"No Onix, no!"Onix cried out in pain, It looked as though his rock hard body was about to crack. During the thrash attack he was thrown free and smashed against a rock in the middle of the battle field. A cloud of dust blocked everything from sight, but sortly after the dust cleared it was appearent that Onix was unable to battle. "Hmm you did well trainer. I see good things in your future, just don't give ever give up! You could grow to be an all powerful trainer if you try hard enough. And with that I send you on your way, but first I have some things to give you. These two items will help you greatly from here on, so I present you with the Pewter City Pokemon Badge, and TM39 which contains the attack rock tomb. Remember a TM can only be used once, so make a wise choice before hand. Pat handed the badge and TM over to the trainer "Good luck with everything young lady."

Darcy walked into the gym, "Hello?" She said, her voice echoing throughout the gym. "I'd like to battle Brock, please." She said, sitting down on the ground to see if she would get a response.

Darcy nodded, "Of course." She let out Rodh, her slowpoke. Rodh had gotten over the incident with his tail earlier in the forest so he was ready, "Who goes first?" She asked as she waited for Brock to let out his Onix.

"Alright." Rodh quickly shifted into battle position. "Rodh, use water gun, aim for the head!"
Rodh opened up his mouth, aiming for the Onix's head and fired a water gun.

Rodh managed to dodge a couple rocks, but was hit and hurt by many others. He didn't give up, he'd faced worse from humans, that was the reason he fought so harshly. "Rodh, now, use revenge to back up a confusion!" He was angry and he let it take over, nothing else mattered, he wanted revenge, he concentrated twice as hard and pulled off a confusion, doubled in power by revenge.

Darcy was shocked, she accepted the boulder badge and took TM, she finally realised that it actually happened and ran over to Rodh, hugging him. "Thanks, buddie." She said, holding him as he let his anger go away, slowly, like an iceberg moving, until it was gone. "Slow...." He said and fell asleep. She recalled him for a rest, "Thank you." SHe said, nodding and walked out of the gym.

Shiori stepped into the battledome, her eyes darting back and forth to take in the surroundings. The building filled with darkness compared to the brightness of daylight outside. Shiori wasn't the claustrophobic type but the lack of windows and the unfamiliar surroundings unnerved her, she wished Ellie and T were here.
"Eeeeeeevee!" Sayeh jumped from Shiori's shoulder to look up at her. "Eevee, eevee!" His stare full of determination.
Shiori closed her eyes and chuckled behind her hand; her eevee had a uncanny resemblence to her older brother during times like this.
Now relaxed she walked to the center of the battledome, her pokemon right by her side. "My name is Shiori Heimdall from Ecruteak City!" She called out, her voice strong and unwavering. "I wish to challenge Brock, the leader of this gym to a pokemon battle!" Shiori's voice echoed, now all she had to do is wait for Brock to show up.
