"I've called you adorable." Godfrey said, pretty sure he was sure of this. But just grinned and watched Reg and Ana curiously for a moment before glancing around some more, trying to imagine how many people could fit in here and how it would look later on tonight.
((D< Godfrey has called Josh adorable some times, I am sure. :3 We just haven't rp'd those times. XD))

Just set it there, s'fine. *Shoves Ana over to Alicia, wiping his mouth with the back of his hand, smearing the dust on his sweaty cheek and making it ********' boilin' in here... *Flicks his hair back from his face, stepping over to the trunk once it was set down. Unlocks it, having to shake it a bit to get it to come loose* See.... Strings, straps...mirrors...hrm... *Pauses and looks up suddenly*
So, do either of you kiddies know how to play anything?

"Oh, well... I mean someone I barely know then... has never called me... adorable." Tries to save himself, his mind slightly muddled from excitement, but he obvious still didn't want Godfrey to be upset at him. Godfrey wasn't usually that high maintenance about such things anyways, so Josh wasn't worried. Godfrey knew how forgetful he could be.
Josh set the trunk down, scrunching his nose up at Reg. "It'd prolly help if this place had like, a window or something... or a couple windows. Or, like... a fan that worked." Grins, watching Reg dig around in the trunk.
"Oh, well... I play guitar, I guess. And Godfrey's real good at violin." Nods, glancing over at Godfrey.

Godfrey poked Josh in the side with his elbow a couple of times to show he wasn't the least bit upset or anything, grinning. He stood on his tip-toes a bit and peered curiously at the contents of the trunk before what Josh said registered.
"What? Oh, no! Josh is awesome at playing guitar! He's got an awesome voice too, I could listen to him forever. And that's before we started going out too, mind you. I've only been playing violin for about four years. Josh......"
Godfrey paused in his entirely honest yet enthusiastic endorsement and looked up at Josh. He knew Josh would downplay his own abilities, so he had to speak up for him. If these guys heard Josh play and thought he was good, maybe that'd help Josh! This band seemed to be really popular, anyways. "Josh's been playing forever, haven't you? Besides, he knows a lot about music and stuff. I don't really, I listen to classical music and Elvis, mostly."
No one would ever, EVER know his most horrible secret- that he was also a rabid Britney Spears fan. Leave Britney aloooooooneeee! sad
But anyways, he didn't mention that.
"Why do you ask?" Godfrey was, of course, completely clueless because he had no idea how completely awesome everything that had happened since they'd come up on the club was. He of course registered that there was a factor of awesomeness in play, but the significance of it all sort of went over his head. For now at least.

Yeah, windows'd be nice, but then 'Lo over there would be trapped in a closet... He and the sun don't get along much....
*Raises his eyebrows, looking at Godfrey* Curious. Elvis, eh? S'not bad... *Nods* Not bad...
*Goes back to looking through things, tossing a few mics to the floor, a great number of them held together with duct tape*
Y'know the blokes in Yellowcard play violin... I'm more of a guitar....piano kinda guy, though... S'not a bad bit to play, though. S'hard to get the hang of...
I was asking because if either of you was close to being done with school, we're holdin' auditions in a few weeks.. And I'm not shy about askin' people to play with us.
What's the point if you don't try everything at least once, ya know?
*Gives Ana a pointed, "Yeah, you shut up and get back in the kitchen, b***h" look before he plops down on the floor, beginning to fit mics together again*

Godfrey felt pleased at what Regulus said, because he knew he was rather weird, since he didn't listen to new/modern/popular music a lot. He watched the man toss things onto the floor, wondering why some of the worse off ones hadn't been fixed with magic. "My favourite song is 'A little less conversation!' Elvis is the best, really. A shame he was taken by aliens."
Godfrey seemed completely serious.
"Yellow Card?" He tilted his head slightly and scratched his ear. "Oh, well we're both-"
Godfrey suddenly stopped himself before he said 'fourth years,' and looked up at Josh, squeezing his hand lightly. "Josh is almost seventeen. He's a little older than I am."
He gave Josh a semi-serious look. "You should try out, Josh. It'd be fun."
Godfrey looked back at Regulus. "Oh, not me though. I've got plans once I graduate, plus I only play the violin and......... I can't sing very well, at all."
Godfrey grinned slightly, ducking his head. Josh would know, he'd tried to sing with him a few times. But Godfrey had the voice of a mid-row, pre-puberty choir boy, and not a good choir boy at that. He was alright with 'Oooohs' and 'Aaaahs' though.

