English is my second language heart I first learned it when I was about 5, when my big brother played King's Quest III -PC-game, where you wrote the commands 3nodding That was a simple way to learn. "Take cup"-style. I've been studying english at school from 3rd grade. At some time felt stupid, that we study swedish from 7th grade, when that's second language of Finland... But it seems right now.
I might become an english teacher someday 3nodding It's most natural foreign language for me. Sometimes I think in english sweatdrop But I do mistakes very often, even if I have always had 10(the best grade) in english...

Proudly_Jewish Yeah... it's actually slightly inaccurate, seeing as some learn it as a 3rd/4th/5th/etc language ninja Since Finland is officially bilingual, most of us learn English as "the first foreign language". Still, I'll have to say that it has always come more naturally to me than Swedish, the other domestic language.

I'm learning english since...*think* 9 years now. In the 4 grade it was just for people who like to learn english during playing. I joined cause I never understood the songs which are played in the radio. But grammar is still my enemy *lol* ^^''''

*Jumps back to the discussion at the first page* You are forgetting that, English and almost all other languages has Dativ, Accusativ and all those. Danish doesnt. It's very hard to learn and many danish people cant even speak it, far from write it, because there is such a big difference in how you speak and how you write. Take the largest city, Copenhagen. People from two different ends of that city, which really isnt all that big, speaks in different dialects.
Also, in two parts of the country, say Copenhagen and Denmarks southern point, the people cant always understand each other because of the dialects. I come from Copenhagen and when my german teacher, who's from the southest place in DK, I cant understand a word of what she's saying. The dialect she speaks is a mix of german, danish and some english accent. Scottish I think it is, but I'm not sure. Danish is NOT easy to learn. I believe its a great challenge for anyone who thinks they can speak whatever language they want to learn. Danish and Icelandic is true challenges. My best friend is from Iceland and he brought me there last year. I could understand some of it, because it sound a bit like danish, but other than that... Not a clue what it all meant, so I talked English most of the time. Was fun and gave me some experience in actually speaking english.
Anyway, I'm off to bed *waves*
EDIT: By the way, why havent anyone put Dictionary.com on as an English dictionary? Its really great. I use it almost everyday at school and at home.
