Antony would be so much cooler if he wasn't so stuck on being clean. But it wasn't like Rory had anything better to do. She hopped off the swing and went for his bag. "Sure! But shouldn't you wait to clean up till after it's done?" she asked him.

"No, it's done enough," he said as he held out his hand for the handkerchief. "You need to work on your balance compensation, Jace, as well as your speed. but you're good enough to train Rory. So I will be going now."

Jace answered this by coming at him and tackling him like a freight train; arms around his waist, hanging on for dear life, a fighting move that he could have taken a lot more advantage of had it really been a fight. Instead, she just tumbled him down to the ground and sprinkled grass in his hair in vengeance. "Why are you such an a*****e?" she bawled. "You are such a d**k."

Rory was very glad that she didn't go up to him right now. So, she waited, handkerchief in hand. Okay, so maybe this wasn't a thing for him. But she did like the training.
So, she waited again.

He sighed, knowing he would never get the grass stains out of his tanktop, then gingerly reached down, patting her on the back. "You'll get much better," he promised her. "You shouldn't be so impatient, Jacoba. You have a lot of promise."

She swung her heavy legs over his hips and raised her own, so as not to crush his pelvis, and she crossed her arms in consternation. "You're being patronizing," she said, "you're such a little b***h sometimes, A, just because you can backflip and do the Mortal Kombat. And don't call me Jacoba."

Antony sighed and shoved her off of him, not about to mention that she had been in a rather risque position there for a moment. In some ways Jace was far too innocent, thought the boy that had to look up the word "*****," he said as he stood. "I won't patronize you. You need to work on compensating for your balance problem and your speed. Which is exactly what I told you before. Your techniques are good."

"Not good enough to beat you yet," she said, and she stood up and ran one hand again through her shock of crimson hair. "Can't train you, Ror, sorry. You'll have to stick with Jerkdick. Want to do push-ups sometimes, though? I go to the school gym at weekends to do reps, I'll spot you."

Now that this seemed over, Rory offered up the handkerchief. They were both really good! And Jace had strong legs, so maybe she could teacher her something!

"Thank you, Rory," Antony said, trying to clean himself off. He even reached up and undid his ponytail, trying to get the grass out of his hair once his hands were wiped off. He looked far too pretty with his hair down.
He reached down, tugging his shirt off to inspect the back of it, unwittingly revealing the large bruise he had on his side from his last sparring match with Shade. It was ugly, purple and blue at the center with green and yellow on the outside. There were a few other bruises as well, scattered over his chest. Those were starting to fade.

Jace sniggered, not at all worried or even noticing that he'd taken his shirt off. Naked guy chest, whatever. "You look like a domestic abuse case, Pretty Hairs," she said. "Ha. I like that. Pretty Hairs."

He was pretty with his hair down! Some how, that just seems -so wrong- to Rory, but the bruises distracted her. She peered at them more, being oblivious to anything else. "Oh that's nasty lookin," she commented at the biggest, ugliest one.
Okay, idea of Antony -not- fighting was revised. He did fight often enough to be bruises like this.

Antony looked down, a twitch of a smile pulling on the corner of his lips. "I need to work on my speed, as well," he told Jace before pulling the tanktop back on. "Father has the bad habit of aiming for a weak spot over and over again, even if he is going easy on me. I managed to block his tail by the fifth time, though."
It was a bad habit that he would pick up, if he hadn't already.

"Oh, so sparring then," Rory said, being less concerned now. She had thought that was a tail mark. It was big, like her mother's tail. Well, she was glad Shade wasn't teaching her right now!
Though he wouldn't be near as hard on her as he was with Antony.
