I think that time period sounds alright. Whenever the time period is, I believe it has to be (Imperial or not), a time when there is a strict ruthless governmental force.
That'll make shitloads of conflict and battles and sneaking or whatnot for us to RP.

So we have an Imperial Traitor from Corellia, a Gun Kata Jedi, and a stowaway little girl.
There is no way in hell that, out of three, one of you is not getting ejected out the airlock at least once in this RP.

Something tells me that the jedi isn't going to be one of them. Not without some serious pain inflicted upon the crew...
So we have the traitor and the stowaway. And who's going to be mean enough to chuck a little girl out in space at least?

Ejecting someone out the Airlock does not always imply that theres a lack of atmosphere on the other side.
The term that does imply such is "Spacing", the most dire punishment a Spacer can do to another Spacer.

If we use that Barloz or most Corellian designs for that matter, we'll have two airlocks.
We can flip a coin to see which one we'll use.

Cale Darksun Jedi dont really scare me. I can deal with them just fine. Let's not try to push it though. she'll make a good diplomat and bodyguard, probably, being tied down by that living force aspect. I mean, she's got to be really hippy-ish in order to really make much of a nusiance in my opinion.

She keeps it hidden we shouldnt have a problem. Up to the point Stormies board my ship and accuse me of colaborating with criminals.