*Continues to assess and adjust things on the stage after moving away from Ana, rolling tape over some loose cords to prevent painful falls, watching Reg talk to the boys*
Neither can Reg.

Stares down at Reg sitting on the floor, his heart skipping a beat. Magic had just come into his life, he wasn't that good at it and had already planned on getting out of school, but he needed somewhere else to go. If he got in with this band it would be exactly what he had been hoping for. He glanced over to Godfrey, a tinge of guilt already seeping into his mind. He knew in his heart he would rather get with a band then stay at school with Godfrey, and somehow that didn't seem fair.
He sighed audibly. He would just be trying out, no guarantees. "I will definitely come to the audition, yeah!" Trying to tone down the excitement a little. "But I'm sure there will be tons of people who show up who're better than me." He shuffled his feet, but couldn't contain his smile. Grabbing Godfrey's hand, he pulled him off to see what could be done to fix the stage.
---
A few hours later the club was already filling up. The stage was all fixed, the roof mostly reinforced again, no holes in the floor. Of course the place was still run-down and filthy, but that seemed part of the charm. There were groups of people, from punks to preps, grouped together and talking excitedly. The noise level in the place was already at a dull roar and it was only going to get louder; much louder.
Josh sat on stage with Godfrey in two chairs they had scrounged up, waiting to see if they were needed for anything else and also trying to stay out of the incoming crowd. Josh, doing his best to be heard over the noise without yelling, was sitting very close to Godfrey, basically talking into his ear. "You really don't care if I go to the audition and...everything? Like, because I mean, what if... it would be really cool to be part of a band, you know?" His hand was resting on Godfrey's thigh, trying to reassure himself that he loved Godfrey more than he wanted this lifestyle.
(If it's not okay to skip ahead then I'll edit the last part? I just thought it'd be better than finding random tasks and such to do)

Godfrey's ear twitched, enjoying the pleasureable feeling of Josh's warm breath.
"Of course not!" Godfrey yelled back, starting to jiggle and bounce around his seat a bit in excitement as the imminency of seeing his first concert shrunk to mere minutes. He jiggled his leg against Josh's lightly, but wasn't trying to dislodge his hand.
"I think it'd be awesome if you got into a band! It'd make you happy." Godfrey smiled at Josh happily, happy for him and the opportunity, compeltely oblivious to Josh's other thoughts.
"If you..." He lowered his voice and said something, but then realized Josh wouldn't have heard it. So he leant up and cupped the side of his mouth and Josh's ear with a hand. "If you ever have to do band things and you have classes, I'll cover for you, say you're sick. I'll even help you more with your work."
Godfrey sat back with a conspiratorial look and scanned the concert arena again. He was almost 100% confident that, with all his studying and Voldemort's help, he'd be able to get up to a 5th year level in all his classes by the end of the year. Which meant he and Josh could study together every day for their O.W.L.S!
Just thinking of all the time he'd get to spend with Josh next year made him all warm and fuzzy inside, and he put his hand on top of Josh's and squeezed it.

Josh frowned, looking even more far out and thoughtful than usual. He didn't need to tell Godfrey he would be quitting school, wouldn't be quitting unless he accepted, so he let the thought go. He would tell Godfrey if and when it needed to be said. For now he just enjoyed his closeness and his warmth, his familiarity in this place quickly filling up with strangers.
"Hey, Godfrey, do you recognize anyone in the audience? You know a lot more people than me so..." Josh squinted, peering into the semi-lit crowd, though he had no idea why. Even if by some insane coincidence there was someone in the crowd he knew, he had a horrible memory and was very bad at recognizing people, let alone recognizing them in a dim club and remembering their name enough to yell out.
Giving up, he turned back to Godfrey, grinning. "We gunna STAGEDIVE?"

