Quins lips twitched at that. Ghost Whispers.. mabye he was one. it seemed to fit him just fine. he droped into his southern accent as he replyed. " well love, as it may be your father needs help with a few things. and as the royal dictator of a... not so royal group i can help your father get what he is wanting." Quin cursed quietly. he had almost told her about his position.. that would be a very dangerus thing to do when he was not on his land. do distract her from going on about him, he answerd her question from before. " as to why i helped you, i truely do not know. no man can ever tell me what to do, or have me dissmissed as a normal man. so i thought it an act of kindness and amusment to mess with your father." he looked back to her mothers ghost, she was back and was sitting next to her daughter. he moved his fingers slightly in greeting, then looked at the ground. he forgot he was not alone.. and said tierdly.
" no one should be forced to do something they dont want to do..."

he noded. "fine." he murmerd, then stiffend. in the blink of an eye he went from sitting against a stone collum to grabing Kara around the waist and pulling her back behind a stone sitting area.
he hissed in pain as one of the arrow's cut him across his shoulder, tearing his shirt and exposeing his scar. it ran from the back of his neck on the right side, across his throught and down to his left collar bone. quickly he jerked his torn shirt together and pulled Kara behind him as the hail of arrows stoped.

Quin skolded at his shoulder, the cut was deeper than it would have been. but he wouldnt bleed to much anyway so it didnt matter. keeping Kara behind him he kept an eye on the wall that the attack had come from, then when he was a safe distance he picked Kara up and moved quickly into the castle.

he sat her down. " go back to your room. or somewhere without windows." he said firmly as he turned on his heel and strode off to the kings study, almost angerly.

he kicked the doors open, and walked right to the king. " your daughter was almost assasinated." he said, stareing darkly at the king and waiting for the shock to pass from the old man.

He laghed darkly. "when your daughter marrys that toad the attacks will double." he glared at the armed gaurd that came into the room as he continued. " as for catching the assasins, ill do just that. But, ill do it with My men." he whistled and four Theifs armed to the teeth appeared from the balcony. " Sidius, set up paramiter. Turin and Spec, find tracks and pinpoint how long they were waiting there. Gin, protect the king. ill take the main yard and find where they went."

he turned his back. " i wont trust above landers to do a Theives job, and what better to find the criminal than criminals themselves?" he left the king with that, heading for the garden again.

before the man can do more than grab her, a snow lepord and black panther bite into him and pull him away from her.
Quin walks calmly into the room and, with cold hearted ease, kicks the other man across his face. with the man knocked out he looked at the panther and noded. " Water, i thank you." the panther noded back, then cleared out until all that was left was a puddle of water.

he then looked at the snow lepord and noded again, but the cat didnt leave. " Air... you wish to stay and help us then?" the cat noded and sat down firmly. "alright. your call."

Quin walked over and looked at the Princess. when the cat elementals had pulled the man away from her she had fell to the floor, so he reached down and lifted her in his arms. as the whistled to the cat he sat Kara down on her bed, then he turned and looked pointedly at the Air elemental.
"ok Air, you wanted to help. go help Spec, but send Turin back to me here. ill stay with Kara until he gets here."
the Snow Lepord nodded and lept out the window, fadeing into its element the wind.
Quin sat in a chair and put his feet up, waiting queitly for Turin. but he found himself looking at the Princess, and he tryed to figure out what she was like. her mother told him all kinds of storys about her, but none of them realy told him how she thinks. he was lost in his thoughts, forgeting that he was looking at her as he lost track of time.

Quin raised an eyebrow and cruely kicked the assasin across his face again as he tried to get up. he looked from the man on the floor to the princess, then smiled coldly. he didnt like it that she had caught him that easily, the safest thing was to keep her at a distance. so he said in a bored tone, " it is also rude to talk like that to a man who saved you life, but i think we can forgive each other and move on." he looked at the window, waiting for Turin to come. " i was not looking at you anyway.. i was thinking." he murmerd.

he sighed and shook his head. he didnt know what to say to that one. well he did actualy, he just didnt want to sound like an idiot. he settled on the more friendly terms, trying to apease Kara but still keep a little distant.
" i am not mad at you Kara. i am just tense because of the attacks. they happend right under my nose.. and i should have been ready for them."
i am waiting for someone to come and protect you. that is all, then i will return to the watch and you can safly go about your day." he looked down at the floor, watching the unconcus man for a while before saying quietly so he thought she would not hear him. " and i do not dislike you.. that is why i am keeping my distance. nothing good comes from such thoughts..." he looked out the window, falling into his thoughts again.

one minet he was sitting in the chair and the next he was standing between Spec and Kara. she had drifted off, so he didnt need to worry about her doing anything to set off Spec, but the man was still a biserker and didnt think before he acted. usualy that happend when an above lander said something against him or the rest of the clan... it never ended well. just to be kind and let Kara sleep, Quin put a finger to his lips and raised an eyebrow. he guestured to Kara, and Spec noded.

Quin shook his head when Spec looked at the princess, they wernt doing a double dealing. it was not their way. he kicked the man at his feet, and smiled amused to Spec. they both knew that any one memeber of their clan could have done a better job as an assasin, and they found it amuseing that they were usuing their darker skill's to protect someone.
saying quietly so he didnt wake up Kara. " get this one out, and set up protective area around this girl and her father. we are protecting our arrangment with the above landers."

" but Prince Shade... why are we talking to other royal familys? we need nothing from them.. just like why did you protect the girl? if she had died then this kingdom would have been easyier to take....." Spec's blank look cleared away to cheerful teaseing. " ohhh i get it, you like her. well you know you can merry her. it would solve her problum and yours then."

"Spec" that one word was laced with dark intent, but seeing his friend flinch back he softend his tone. " we are not here to take the kingdome. and haveing that poor girl bound to me would not solve her problums, it would still be a forced marrage. but it would be worse, she at least know's the man she is going to merry as it is. im protecting her because she is an innocent in all of this" Quin rolled his shoulders and picked up the unconsus assasin at his feet easily, like the man weighed nothing at all. " we are not here to double deal, to take land, or to take this kingdome. i am here to help an old friend and you annoying people fallowed me. that is all." he droped the man on Spec, who nearly fell at the sudden weight being pushed on him.

" but.. we cant let you go alone.. you are our Prince... " he stammerd out. " then why are we here?"

he turned back from the window, his entire demeanor changing into what he realy was, the darkest prince of theives. " we are here for an alliance. and it the future it will be needed by both kingdomes.." he grabed the man from Spec and lept from the window, heading for the battlements.

Spec frowned at the girl. about time she woke up.
he tossed her a gown he had picked up randomly and turned his back. only saying. " Quin said that when you wake he wants you to meet him and your father in the study. im to esscort you." he kept himself stiff, not showing how badly her dream had shaken him. Quin often had dreams like that... he woke up in a killing mood, so shaken he couldnt even speak afterwards... to imagin a girl haveing to go threw them was cruel. he thought for a bit, then tried to comfert her. " Prince Shade goes threw those dreams luv, and no matter how bad they are they always pass. just breath threw them and its easyier."
