Ah Greek, I remember learning it in HIgh School, but before my slightly obsessive period with languages. I'd love to come back to Greek at some stage, because I still have the alphabet memorised. I can read the Greek alphabet, but I wont be able to tell you what it means. sweatdrop

Little fact I'm sure everyone knows, the word alphabet comes from Alpha and Beta, first two letters of the Greek alphabet. rolleyes

Keema is meat, but it's not decended from Greece. Maybe I don't understand the question. confused

Well, if you don't have human recourses....I suggest a combination of books and CDs to help you out. Do some research and find the most highly sought after language learning systems and look into those. really look into them before you buy though because a lot of them are just crap, from what I've noticed. Books will explain pronounciations differently and sometimes wrong. Not all print is correct.

Sorry...I'm never on and didn't know there were questions heh. sweatdrop

I don't think it's too suprizing because languages inner-weave with one another, not all words are chared of course, but words change and start to relate to others languages.

I do! It is my second language since I am half-American and half-Greek-Cypriot (in my home country, there are Greek-Cypriots and Turkish-Cypriots). whee

We had to learn Latin for a year too, but then I chose to carry on for another two years smile My Latin teacher speaks Ancient Greek, but he won't teach it to anyone except this one person because he's so clever.
Anyways, back on topic I decided yesterday to try and start learning Greek, because I was looking around on the internet and it sounded interesting, and I've never learned another alphabet before either. I'm mostly using the internet to learn, there's quite a lot of good resources there if you look, but if I have any questions I'll post here smile
