"Mysterian?" Tilting her head to the side, she listened to the rest of the dragon-girl's speech, growing slightly more confused with each sentance. "Ah.." she trailed off, not knowing what to say.

Arrakis immediately frowned. Was it possible this child did not know her origins? Did her Guardian even know? Or did the Guardian just think it was normal to have purple children hatching out of eggs?
"You are a Mysterian, do you not know this?" the dragon cocked her head to the side in confusion. There was no doubt to her that this child before her was a Mysterian; what species, however, was a mystery even the draconic child.

Hateya shook her head silertly, wings curling around her shoulders protectivly.

Arrakis patted Hateya's should in empathy, "Well, I can tell you a little bit. You, like myself, are a Mysterian. Essentially, our eggs -you know you hatched from an egg right?- come from this mirror that two women named Sian and Meru found. I had never heard of an egg getting lost..... but I guess it is possible. I am a dragon," she smiled, "and my name is Arrakis."

Hateya relaxed slightly, wings rustling to their original spot. "....Hateya," she supplied when Arrakis gave her name. "But how can an egg come from a mirror..?"

"Well, Hateya! It is a pleasure to meet you!" Arrakis beamed and then went to contemplate the question. "Umm, I am not very sure how the eggs come from the mirror. It's just magic, I guess," she shrugged, as if that was a good enough answer.

"Magic, huh......"she said, zoning off slightly. "Well, last time I checked, mirrors don't lay eggs, so they had to have come from somewhere..."

Arrakis giggled, "Of course they come from somewhere.... I just do not know what that somewhere is called."
The dragon paused and looked out at the stars. Her next words seemed confused, a trait they rarely take on, "I cannot find evidence to it anywhere..."

Blinking at Arrakis' cryptic message, she craned her head around to look at her. "Cannot find evidence to what?"

Arrakis smiled sadly over at Hateya, "Evidence.... to the place of our origins.... our birthplace... we obviously are not from Earth. Also, none of the Mysterians have been the same, except for a few exceptions of brother and sister. There is just too much diversity, and I think the mirror is like a portal. The only problem is, it is only one way, and only eggs have come through...."

"Ah." was al she said. Curling her legs up onto the bench, she rested her hin on her knees and stared out at the world beyond the porch. "Well, I suppose if we were wanted to find out about our origins, it wouldn't be so hard, would it?"

"There are some clues," Arrakis nodded. "For example, all of the species are known in human mythology and legends. I can infer from the legends that I am a dragon type, just by reading around. You, however, I do not know what your type is. Do you happen to know that?"

Hateya shook her head slowly and pushed a strand of hair out of her eyes. "No....it would be nice to know though.."

Arrakis stood up, glad to have a purpose for the night, "Do you have any books in there? We can check it out....! See if we can find you species."

Nodding hesitantly, she unfolded herself from the bench and walked to the front door. "'S not very big, but it might have something in it..." she said, pushing the door open.
