The music distracted both of them: they wandered into the game center. There was a little knot of preteen girls hanging around it, as well as some gamers, watching the boy who was busy dancing in front of the screen on some weird slightly-raised platform: extremely danceable music was bellowing out from the speakers, and arrows were flashing up constantly on the screen.
"That's ANTONY," Wisp said in surprise. "Wow."

He didn't notice the crowd. He was focused on right forward, left back, back, right-- Damn but he needed to get one of these at home!

Rory, having made her way through the crowd, saw him dancing there and get a little gasp. Then grinned. "Oh wow! I didn't know Antony could dance!" she said, obviously happy with this.
He couldn't sing, she couldn't sing, but they both could dance. "That looks like fun, too," she added thoughtfully, watching him.

"Seriously," Wisp agreed, still in awe. It looked so much fun! And the song was so cool! The music was calling up something in her; the heavy bass beat and drive unfortunately started the beginnings of the terrible word child raver.
"I didn't know Antony could dance like that," she whispered to Rory, impressed.

The song stopped and his score flashed on the board. He leaned back, grinning crookedly. That had been fun. But-- "Great, I forgot," he said, turning to grab his shirt and button back up. Then he caught sight of th two girls.

Rory practically pounced on him the moment he spotted them. There was a grin on her face that just made her seem to light up. "Antony! That was so cool!" she praised him. Obviously she didn't realize he had stopped looking for them, just to play a game.
"Do it again! Then I wanna try!" She was almost bouncing from foot to foot in eagerness.

"Me too!" Wisp looked totally enthralled: she too hadn't realised the implications that Antony had half-ditched them. "You looked so awesome up there! Is it hard? I want to do it as well! It looks so much fun! I love the music!"

"Oh pfft," Rory said, waving it off and not at all worried. "We're fine! And safe! And if you're not going to do that again, I wanna!" The whole point in the shopping trip was now forgotten with the idea of a game. A fun looking game.
