knowledge. "Understood; we'll probably have to get going soon, so could you make sure that they're not in arguement? I'm a bit worried, but that's my job, I suppose-"
At the sound of the Priestess announcing dinner, the two nodded. "Right; we have to head in their first. Obvious customs, but they must be done. We'll see you at the table!" Miranda said cheerfully, before the two went off. It was custom for the Rulers to enter first, than the children of them.
At the sound of Lasarina going to find Violet, the young Earth fairy took this cue to hide slightly inward more into the plant. She could hear various voices below, but couldn't make them out well. But there were no new voices nearby, so she assumed it was just flirty talk. She continued to make observations of the plant in what felt like a little hideaway.
Turns out that this cover had not been enough; in mere moments the fire princess popped in and looked at her questionly, wondering why she was in a plant. Her tone suggested mockery and insult, but under it seemed to show another emotion, but it was hard to make out what it was. Violet just stuttered quiet jibberish, for she could not find the words she wanted to say. That, and the mock laugh was no help to this; she remembered her at a younger age. Energetic, yet back then mind-twisted from what she had seen and endured.
But she didn't need to; apparently the High Priestess had come back out, announcing dinner to be served. She could hear footsteps, so this didn't surprise her at the least. But what did suprise her, was that Lasarina suddenly seemed to flush with early embarassment, and Violet heard a question she wasn't expecting:
"You wouldn't mind sitting by me at dinner, would you?"
Violet closed her book and looked up at this statement, which was followed by a joke add-on that she nearly grinned at, but instead managed a small smile for a split second, and no more. Was this a trap, or was Lasarina really serious? It could go either way, but seeing as none of the other realms were here yet, what harm could it do? Better than listening to flirting the whole time.
She kept her defenses up, but nodded quietly before putting her book into her bag, brushing off any dirt from her dress, and flying out of the plant and landing next to the fire realm's princess.
Evan didn't want to chase the boy away, even though that would be helpful to himself. But Faye seemed to beat him to the punch; but was this a good thing, or did she want away from Evan? Bah, he needed to stop being so....clingy. A word only his sister would use.
At the suggestion for dinner, Evan nodded in agreement. "True; don't want to be late."
