A slow grin had started to spread on Verix's face as she watched their mother use Nexis as an example. It was not so much of Nexis getting hurt, it was more of how she had expertly done the Hertza Haeon. Of course, she pouted when Sechs refused to teach them. Still, that day would come eventually.
Again, she grinned. Pairing up with Derix would be oh so much more fun. "A dance, huh?" She shot a slow lazy grin at her brother, obviously delighted at this. "Let's have some fun then, partner~" Oh yes, this would be a beautiful dance indeed.
"Well...yes...but..." Xanul stumbled slightly over his words, watching the kits warily out of the corner of the eye. Was Sechs mad? Pairing Derix and Verix up?! The two were the most aggressive of the group, and he was rather hesitant to see them get beaten up...even though they had both whacked him many times. "He's me, in a sense, still." He nodded to his oldest brother's words. He would do that, unless necessary of course. However, Verix had already found the Shield Charm to be rather annoying...thanks to him. "So..." His voice dropped to a whisper. "How do you think mother has been?" With the news he had heard about the full moon, it hadn't been a pretty situation for both Ayako and Saix to handle.

Zweix sighed, shaking her head. When would her mother understand that things didn't turn out well in groups? Zweix had obviously failed on the first try, what would make the second any different? But, with a sort of pained resignation, the young kit nevertheless made her way to her older brother, offering him an apologetic glance.
She heard the nicknames and the giggles, but put them in the back of her mind as she awkwardly padded her feet back and forth, stepping in place for a moment before she crouched low, jumping forward into a bound towards Nexis. The high bounce-like run seemed to work fairly well for her, and it seemed the less she was earthbound, the better she did. She actually made it to the other kit, and made a swipe for her shoulder, though it was clear by her wobbling stance that the action had put her off balance. It shouldn't have been too hard to counter, in either case.

Nexis stood his ground as Zweix bounded towards her. He figured that if he moved too soon then she might have time to redirect. Instead, he waited until she swiped and then spun out of the way, replacing the place where his head had been with an outstretched kick. That would show her.
Sechs watched the kits get started and then rejoined Xelon and Xanul at the edge of the clearing. "They're certainly taking to this, aren't they?" she asked, sounding smugly amused. It was an exaggeration. Any aspect of the training could be described as very firmly "In Progress". This Panzer Kunst was kiddy stuff, anyway. She still had a whole bag of tricks up her sleeves. The kits would remain mere apprentices in the art for much time to come.

"Don't mind if I do," the kit cackled, making a mock bow before swishing his tails and bounding towards Verix at a brisk pace. He aimed directly at his sister with a wild grin on his face. Smashing was, after all, his specialty.
This would hopefully be a proper fight, and something Derix would actually enjoy. There weren't many times when the two of them could get together and actually spar. It was either their father or uncle who would step in and stop them before they could get any further. But now was a perfect excuse to brawl.
Xelon leaned in as Xanul lowered his voice. "Well I haven't visited her recently, though I'm planning to soon." He sighed again and shrugged his shoulders. "Hopefully she's not too worked up about everything."
He quickly straightened as he noticed Sechs approaching, turning to greet her. "Somewhat," he replied. "You're not really planning to teach them all those moves of yours, are you? It can only have a detrimental effect on this world." The Kitsu grimaced at what the kits would do with such things at their disposal.

Verix dipped her head in a bow as well, her eyes not leaving Derix. Sharp eyes noted his move and side-stepped him just as he was about to careen into her, aiming her tails to whack him on the back of his neck. Yes, this would be fun indeed. Only Sechs could stop them, and Verix was sure their mother woudn't do that especially when the fun was just beginning.
Xelon's younger brother nodded, looking almost worried. "I wonder how she has been holding out. I mean, she's strong but..." His voice trailed off as the mother of his nieces and nephews walked over and raised an eyebrow at her tone. "Well, yeah, they're certainly having fun." There was a pause as he added. "Are you sure that pairing those two" He gestured towards Verix and Derix with a frown. "Is a good idea?"

It would seem that, once again, the typical "lunge and charge" tactic had failed her.
Zweix felt the contact of Nexis's foot to her face, but it all felt rather surreal as she rebounded, her body tumbling backwards in midair. For something that should have really hurt, it did little more than sting, and Zweix pondered if maybe he had just hit her faceplate, which could have protected the soft flesh underneath...
She never got the time to finish her thought, however, as the ground came up far too quickly for her tastes, with her in a position to land on her back. Frantic, she twisted in an attempt to right herself, and squinted her eyes shut, waiting for impact.
From the outside looking in, it would appear that Zweix had simply turned and landed on her feet.
She paused, confused as she opened her eye and look down at her posture. Her expression lit up as she realized what she'd accomplished, and she shot her gaze up to her parents, her tail wagging expectantly. "Mom, Dad! Did you see what I just did! I--I didn't fall!" So enthused was she about this latest turn of events that she entirely forgot about the part where she was in a fight.

Zweix was distracted! Nexis had already landed a kick and and decided he'd liked it and wanted to land another. And hadn't mom said it was about looking for an opening? He circled his sister and lunged for her hind leg.
Sechs grinned wickedly at the brothers. "Oh, maybe not today," she said, "The immature mind cannot fully appreciate the art of Panzer Kunst. But someday, I will." She had her reasons for pairing the kits as she had. Even if it was assured destruction, at least it was mutual. She couldn't stand for the pointless slaughter of the innocent, even if survival of the fittest was the way of nature.
"Good, Nexis!" she called, "Derix, Verix, get a move on! This isn't girlscout camp!"

Of course, the kit knew Verix could easily dodge his bold attack. He expected nothing less from his sister. As he skid to a stop at the spot where she was moments before, Derix immediately dropped to the ground to avoid the returning blow he knew would come. Her tails brushed against the tip of his ears as he kicked out with his hind legs, intent on sweeping her off her feet.
"Well, we'll find out when we see her," Xelon said quietly before turning and remarking in a louder voice, "Well hopefully I'm not anywhere near them when that someday arrives." The kits were already rowdy enough, and he didn't want to witness any major casualties.
His ears perked as he heard Zweix calling to them. Xelon gave her an encouraging smile before quickly motioning with his paws for her to turn around as he noticed Nexis lashing out at her exposed back.

Girl scout camp? Verix smirked. No way this was anything like a girly frilly dance. There were times she had absolutely detested being a girl, but for now she didn't really mind. But to see her as that kind of sweet little girl that handed out cookies?
She was definetely not that type of girl.
She, also, knew that her attack would easily be dodged. They were talking about Derix, her older brother, after all. Still, her tails curled in indignance as they missed their target. Obviously all this dodging wouldn't be fun enough. So, the girl let him.
She let him trip one of her legs, as she jumped up, then, using this momentum, she rolled onto the grass swiftly, around Derix to face his back and aimed a kick at his hind paws.
"I hope I'm not either." Xanul muttered, eyeing the fight with a sigh. Of course, unless Ayako was around.

Zweix beamed happily at her father's praise, then took note of the wave of his paw, turning her head sharply and suddenly remembering that she still was technically in a fight. However, she didn't make this assumption in time, and felt the sweep against her leg just as she realized what her brother was going to do. Her paws literally flew up from under her, and it was all she could do to roll back onto her feet using the momentum she'd gained. But now that Xelon was watching, her tails swished in enthusiasm, and her face lit up in a grin.
She could try, at least. Daddy would be proud of her for trying.
Deciding to try a different tactic, she went on the defensive, taking a step back. That way, Nexis would have to come to her.
