I like the album Hot Rocks.

That's not an album.

I'm going to the concert! October 19th in Tampa! I'm so excited. EXCEPT the fact that a really crappy seat (cheapest ticket) is $60. Oh well, I think it's worth it.

ONe of my favorite songs is Sympothy for the Devil

I didn't realize I had heard that song until last night,and it's actually terrible in my opinion.I prefer (I Can't Get No)Satisfaction.

That's a pretty cool song. (Sympathy For the Devil) The lack of rhythm guitar on an otherwise great song annoys the living ******** out of me, though.

The bongos are pretty stupid,too.

Nah, they fit well and contribute to the vibe the song is supposed to have.

Albeit, I'm an ABB fan so I'm biased when it comes to bongos.

Whatever.
I don't listen to that song as much as others, but it was on the country's list of the top 50 greatest songs in rock....just a side comment. sweatdrop

I'm personally not that interested in seeing them considering the high prices...not to mention, they're pretty much washed up. I mean...there's like 11 musicians total on stage at most times to help cover up in case they ******** up...all of the spirit is gone. I know they were in it for money from the beginning, but it's just pointless now...

Yea, I'm one of those "horrible" people who go and see artists (regardless of their age and love of money) just because I feel like I should see them at least once in my life play live. My dad and I are going and I am excited despite your neverending pessimism. I know I know, you're just giving your opinion, but it's (for the most part) always the opposite of mine and other people (or so I've gathered) and is always worded in a condescending way.

It's not pessimism, it's being a realist. Ask people who've been to see them recently who did most of the work...the original members or the hired guns. Ask if there were any noticeable mistakes or anything like that....all the drugs have worn down on them over the years, so it's the way it is now. However, if you simply want to see them as an "I got to see them before I die" event...that's perfectly understandable. I simply feel sorry for the ones who pay $300 + to do that, as I feel they're being ripped off. (and sometimes the ticket prices DO get that high.... gonk ). As for my posts being worded in a conscending way....I think you're simply misunderstanding me, because I never do that.

That said...enjoy the show.

Yea, you got a point. My ticket is only $60, which is still expensive, but not bankruptcy bad. And yea, in my usual fashion I probably am misunderstanding the tone you're saying things in. I'm not the best at detecting tones. Sorry if I came off as a b****.

Having re-read my post, I can see how it can be misinterpreted. I should have filled out my statements a bit more, so to speak....

For example:

"not to mention, they're pretty much washed up. I mean...there's like 11 musicians total on stage at most times to help cover up in case they ******** up...all of the spirit is gone." = they're just not the same band that they used to be....the lust for money was there from the beginning, but to me it now seems like all of their passion for the music is gone and that's the only thing left.

and "I know they were in it for money from the beginning, but it's just pointless now..." = It's pointless for them to continue now, as all they're doing is milking the fans of their hard-earned money that could better be spent on their older, high quality material, rather than seeing them now when they're essentially just a nostalgia act...not "it's pointless and stupid for fans to go".

Yea, you're absolutely correct. I'm definitely going for nostalgic reasons, but nevertheless I'm excited. It will be a couple days before my 18th birthday, which is pretty kickass.

All of the tickets for the show near me sold out already, and I'm pretty disappointed. Would've been nice.

My history teacher has a Mick Jagger quote in his room fomr 1971 or something near it saying that he didn't want to still be playing music when he was 50 or 60, that he had to find something else to do with his life.

Oops.
