Taiyou

Taiyou noticed that the two walked off towards another path. As they disappeared he didn't move, not wanting to be seen as a stalker. He splashed water on his face ne last time, letting out a sigh.
"Aahhh, that feels great." It was nice and peaceful out here, away from all those stuck up higher ups. Taiyou shook his head a bit, getting the watter out of his hair a bit. He then stood up and looked around. The garden was vast, and he didn't know where to start for a nice walk. He figured he'd go down the same path as the lady of the house. she would know this garden best, and mabey, if he was lucky, he could get in on some conversation with her and her guest, and get to know the Lady Violet. Taiyou placed his hands in his pockets and began walking around, looking all around at the vegitation around him. He briskly strollde down the path that led to the pond. He noticed the two ladies again, but tried to pay little mind to them, not wanting to be suspiciouse.

Impressed by the level of professionalism Lady Lypse displayd Andrial was content to be led into a different topic of conversation. Taking a seat at the egde of the pond she arranged her deep mauve gown before removing one of her black gloves and dipping her fingers into the gently flowing water.
Allowing the small fish to suckle on the tips of her fingers Andrial traced patters in the waters surface as she stared into the mirror it created.
She couldn't keep her eyes from drifting over to Lypse's refection. Even broken by the ripples of the water the Lady Violets image was one to behold. Her skin had its own iridescent glow and her hair seemed to shimmer against the darkening evening sky.
Andrial felt a kind of commodory with this women, forced to marry simply because those more powerful than they deemed it so. 'Ah the stupidity of men.' She thought ruefully.
Not allowing herself to consentrate on the annoyances life had resently thrown at her Andrial started up a conversation to keep the peaceful silence from slipping into an awkward one.
"I'm sorry, to hear about your parents passing. I myself have not been forced to deal with that reality as of yet. But I know that it must be hard. You're doing very well, on your own."
Not wanting the mood to change into that of a morose, regretful feeling. Andrial was quick lighten her tone.
"All this is yours, freedom."
Closing her eyes Andrial daydreamed about what it would be like, to not have court standards to meet. A slow smile slide into place as she opened her eyes and laughed at her own nastalgia.

Lypse watched as the young woman toyed with the water, tracing through it as though an artist with paper. Her smile softened as the woman brought up her parents, "There is no need for an apology, there was nothing that anyone incapable of miracles could have done, and we have not seen such things in these parts for years." She offered Andrial her hand to help her up before directing her away from the pond and along the plant-surrounded path. "Freedom is enjoyable, but it is not wholly there. I am limited by the laws that govern this land, by the crowds which come to enjoy my house until the coming of midnight, by the duties of taking the place of both Lord and Lady of the House. I have to work to maintain our reputation, to watch over our lands and manage our armies; though I am lucky that our King has so firmly brought peace to our lands." She continued leading the woman, trying to evade being within earshot of the boy who seemed to be following them.
The pair reached a clearing with a hill in the center, and Lypse lead Andrial to its top, stopping where there were four benches encircling a fair-sized gazebo. Sitting down on one of the benches, she invited Miss Bizenghaust to take a seat beside her. "With such freedom always comes much responsibility, and with such wealth and power even more responsibility is laid upon you; I am certain that you can understand for all of the education you must have received growing up with such a possibility as becoming Queen laying upon your shoulders. There have been times when I was younger that I envied the commoners, the ease of their labor which did not take so much thought and strategic planning, such foresight and command. For their freedom from propriety and duty, from the closeness and time which they had for friends and family. Now that I have matured, however, I have come to realize that I would not trade all of my experience, education and opportunity for the world; but perhaps that is merely because I fear that, if I were to, one less competent and caring in relation to caring for her land and those who occupy it might have taken my place." She was looking Andrial in the eyes as she spoke, a sincerity present in her voice as her tone was somewhat somber. But she smiled when she was done, then tilted her head playfully, "But what of you, Lady Andrial? What is your view of your position and many responsibilities that come with noble blood? Please, do not feel pressured to tell anything you do not wish to share, but I truly am interested."

