So, anything else about me? I was born in China, but came to Germany when I was 2 years old. Since then I'm living in Hamburg, the third biggest German city, that is located in the northern part of Germany. My parents are both Chinese and they started to send me to a Chinese school when I was 8. That's why I can also read and write Chinese. At home I speak Chinese, but I see German as my mother tongue since I grew up in a German city with mostly Germans around me.
I started to learn English in 4th grade. In 5th grade I started to go on a bilingual school. On that school we had 7 hours of English every week, in 6th grade we had PE in English, 7th grade history in English and 8th grade also geography in English. I just spent a year in Minnesota as an exchange student where I brushed up my English oral skills. It was an exciting experience for me to live somewhere with a total different language atmosphere and then on my own without parents. My host parents are really nice people and I enjoyed my stay. I guess I broadened my horizon enormously.
In 7th grade I started to learn French and quite like it. After graduation I'm planning on going to France or Great Britain for a year to study or work there. Should be fun enough.
Last year in Minnesota I started to learn Spanish and am currently continuing my studies in my German school.
Ah, before I forget, I had Russian for 2 years (9th + 10th grade). Unfortunately I don't have the chance to continue it right now.
As you probably can see I love languages! I also love to learn new ones and am willing to help anyone that has questions about any of the languages I speak or learn. Also I love to travel and to get to know different cultures and people from different countries.
