Arcadian Whom Hrrm. Since the stealth and speed ends seem to be covered, I'll probably mostly stick with direct-damage spells and be a black mage style spellslinger. Again, though, we'll need to see what the system actually looks like. So you'd probably be looking for Projectiles, AoE, and Exhaustion reducers? Yeah, pretty much. I'd go with the strategy I used on my Diablo 1 sorcerer and basically be a walking artillery cannon; machinegun fireballs and the like. twisted And since it'll be party play, I won't really need to focus on defense that much, which will be an interesting twist. Like a cannon made of glass...

Hrrm, Keptan's already a BM? Organizing a party is complicated. xp
In that case, I might be more of a red mage. I plan on getting pretty much every ring and trying to level them all up, so I could even just change my role to whatever is needed at the time or fill in for anyone who's missing. If everything's accounted for, I'll probably just default to the aforementioned black mage type build; can't really have too much artillery support.
The brooch idea sounds like a good idea to me; my orchid brooch has been sitting in my inventory not really doing much, and it's a shame to see it go to waste since it's so snazzy. xp

Ah, gotcha. So it seems like Keptan will be more or a fighter-mage, while I'd be more of an artillery mage. That works. xp Although I still do plan on being pretty flexible and working on rings outside of my niche, so I'll still be able to put in a little bit of red-mage versatility when needed. Well, I can remember a time when there were ALOT of "love children" mules that Modists would make when they were in silly moods... so who knows? Maybe there already IS a little Whomtan or Keptom running around somewhere. eek
And BTW if it turns it that's there isn't any really any "dark" magic distinguished from the normal black magic stuff, I'm also up for being a dark summoner of evil stuff.

Hm... as far as signature items go....
The iris is probably a good idea. Mainly because it's cheap, but easily recognizable. If we were to go with the Chevalier theme, I would say that one of the musketeer items would be appropriate, but they're pretty pricey.
A quick scan of my inventory, and I've brainstormed a few other ideas. If we wanted to look military, we could go with one of the berets, and the armbands, dogtags, and crossbelts are also decently priced, easily recognizable options. We could use the zorro mask if we wanted to go the Secret Society hiding-our-identity route. And the blood drop brooch is just cool looking and easy to come by.
