Yes we should! I don't like seeing as many egg spaming mixed with the rest of the topics. I don't mind them at all, that's why they're here, but there might also be other important topics, like this one, that would be obscured by so many egg spam.

Yesh, because once the guild gets more members the forums are going to become more cluttered and I think subforums would help us control that.

Actually, anyone can see how much everyone has donated. Just click the "Guild Members" purple box next to the "Guild Home" and "Guild Forum" Purple boxes in the upper left corner. The thing I don't' like about it is, is that it isn't organized one iota, and is impossible to organize. No options. Good luck finding anyone you wait. There are 20 pages to go through... And about the subforums... I see your point Lorde... But basically, ours won't be too strict. Like everyone else is saying, if we have any problems, we can always just switch things back. And besides, even with subforums, the main attraction of the Guild is the Sanctuary. (I at least hope) We won't absolutely force our users into using them and thus frustrating them, but will attract more users instead. I appreciate the warning.

And we don't really have to go hog-wild with subforums; you all don't need to worry about spending too much money on the guild (unless we really do have too much of a shortage). Many of these things are optional, and we can live a couple extra months without them. They'd be convinent, but please do not donate all of your money to the guild, especially if you are a relatively new member. Gaia's economy is already bad enough as it is, and if you wanna get anything, you're gonna need every penny you have.

And a couple more ideas: an "Offtopic subforum" and an "Other Clickables" subforum.

Meh, I like the idea of an RP subforum. Because, contrary to Lorde's experience, I've seen guilds flourish when RP has been punted into a subforum before they became a major part of the guild. This happens most often in Breedables, where people like to have RP but don't like to do it in the shop thread. So they go to the guild. And to keep things from getting cluttered, everything is sorted into neat-but-general groups, such as Crew area (pretty much vital to any guild's operation), RP (private and public), and journals.

In fact, the Journals (or in the case of dragcaving, dragon profiles) could easily be mixed in with the RP area, with everyone just putting tags in their titles. Examples of tags could be:

[PRP] - Private RP
[ORP] - Open/public RP
[BIO] - Dragon profiles

It's... not hard. I'm in at least three guilds that do this very successfully. In fact I can pay for the subforum myself if anyone else thinks this a good idea. The reason I haven't done any dragcave RP here on Gaia is because I don't want to punt an RP thread into the main forum where a lot of it is general chatter and questions. While those threads are perfectly fine, I'm rather concerned that an RP thread made by me will get itself lost in the chitchat.

It's just a subforum for mods/admins.