Taiyou

Taiyou could tell that the lady Violet had noticed him, and was keeping far enough away so he couldn't hear what she was saying. Fair enough, he ahd hoped she wouldn't notice him, but it wasn't that ad that she had. When she stopped again Taiyou simply went down another path. He had hoped to get a chance to speak with her, but now realised that would be har wit the other woman around. As Taiyou made his way closer to the entrance back into the castle he saw a few of his friends from around town that had made it in as well. He ran over to them and jumped up to the low balcony, pulling himself up to the group. From up here he could slightly see where Lypse and Andriela were, but was far enough away so they wouldn't notice him. He smiled and made conversation with his friends, making jokes, trading small stories, and haveing a good ol' time. There voices were a little loud, and the two women could probably hear them, but it just sounded like simple things commoners would converse on. The group sounded like they were having fun and they slowly made there way into the garden, back towards the fountain.

Andrial was not as blind as she pretended to be, and though she did not know why they kept moving through the maze that was the garden she did know that they were moving for a reason.
Letting it go Andrial placed her faith in Lypse and followed without question. As the Lady of the house Andrial felt that she could depend Lypse to tell her if something important where happening.
"I truly am interested."
Such a phrase from anyone else would have been taken as facetious, but from the Lady Violet it was a statement Andrial could trust.
Smiling to herself Andrial thanked her father for once. It seemed that his suggestion for visiting the House of Violet was a good one after all.
Picking up on Lypse's topic of choice Andrial smiled before responding.
"I hate to sound jaded, but I feel that "noble blood, court life" they are over rated. A farse, if you will. Nothing of actual importance happens in court. Silly things, things to gossip about. Things that yes, do influence the kingdom, yes they do cause great changes in the country. But never in a good way. The court is for scandle and for those who seek to rise. But for those who are there already."
Pausing she shook her head before correcting herself.
"For me, its all just one headache."
Looking up at Lypse, Andrial let her heart show as she spoke of her hearts desires/
"I would give anything to be left alone. The education is great, the social standing is wonderful, and wealth is fantastic, but I would give it all to just be left alone. To live my life, the way I want. But this is a lie, a hopeful misconseption. I know I have a great life. That it is something I would wish for more than life if I had to give it up. This is the curse of the intellectual, to want more, but to know that its not what they want."
PostPosted: Sat Sep 20, 2008 8:23 pm

Lypse smiled as the young woman spoke, but it was not simply a smile for there was a look of understanding displayed obviously upon her face as she listened; she had heard that being born into a noble position, yet having no responsibility was nothing but a curse. Being forced to live a certain way and never having to use what one was forced to acquire and develop... "I can understand, it must be difficult to have to be raised in preparation for a position you may never have. For me, all that I have learned, all that I continue to learn, serves not only myself but my people. I seek to constantly better myself so that I might better the lives of those who are forced to live under me. I have used my knowledge to train my guards to better defend me, to teach my servants to be more proper and prepare food from all the places that I had traveled in my youth, and to educate my handmaids on how to communicate with foreigners as best they can as well as being able to otherwise entertain our guests. My knowledge of other fields has allowed me to simplify the life of my peasants, the machinery I have read of in texts from the north for better caring for the land have enabled them to be more productive. By employing those skilled in the field of engineering I have helped them to get plows and other tools for making toiling on their soil an easier and quicker task; all of my wealth, all of my knowledge, has come to allow me to be a better Lady for my people's sake. As much as I crave the solitude of the life of a monk or chanter, or the freedom to pursue knowledge as Seers and those under them in the House of Magi are able, I know that this is what I am best suited for."
She paused, sighing, "But I too have many times craved to simply be left alone, to be allowed the freedom to live life as I wanted... But, I have found that this life offers more than happiness, it offers fulfillment, it offers meaning to my life that I feel I could not find anywhere else." She turned her head to look at the stars for a moment, "And times like this, out here under the stars with someone whom I can truly hold an intelligent conversation with... These rare times supply me with relief from all of the stress that comes with my many responsibilities." She turned again to the beautiful woman beside her, admiring her form without making it obvious, then looked her in the eye. "In other words, I am grateful for your company, simply having someone to talk to who is interested in more than simply courting me and nothing else... It is a relief in itself. I sincerely hope that you will find that all of your hard work will, some day, come into play in your life. That you will find the fulfillment, the purpose that I have found in my own life." She smiled warmly, her eyes shining, there was a look in her eye of mixed gratitude and a feeling of wholeness; as though, in this moment, she was not Lady Violet the entertainer, but Lypse, the young woman who was naught but a human working hard to fill her role in life.

