She still didn't look at him as he spoke, her tail swishing. Just because he said it wasn't flatter, it did not mean that it was the truth. People lied. She knew that, all to well.
When he asked if he was bothering her however, her head snapped around, eyes wide. "No, no. If I thought that you were a bother I would not have come, Norryk."

Norryk only asked due to his knowing she did not honestly believe him. Shaking his head slightly he turned his head to study her. After a moment he rose up. He removed his bracelet and rosary and jumped into the water without explanation. It had been tempting him since yesterday after all.
"Come on, the water is actually....quiet nice." he smiled treading water ever so slightly.

Her eyes widened as he leaped in. Blinking at the flash, she took a step back. "No, I think not. I'm fine on the shore."

Norryk smiled and lazily swam a little closer. "Oh, stop acting so stubborn women." he splashing he lightly and watched her.

Her eyes widened and with a hiss, she shrank back. "Don't do that!"

The devil laughed softly. "You...need to live just a little M'lady." he murmured splashing her again with a bit more force.
"Now, unless you wish to be drenched, I suggest you try joining me hm?" He winked and her and paddled a ways into the lake vanishing when he dived down.

She scowled at him. She was already drenched, thanks to him. Shaking her dripping mane, she briefly considered chasing him and drowning him. It seemed like a lot of work however, so sighing, she just slipped into the water, shaking her head as it soaked her feathers.

After a moment, a small ripple in the calm water broke. Norryk re-surfaced just behind her and leaned forward a touch.
"Why..Ravyn, I did not think you'd join me." he murmured before moving out of a potential swat. In that moment, he appeared young again, a certain level of boyish charm...wrapped up in a dangerous package that was all him.
He was not childish in any means, he just had... a certain lightness to him. It could be noted he was genuinely enjoying himself.

She jumped and whirled around, very very tempted to lash out at him. He'd startled her, and that wasn't right. Treading water, she watched him, eyes narrowed. If it wasn't for the lightheartedness he seemed to be portraying, she very well might have. She huffed at him, watching him as he swam.

~~~ After some time spent in the water, the chill of it proved a bit two much for the pair. They ended up climbing out. Cold, but respectful of her he at first just sat down next to her. His wings being bat-like would work even damp. He flexed them, slowly tucking them back behind him.
Looking down at her he lightly nosed at her. "Ravyn...?" He looked away for a moment. "Are you alright." He noted her wings, they would not dry as quickly as his.

She shivered, looking up at him as her teeth chattered. It had been a bad idea to go into the water, she had known it, but still she had. She was angry at him, it had been his idea, and as she shook out her wings, she glared. "No. I cannot fly now. My wings will take forever and a day to dry," she said bitterly. She was angry at him, yes, but it had been her own decision to go, and she had to admit that. Perhaps she was more angry that she was crippled now and he was not. He could leave her there alone.

Norryk did not leave.
In fact he moved closer to her and stretched only one wing, namely his right one. In doing this...he some how strangely on an unconscious level trusted this woman. Setting it over her, he settled beside her, and gently shifted so he could lick at her ear in an attempt to help dry her faster.
No, the devil would not leave her. Instead he tried to help her.

The Messenger's eyes widened and she leaned away, not out of his wing's reach, but away, staring at him. She was barely used to conversation, let alone touch. The minor nosing he had been doing to her before had been enough to set her head reeling, but this? This was on a whole other level?"
"W-what are you d-doing?" she asked, teeth chattering.

He sighed softly teeth clashing together as well. "Trying to warm you u....up M'lady." He closed his eyes and focused on not stuttering due to cold. He had endured cold worse then this.
"It....is my fault you are cold after all." He said quietly dragging his necklace back within rang but not putting it back on. He kept his wing around her but tried to give her peace of space.

She eyed him warily, feeling bad. It hadn't been his fault really.. And swimming had been nice. Sighing, she shifted back over to him, rubbing her side against his. He was cold too, after all.
"N-no, it's not your f-fault," she murmured.
