Yeah, the overnights might nudge this up ahead of The Satan Pit, but it's getting beaten in the timeslot that really hurts. Knowing that for the first time it got low ratings because there was something on the other side the public just wanted to watch more.
Oh well, thier loss. wink
I propose that Doctor Who retaliates with a show in which Li H'sen Chang, Proffesor Litefoot and Henry Gordon Jago hold auditions to find a variety act good enough to perform in front of Magnus Greel.
They could call it Britain's Got Talons.

xp Bad pun.
And I'd say Doctor Who is doing pretty well then, if this is the first time that New Who has gotten beaten in the timeslot. ^^

Digital overnights - 1.14million. This is good! It is over twice what the repeat of TUATW got. It's the highest rating on multi-channel television.
The AI was 89, which puts it firmly in the "Excellent" category ("Outstanding" starts at 90). For those who don't know, AI is a measure of how much viewers enjoyed the programme.
As it stands, however, on unofficial figures, Doctor Who is 28th in the week's chart. Official figures will be released in 9 days time, with a Top Twenty figure just possible, but don't get your hopes up. If it doesn't finish in the Top Twenty, this will be the first time since The Doctor Dances back in 2005.

Lots of my friends find the new series boring, which is a shame because I much prefer it to previous 3. People seem to really like womens wanting to shag the Doctor. D8

That's silly! I liked the Rose/Doctor dance or attraction, but not Martha's swooning, nor the girl-of-the-week thing he has going on once in a while. I absolutely love Donna's no-way, no-how stance on their relationship. It gives me more room to simply enjoy the story that's happening without having to worry about subtext. Doctor Who gets confusing enough without all that craziness. rolleyes