'Lypse, this women, she is truly beautiful, no words could describe.' The Lady Violet had posses her in a way that she had never been before. This Lypse, she was beyond compare. Perfection in a human form.
The truth of these words rang through in Andrial's eyes.
'I don't know the custom here in Furia, but I have found my compainion. I have met my match and I shall never choose another.' This determination set in her mind Andrial silently vowed to befriend the Lady Violet. To court her if she could, and if this, in the end, was not how Lypse wanted things to be then Andrial would settle for her companionship.
Offereing her arm to Violet Andrial bowed polietly before saying.
"I think I have kept you from your other guests for long enough. How jealous they will be to find that you dissapeared with me alone into the gardens for so long. It was a privlage will not soon forget."
Andrial relied on her eyes, on her body once more to tell Lypse that this was not good night, mearly a break in the moment, to give both of them time to think. To give herself time to "stratagize" if you will.
"If you don't ming Lady Lypse, I think I will take you up on that offer, I would greatly appriciate a room in your home. If the offer still stands that it."
PostPosted: Sat Sep 20, 2008 8:57 pm

Lypse could tell through the look in Andrial's eyes that the young woman had thoughts running through her head, but she did not ask, for one's personal thoughts were generally one's own business. Smiling, not without a look of slight surprise, Lypse curtsied in return and took the young woman's arm. Not taking her eyes off of Andrial's, she accompanied her back towards the house as the young woman made known her decision regarding Lypse's previous offer. Smiling, Lady Violet replied, "Of course the offer still stands, the people of this House are good for their word, and unless one does something signifying that they do not deserve what has been offered to them, which you have not done, then the offer may come to stand until the one who delivered it has parted from this world." She laughed softly, "Though sometimes, our offers last even after that." The pair approached the door that lead them back into the great House, and Lypse gently disconnected her arm from her companion's, "I believe this is where we shall part for now, one of my guards will be posted in the smoking room, for that one is easiest to find, and as soon as you are ready for bed she shall escort you." A smile spread across Lypse's face, "It has been an honor speaking with you, and I hope to do so again soon." She leaned in and placed a kiss upon Andrial's brow, not hard as the young woman was a good two inches shorter than herself, "I shall be in shortly." With that she turned to the commoners who were speaking amongst themselves rather loudly, and singled out the boy with blue hair. "Excuse me young sir, but might I have a moment of your time in private?"

