Wisp scribbled furiously for a couple of moments, obviously also considering how to spell atomic bomb and approximating as best she could. The subtleties of the secrets power were obviously entrancing. Although Irelia had started out kind of a jerk, she was a deep thinker: they were both re-evaluating off first impressions, both into positives, and the self-proclaimed captain looked interested.
"Can you fight?" she said. "It's okay if you can't, but we have a training program, and we're going to go to the dump and see if Chris can throw a car."

Irelia grinned at Wisp.
"That will be most entertaining to see, because he could probably do it. I can... kick a mean shin, and I have good balance? I've never really been trained to fight at all. Not like Chris and Antony."
Irelia liked Wisp. Even though she was sort of the kind of girl who probably couldn't keep a secret.

It was a reliable estimation: in fact, if you wanted the school to know something, probably all you would have to do would be to tell Wisp and it would soon generate throughout the halls. "Cool, cool," she said, and switched pen colours for no apparent reason. "Maybe you and I can do a little test in a moment, you know, just see your reflexes. Not that my reflexes are great," she admitted candidly, "but I've been working on them."
More scribbling. "This probably seems kinda throwaway," said the blonde girl, "but what're your thoughts on spandex?"

Irelia shrugged.
"As long as I can wear a dress, I'm good? I'm not for them or against them."
Irelia twirled a piece of her hair in her fingers.
"What kind of a test?"

"I dunno, maybe just pretend-fighting," said Wisp. "You know, sparring. Hey, do you think that because you can see secrets, you can see how people are going to punch you before they punch you? Or do you think you can see people's secrets, like, 'I have a huge piece of kryptonite in my shoulder back from ten years ago!' and see people's weak points? It'd suck, though," she said consideringly, "if we were up against a robot. But we have Christian for that. And I don't think we're going to face a lot of robots, it's more muggers. Just thinking out loud."

"I don't think I can do any of that. That's more mind reading stuff. Its kinda hard to explain... Its more like, I would be able to know their achilles heel? Like, I would know where to hit them to cause the most pain," Irelia said, and rocked back on her chair, "Yeah, Chris can take anything I think. You know what would be awesome? Chris against a monster truck. I don't know who'd win, BOTH are hardcore in their own ways."

Christian, completely unaware that they were pitting him against inanimate objects, had just realized something. "Rory?" he asked, picking up his recipe book and walking over to her. "Have you ever tried 'chicken?' Because I don't think I have and every other recipe seems to have it."
He was a... vegetarian? He hadn't noticed!

"Uh huh, chicken's used in lots of food things, too," Rory told him. She had asked her mom why his family only eats fish, and she had explained it. "Your mama just makes fish instead of chicken and beef. If you wanna try it, though, you can over at my place!" she offered him happily.
Then her attention went back to the plant girl and her notes. The bee-plant-knowledge thing was actually really cool when you thought about it. Even if it didn't appear she could make them grow fast to wrap around people. But that was okay by her! She was scribbling down these things too.
"So, with the bee and plant knowledge, you could you tell when people are coming? Or when they'd been by and stuff like that?" she asked curiously. Really she didn't have the faintest clue what she was doing, other than finding out cool things about people.

Wisp leant back in her chair dangerously, tapping her pen on the desk. "Chris," she called out. "Do you think you could take a monster truck?"

"I will!" Chris told Rory. He wanted to try it, at least! Then he glanced over at Wisp. "No," he said seriously. "I don't even have my license yet. I can't take one anywhere."

"I could." Delilah glanced at Christian and her forehead wrinkled in thought as she took in his book. "Mama has a lot of books like that," she announced. "She's a very good cook. I think she also has super powers, too." She tilted her head and looked back to Rory with great solemnity. "She moves very fast and her and Uncle Kiet fight with staves all the time."

Rory's sea-green eyes went large as the mental image of two people being fast and fighting like you see in movies. To her, it looked awesome! "Now that's cool!" she said, sounding very much impressed. She wondered vaguely if Delilah had been taught this as well.
Then she grinned. "So, what do you think being a superhero would mean?" she asked. Frankly, she was enjoying this interview stuff! It was fun!

Delilah tilted her head to one side and wrinkled her nose as she considered the question. Rory could already tell that this was a girl who put thought into her words - even if the thought wasn't by any means normal logic. After a moment, she shrugged vaguely. "I don't know. I've never read about superheroes. Are they like pirates?"

Rory scribbled down how they were going to have to introduce Delilah to superhero movies. "Nope! They're like the opposite of pirates. Superheros do good. Like the x-men stop bad guys, and stuff. We have movies and comics you can see, if you want more information," she told Delilah brightly.
