Behind the desk was a rather tall old man in a dark robe with piercing hazel eyes. His gray beard stretched down to the top of the desk and his hair stretched down in a similar fashion. He wore a pair of reading glasses and a scholar's cap. The desk itself was hovering off the ground with no legs. His lamps were spheres of light with little cymbal like disks as shades.

With a wave of an arm, a chair came sliding up behind the new employee. Another wave slid up a contract to the edge of the desk before the new employee. Without even a slight change in his stoic expression, the man spoke up, "Welcome, Maryl Ester."

((Do you want to skip to the end?))

Maryl was quite intimidated by her new 'manager'. She managed to fall into the chair as it slid up under her and not flinch, but her eyes widened immediately as he happened to know her name without her saying a word. It was like having an interview with with a psychic. He probably knew her thoughts and the outcome of this meeting ahead of time.

((Yeah, sure.))

The old man was revealed to be in fact, the library's administrator. He had taken some time to go over Library policy employee expectations and other details of the structure, as well as clearly answering any questions his new employee might have.

After a few minutes of discussion, the Library administrator took the contract, inserting it into a folder then putting it away. "Now, if you have no further questions, you are dismissed. You will begin in two days at opening time. I expect to see you then."

Without even moving a limb this time, the old man willed the office door open.

Maryl nodded and waved to her new boss as she left the office. She noticed a few of her soon to be co-workers gathered around a broken window and up in arms over it as she paced down the hallway back to the main library foyer. As she entered the main hall she took a deep breath, taking in the atmosphere of the library again. She made her way to the exit and stepped out before taking her hearthstone out and activating it and vanishing in a swirl of light.

Senshi walked into the library for two reasons. One was to see if anyone could give him directions and the second was to find a book of the records of the mage and swordsman acadamys of the earth kingdom were he originated from. He looked around and found a green book with the registry for a swordsman acadamy. He picked it up and looked through it and found an entry of a boy named Mizukee who joined 12 years ago. He decided to take a look at the earth kingdom.
He found a map that would lead him to the earth kingdom. So he put the book and the map back and left.

the doors flew open, and a ragged teen came in, he marched to the front desk "one book on using air powers for dummies please" at first the librarian just stared then found the book the boy looked up "thankyou, i have had a long trip, and a rough encounter to say the least"

The doors slid open as Maryl paced through the small gap between them letting in a bit of snow. Shivering a bit, she shook off some snow, pulled down her hood, and walked over to the reception desk. She placed her hands on the desk to get the attention of the receptionist, "Excuse me. I need to get to the office of administrations." She requested quietly, hoping the receptionist wouldn't laugh. Maryl was fairly small but she was wearing the same uniform.

After a brief wait at the reception desk, Maryl was visited by one of the monitors. The gentleman lead her back to the office section quietly before she would begin orientation.

Maryl spent the day learning about the index system, how to arrange books on shelves, what to watch out for in misconduct of visitors, and access to literature. Most of her day would be following around another librarian before she would be set off on her own later that day.

Lifting his head up from the desk he was perched upon, Aeri yawned as, he tried to remember where he was. The whole experience gave him a sense of deja vu, like he'd been through this before. (He had, four times to be exact)

"Oh, right" he was in the library. It had been exactly twenty-four hours since he'd first arrived. The magician was on a mission. He had to study. Mastering the art of cloud manipulation seemed critical at the time. But now, wiping the sleep from his eyes and pretending that slob in the counter wasn't his, he really didn't feel like it anymore. He picked up his bag and gathered up the books he had sprawled across the table. Maybe checking the out and reading them later would help.

But now . . . the problem was just finding his way out. He was lost.

Maryl had been carrying a stack of used books back to a sorting cart for reshelving, when she felt an intense burst of magic energy wash over her. She stumbled slightly from the shock and looked back in the direction from where it had come. She set the books down on a table and quietly approached a window facing in that general direction.

From the direction of the castle, Maryl could literally see the mana welling up in the air. She began to see a quick flash of images in her mind as she stared out the window. Her premonition, the dream from only a few nights ago was happening now. Her hands began to tremble in nervous curiosity and fear.

Only able to look on frozen, Maryl dropped to the ground, seated and staying upright with her arms. Sweat dripped from her face as she felt an intense strain. Knowing what was going to happen wasn't protecting her from the experience she was feeling now. At such an awkward time she just hoped nobody would notice her plight.

Getting the feeling that the event was finally over, Maryl wiped the sweat off of her forehead with her sleeve. She struggled to stand up and quietly returned to the books she was putting away. The clock on the wall within plain view of the foyer showed about 15 minutes till her shift was up. I have to tell Sarah as soon as I get home. She returned to the cart and brought it back to sorting before one of the manager pulled her aside at the edge of the office area.

"Transfer? What do you mean?" She blurted out fairly loudly.

"shh!" the manager hushed at first before speaking up. "You'll just be working at the castle library from now on. A few others on your shift are. The headmaster says the castle library inventory was redone and they are currently understaffed. Besides, it's much closer to your home isn't it?"

"Well, yeah but..."

"I'm sorry there wasn't much warning before hand. None of us were really told about this restructuring until this afternoon, but the headmaster figured you wouldn't be too disoriented since this is your first day."

"Oh... Okay."

"Anyway, due to some royal events taking place at the castle, we're closing up early today. You may as well go on home now."

"Alright." Maryl nodded before quietly making her way for the front door.

Aeri had just woken up; in all honesty he certainly wasn't in the mood for being lost right now. He was known for his patience and rational thinking, but on an empty stomach all he could really think about was the breakfast that he'd be missing for all of this--manners and decorum could wait for later.

There were simply too many hallways. He hadn't seen a person for at least the last ten minutes now, and walking at the pace he was, it wasn't a good sign. Any moment now he felt like he would go crazy, he could've sworn he was hearing voices.

Transfer? What do you mean transfer . . .
The magician looked around desperately to make out where the sound was coming from. Peering through the gaps in between the books, he saw the light flickering as someone moved past a few shelves over.

"Um . . ." the words came out faintly as he tried his hardest to follow the two people wherever they going, hopefully it was for the nearest exit. After a while he noticed that the two people had separated, he was now only following one of them. He tried his hardest to keep up, amazed at how anyone could memorize and maneuver such corridors. What was Saga thinking, leaving him alone in a place like this?

Aeri grumbled, catching us once again, just in time for the person in head of him to start walking again. Instead of inconveniencing them with his voice he quietly followed. Eventually the surroundings began to get a little more familiar. They were near the front door now. The silver-head sighed with relief. "Thank you!" bowing toward the female awkwardly as he almost beat her out the door.

A bit taken back by confusion, Maryl bowed to the snow haired older boy at the door in return for him thanking her, then waved as she watched him leave. He seemed to be in a hurry to get out so she didn't interrupt. She felt a bit guilty for not noticing earlier, her mind was a bit of a jumble from job training, working, then her reaction to what happened up at the castle earlier.

Maryl stepped out of the door and waited for it to shut behind her before starting off a short distance from the steps to the library door and into the cold. She took a brief moment to dig through her bag before pulling out a small grey stone with a light blue swirl on the top of it. As she held it out, it irradiated a green light and images of falling leaves before a magic circle formed below Maryl's feet. She vanished with the circle in a column of light as the magic stone triggered.