The malventor watched from the side of the house as a number of guests arrived and departed, more departing than anything else for the hour was getting late. Slithering further away from the entrance to the Manor, Siraphim stopped near the end of this particular wall of the house. Eranor at his side, he raised his arms, then began waving them in fluid motions as he muttered a few phrases under his breath. A glowing light surrounded the two, then they disappeared from view. They rematerialized within the top of one of the many towers of the House of Magi. Though Siraphim had introduced himself as a Seer, he was, in truth, one of the five Farseers who oversaw the great school of learning.
He moved to a small container which housed rats, they would be all that was necessary for calling upon the spirits of a Lord and Lady, for only the truly powerful heroes, 'villains' and masters of magic or war required birds as sacrifice in place of rodents, and only the spirits of great creatures of myth required larger mammals. Ordering Eranor to stay by his side, Siraphim slithered into the center of a ring drawn in blood and surrounded by candles. With a snap of his finger, the candles burst into flame and, squeezing the rat in his massive claw, the seer began the incantation to call the most recently deceased Lord and Lady of the House of Violet into the world of the living.
As the rats blood dripped to the floor, the coagulated circle of the same substance which surrounded them began to glow, revealing its intricate design in the darkness. Before them, a dark purple glow appeared and separated into two ovals which, slowly, began to take the form of a man and a woman. "Greetings Andresson and Ariel Violet, I assume you know who I am." It was not a question, he knew that they were aware. His name was known by many throughout the underworld, for he had called those among the highest ranks of it and did not appear to have suffered for doing so. That in itself was an unheard of feat.
The deceased Lord and Lady looked each other in the eyes before turning to him, obviously uncomfortable, then nodded. "We know who you are, Farseer." Andresson replied.
"Do you know why I have called upon you?" Siraphim asked.
Andresson looked down before nervously returning his eyes to the malventor before him, "I am afraid that I can only guess."
The malventor grinned, "I met your daughter tonight, she has yet to know who I truly am, but I am afraid that the lack of knowledge is mutual. I want to hear all that you have to tell."
Over the next few hours, the two recalled all that they could of Lypse's life, how she had been raised, how quickly she learned and how curious and caring she was as a child. The father admitted to his crimes of sexual abuse and was forced by the Farseer to recount every painful detail. The mother told of teaching her all that she had known by the age of nine, how ahead of any child they had ever known she was. Then they explained in detail the night that she had disappeared, kidnapped and taken away to lands unknown. Those three years were a blank to them, and Siraphim knew through the spells he had placed upon the spirits that they were not lying when they said this.
The couple went on to recall in perfect detail the day in which she had returned, the tears of joy that they had both shed, and how Andresson had promised never to hurt her again for fear that such was the reason she had disappeared in the first place. They told of how she had come back full of secret knowledge, which they admitted that they had never truly delved into. She returned with books as well, ones which she kept to herself and refused to share with them. She informed them that, after her kidnapping she had been sold away to a rich merchant who initially used her to entertain and attract potential buyers, until he recognized how swift a learner she was and allowed her to join him in the trade. She said that she'd soon become his partner and they traveled the lands of the east together; but her parents admitted that they did not know the reliability of the story.
They continued to tell how, after her return, she insisted being present with them while they conducted business. Then, while they were not, she insisted on being taught more trades than they could see her ever needing to know. By the age of sixteen she had begun to travel out accompanied by guards to see the country, where the various peasants serving under the Violet family lived. She began speaking with them, gathering their views and opinions. She returned to her parents and suggested that they have representatives from the Lord's army, as there was at the time no other use for them, go out to the peasants and come back with their opinions on what needs change so that the Violets might better serve their people. Her parents admitted to having been very impressed with her, but as their fond memories began overwhelming the things which Siraphim considered important, he silenced them.
"That's enough. I have no time for your little songs of praises. I need to hear what talents she learned, not how proud of her you are." The malventor spat his words, obviously disgusted by the affection they held for their child.
The parents then looked down and, not without a hint of embarrassment in her voice, the mother looked up and spoke, "We really don't know."

Taiyou

The group in the garden seemed to be enjoying themselve much more out here with just friends the insdie with the large crowd, as Lady Violet approached the group many of the people turned and gave her a respectful bow. Taiyou turned to see who it was, for his back had been turned. When he say Lypse and heard his name he gave her an elegent bow.
"Of course m'lady." He strightened up and began to walk over to her. "I'll see you guys later, he said turning to wave to his friends. They all waved back and bega heading back to the hall to the ballroom to give the lady and their friend some privacy. "What, may I ask, is the occasion that the great Lady Violet would want to see me?" he asked, wondering if this was going to be something good, or if he would have to leave sooner then expectde to avoid trouble. Taiyou hoped it was the first one.

Lypse smiled as he addressed her, "Usually I would introduce myself before conversing with you, but it appears as though you already know who I am." She bowed, and as she did so she spoke, "Lypse Violet, at your service," after rising, she continued, "if you don't mind introducing yourself, young sir, it would be much appreciated." She was considering him, sizing him up. He was obviously athletic, leading her to believe he was the one whom she had seen in the trees out of her peripheral vision earlier, and her belief was further backed by how she had seen him dancing earlier. She felt safe assuming he was a thief, as he had acquired such nice clothing but danced as a commoner and talked with them as though they were old friends. Most Lords and Ladies were busy enough with their duties that they had little time to attend the cities except on business, and business did not usually include befriending strangers who were not partners in their transactions.

