I'm a girl gamer. Can't say if I'm retro or not. I play what I like....and I do occasionally like diving into some old school stuff. ^_^ I have been hankering for Zelda for the SNES and I think we lost it. I think they have it for the GBA or the DS so I am definately buying that when I get some money.
Fav game: I hate to say it but: Final Fantasy 7. The first real, good RPG I played. And there is nothing like your first. lol I also have to give a quick nod to the Baldur's Gate/Neverwinter Nights games for the PC that got me into tabletopping. Gotta throw KotOR in there too. Although I have to say for a quick fix and some shooting/stealthing fun (that I am not all that good at but like just the same) I am loving the Metal Gear Solid series.
Fav system: PS2. But I want a Wii. lol
Do I collect figurines: Yes, but not intentionally. lol I started off with a Seymour figurine from FFX as a b-day gift/joke from my Dad. Then I just had to have a Sephiroth figurine....that my Dad calls my "man". lol Then there is the plushy of him...lol I also want plushies/figurines of the rest of the FF7 Silver-haired bishi gang. I'm working on that.
Fav charie: See also Sephiroth. lol Fav Playable charie: Hmm...not too sure. But I like playing Albel from Star Ocean: Till the End of Time. He's a jerk and dresses like a girl but he can clear a field like no one else and his weapons are cool. ^_^

^_^ Yeah...they are pretty awesome. I bought them for my dad 'cause he told me he used to play D&D. And then I started playing them with a little help on the mechanics from my dad... I got hooked. That is how I started being interested in tabletopping...playing Baldur's Gate and asking friends and my dad about it.

I never got the first one to work, but Baulder's Gate II was magnificent. Well written in all dimensions.

FroggiePajamas I've never played baulder's gate, is it good? It's good, but it's got an older game system, and leveling up can be crazy slow. There's lots of subquests. On the other hand, the world is really rich and well-realized, and it will be full of delightful surprises how REAL the characters act. It's also got a lovable supporting cast.