Godfrey's eyes focused suddenly and he looked sharply into the crowd. What? Did he recognize someone? His heart almost stopped for a moment. Was his DAD here?
His eyes twitched back and forth rapidly for a few moments as he analyzed the crowd, but then realized Josh hadn't meant anything like that at all and that it was only his paranoia. Neither of his parents would come to a place as cool as this, no way. He sighed slightly in relief.
"Um......." He began, shaking his head a little to clear it, and looked at Josh cluelessly. "What's stage diving?"

"It's something you never want to do without meaning to. Trust me, I've done it before." he said and took another drag from his cigarette. He stood just behind them, able to see the crowd, but they couldn't see him.
"Nothin' worse than fallin' and not knowing it. Not being able to stop, ya know?" he blew the smoke from his mouth in a thin line, letting it go downward so as not to get about the boys' faces.
"S'gonna be ********' crazy out there. Drinks are free until midnight." he smirked and let his violet eyes scan over the club and the line forming about Georgie's bar as the man tried to keep the drinks flowing.

"Oh! But when you fall off the stage, it's actually accidentally on purpose, huh? Right?" Godfrey tilted his head up a bit to look up at Regulus, breathing in some of the oddly-appealing smoke and grinning a bit.
"Free.... drinks?" Godfrey's head snapped back down very non-subtly as he eyed the bar area. Georgie did indeed look very swamped.
"Maybe he could use some um... assistance?" Sly like a snake, or a fox... whichever, he gripped his seat chair and subtly tried to act like he wasn't in the act of sliding off the chair and slithering across the floor over to where the alcohol was 'to be of assistance.' Ah, c'mon, well, he did think Georgie was pretty fascinating. His hair was awesome and he reminded Godfrey of delicious spicy gumbo in a weird sort of way. Godfrey loved gumbo.
"I do know my way around some drinks." Godfrey admitted. Harry's little brush with alcoholism a few years ago had at least one plus. "And at the least I could pull the tap and dispense beer, or wash glasses."

Josh cocked his head slightly to one side, watching the people around the bar. Some of them already seemed too drunk to coherently place an order, but still they persisted. Josh couldn't decide if he was afraid of being around so many drunk people, or if he wanted to become one of them. With Godfrey being there it was more the former than the latter, but...
"The drinks are free? That's some sort a craziness." Godfrey's comment about knowing his way around some drinks left Josh a bit perplexed. He suddenly had a strong urge to tackle his fox-eared boyfriend, no rhyme or reason to it. And that was the best reason.
Josh got down off his chair, and with only slight hesitation, jumped on Godfrey as if Godfrey would be able to catch and hold him, hugging his arms around Godfrey's neck as they both tumbled hard onto the stage, Godfrey's chair falling backwards. He at least managed to land in Godfrey's lap as he had intended, grinning crazily. "Free. Drinks."

Alicia makes her way through the gathering crowd, ducking beneath arms and tangled dancers moving to the throbbing beat of some of the music she’d set to play from her keyboard. Generic enough techno to appeal to most patrons.
“Don’t get excited, kiddos,” she notes upon seeing Josh throw himself onto his boyfriend, “Georgie’d sooner set the place on fire than serve alcohol to anyone underage.”
As a matter of fact, Godfrey and Josh appeared to be the only underage patrons left in the bustling club - all others had been shooed away with promises of another, tamer show next week for them to attend. Both Reg and Georgie upheld the concept of a man - upon becoming a man - being allowed to make the decision to ******** himself up in whatever manner he so chose, but a child - anyone too young to legally purchase alcohol - didn’t have that right. Morals amid a club known for Reg’s drug use and sexual themes during shows; it was an interesting world.