Taiyou

"Ah, of course, where are my manners? I am Taiyou Azura, son of the late lady Ysabelle, and lord Anor Azura." The two named where a lord and lady in a nearby city. They had died just a few months ago, though how is not certain. They had had a son, but he hadn't been seen since the two died. The late lord and lady had looked like Taiyou did, and had the same hair. The son of the two had also been know to disappear often, and head into the city, and surrounding cities to enjoy himself.

Lypse smiled at the man as he gave his introduction, she knew he was lying, she'd seen the son of the Azure family before, and aside from the hair color this 'Taiyou' looked nothing like him. Not to mention that their son's name was Thomson. She decided, however, that she'd play along. "It's an honor to met you Lord Taiyou, I am sorry for the recent passing of your parents, if there's ever any need to talk of it, my ears are open. I have had quite a similar experience not long before your parents left his world." There was a look of perfectly imitated sympathy in her eyes, and her tone carried the same tone. "I merely wished to speak with you because I had noticed you following me in the garden and assumed, though perhaps wrongly so, that you had some desire to speak with me."

Taiyou

"Oh, so that was you out here in the garden. I came out here to cool off. And when I arrived I saw two women walking around. You seemed to be avoiding me so I guessed you wanted some privasy. My apologies if I made you feel uneasy." He gave her another bow, not wanting her to be mad at him. "And as for my parents, no need to be sorry, I have been able to cope. But what of you? Your parents ran this land, and with them gone it must be a heavy burden. I would be more worried about youself them of a simple lord." Taiyou was begining to like Lypse, she seemed sincere and kind, and cared about others, unlike all the other lords and ladies he'd seen. They only seem to care about themselves and their posesions.

The Lady Violet had been wise in her desicion to post an escourt at the smoking room door. Had Andrial not been able to "scent" her way to the aformentiond room then she never would have found it.
Locating a gaurd she quickly found her escort and was shown her rooms with the quiet curtiousy that all Lypse's servants seemed to posses.
Thanking her escort Andrial shut the large double doors and locked them before throwing herself down into the feather matresse. Her mind swam with emotion and conflicts, both frightening and joyful. Visions of Lypse dancing in the garden, laughing happily, her eyes glowing with a foreign emotion, dare I say, love, that was only ment for Andrial.
It was a dream, but one that she would find herself dwelling upon in the nights to come.
Rising from her "faint" Andrial exsplored the exscusite room. Admiring the craftmenship and taste that went into decorating such a lavish apartment. Stepping into the bathroom she scrubbed her face clean of the scents and sounds of the other inhabitants before sleepily stumbling back into the main bedroom. Standing before a full lenght mirror Andrial absentmindedly admired her reflection. Not one to be swayed into the easy ways of beauty, Andrial could not help but notice the warmth that refected out of her eyes.
She knew she was smitten with the Lady Violet and let the joy of that knowledge, of her new "crush" if you will, run through her. Treasuring her secret she sat down at the end of the massive four post bed. Briefly it crossed her mind that she did not have any spare clothes for the night or the next day for that matter. Having left them at the inn where she assumed she would be staying during this little "vacation". Shrugging Andrial took her time disrobing, removing her bodice and skirts, then garters and stalkings. Folding them neatly she put everything away in the empty dresser and wardrobe before returning to the mirror.
'I shall have to summor my servants early tomorrow.' She though as she pulled the many pins out of her amythist hair.
At last free from its bindings Andrial quickly brushed her long hair and pulled it back into a simple braid that nearly reached her lower back. For tonight her slip would have to substitute for a night gown, seeing as she hadn't had the forsight to bring anything extra with her.
Crawling under the thick covers Andrial settled in for the night, cuddling her pillows and giggling in her sleep as the Lady Violet dominated her dreams.
