"yep. You got a week ta get ready. Asian themed night, so play your j-pop to your hearts content. I'll want you to come in sunday during the day for a sound check and a walk through of the events. Oh, and for dinner. I feed my staff before every day." He'll look down at the sheet, and slide it over to her. It was a basic contract, stating that one Darsais Starling would provide her services on June 1st as a musician at The Nights Portal, for the agreed upon sum of 15,000 gold. No payment if she reneged, yada yada. the standard contract really, without any frills or whistles.

Darsais read the contract. She'd seen stuff like this before. Everything checked out, so she picked up the pen and signed her name. "Asian themed night?" she asked, grinning. "Sounds perfect." She was excited about this job already.
"So, you said something about low rent apartments, right?" she asked. The commute from Gambino to Barton sucked. A lot.

"Yup. Got spare rooms on the 3rd floor, and in the basement, all sound proofed. 1 bedroom, 1 bath, one sitting room/living room/dining room/kitchen. I rent em for 1000 a month to my crew. Utilities included, unless ya need something strange." He'll smile a little. "Food your on your own for, and if you touch the booze, i'd have to yell at ya, being underage and all." He'll stand up, finishing off his drink, and looking down at her. "Entrance for employee's is through the back alley. Don't worry, it just looks rougher then it is. I had a 'chat' with the local gangs. they don't bother my customers. Any questions?"
