He stiffens for a second or so, huffing. "I am not sensitive." His ears fold back a little bit and twitch before he relaxes himself again. "That scent is a nice one."

"Thank you. I'm rather fond of it." She gives him a sweet smile. "So tell me, what's your favorite prey?" She felt a change of subjects was in order, though she found his defensiveness very charming. Ah, males and their pride.

He takes on a grin, swaying his tail once more. "My favorite prey? That would be anything that offers me a challenge. I may have the power to never fail a hunt, but easy prey is very boring. The thrill of the chase is so much better than the catch itself sometimes."

She nodded thoughtfully at him. She agreed, the chase was much more interesting, though she certainly was no huntress. "I fear I will never know the joy of catching prey." She furrowed her brow. "I can't exactly sneak up on anything. I have to lure my prey to me, but the chase.... the chase I will never really know."

Watching her for another moment, he grins. "You haven't tried to use your scents to your advantage? You could easily use them to mask out your own scent and the prey would never know you were approaching until you decide to give chase, or strike." He tilts his head to the side again to think. "Luring prey to you sounds less troublesome, but then there's no thrill unless it's the thrill that your trick worked."

She considered his words thoughtfully. Being predisposed to seduction and trickery, she'd never considered merely masking herself for the purpose of hunting. "You make a good point. Perhaps, then, you might be able to teach me a thing or two about hunting?"

"What kind of hunter would I be if I didn't share my knowledge and teach someone a few tricks?" He grins and gives a small bow of the head. "If you would wish me to teach you."

"I would be most honored." She flashes him a playful grin. "And maybe I can teach you a thing or two about patience and luring prey. Perhaps we'll both turn out the better hunter for our meeting." She fluttered her wings and flicked her tail behind her, spreading the incense around. The scent changed to that of fresh grass.

He returns her grin with one of his own. "The honor would be mine." He sniffs the air casually as the scent changes and flaps his own minute wings once. "Perhaps you could, there are always new tricks to learn with hunting."

She experimented with changing the incense to more natural smells, trying to find the right combination that wouldn't seem unnatural or overly concentrated. She furrowed her brow, thinking she might have it finally. "What is our prey?" She focused her energy and slowly the clouds around her dissipated to small trickles of smoke that could pass unnoticed. She focused harder and the smoke faded completely, leaving only the scent behind.

He watches her as the smoke slowly dissipates, and sways his tail again. "Our prey? What is the prey you prefer to hunt? For me, the prey isn't the issue, it is the hunt itself. I caught the scent of rabbits when I entered this sunlight, perhaps a den is not too far."

She thought for a moment. Rabbits. She'd never had one. They are far too skittish for her particular type of hunting. At length she nodded, pleased. "Yes, rabbits. That could be interesting. Fast little creatures." She nodded absently to herself, wondering if she was going to be successful or not. Suddenly she was a bit self-conscious. She wanted to succeed the first try, to impress the other god. She fidgeted slightly, flicking her tail behind her.

"Very fast, and a thrill to chase down." He grins and stands up to glance back where he came from for a moment. Turning back to the goddess he notices her tense behavior. "Eager to begin are we?"

She nodded and set her jaw firmly. She would catch one, she knew it. "Lead the way, and I will follow your instruction." She flashed him a smile, fluttering her wings excitedly. It wasn't so much the hunt that thrilled her, but the thought that she might have found a friend in this deity. He was so different from his brooding brother, and she found that she enjoyed his company.

"But of course, milady." He grins to himself as he turns his attention to searching out prey for their hunt. Not a difficult task for himself, it would just be getting to that prey which would prove interesting. "We're downwind of a burrow as we speak. A perfect direction to stalk from."
