Amused by the angry female, Freckles runs back to the deer and chews up some more meat for the youngling. She brings it back to the gold and dragon baby and drops it in front of her, then skips back to the deer carcasses, as far as she can get from the angry hatchling without actually leaving the cave.

The female munched on the meat. {Thanks...erm...the male called you...Freckles?} She stared at the blue-and-lilac. {Apology accepted,} she said through a mouthful of food.
Cart ripped out another piece for the hatchlings from his carcass. {I'm not sure if I'm related to you, Emblem, but I'll be a big brother to you if you want. Hey, Khala, how're your paws? Here, you little rip, have some meat.} He chewed up the meat and spat it out in front of the green-and-gold. {By the way, what're you called?}
The green-and-gold thought frantically. {Um...uh...Sh...Sforrrrrr...yes, Sforkok! Yeah...Yes! I am Sforkok!!!} She munched on the new pile of meat. {Let's go sit with Emblem and his friend.}

Freckles snorts. {Yes, my name is Freckles. Pleased to meet you Sforkok.} She grabs one of the deer by the neck and drags it over to the nest. {This will be faster.} And I can't believe nobody thought of it before.

The purple and blue egg just sat there not moving a bit. The little dragon curled up inside didn't want to come out. It was so peaceful and warm inside. Although he heard all the noise surrounding him just putting him in a daze wanting to be apart of it. When he did come out all he did was stretch and the egg cracked open. He gave a yawn, stood up and fell. {What have I missed?}

Freckles tears off another long hunk of meat and chews it up before dropping it front of the youngest male. {Learning how to fish, little one. Unless you mean since your litter started to hatch? Not much, mostly food. Here, try it! It's delicious, trust me.}

{My feet are fine, Cart.} She drops the prepared piece of meat in front of the little male. {As for what's worth coming out...there's exploring the big, beautiful world outside this cave. As to what you've missed...I don't know, I'm young, too, but older than you. Three others have hatched.}

He got up and walked over to the food and started to chew it a little. {Now I know why there was so muck commotion going on. This is good} He continued to eat it savoring it but still eating with haste.

Freckles glances at Khala. {I'm Freckles, and the other female here is Khala. The red and gold male - the stomach with legs over there - is named Cartography, and the really old black and silver male is Old Silverback. And then there are the other hatchlings... I'm afraid I'm still learning their names. Lessee, the yellow and green female is Sforkok, the orange and green male is Emblem - if I caught that right, that is - and the purple and pink female is, uh... well, I don't know what she's called.}

Having finally fed enough to actually pay attention, the little dragonette looked toward the one who was called Freckles. {I am Ardelis, thank you for the food!}
With that done the newly named Ardelis went back to her meal.

{Sh, Cart!} Sforkok snapped. {Here, new comer, sit with us! There's good food here! Cart, bring us some more?}
{Why should I?} Cart asked sullenly. {You can't boss me around!}
{Um...can you please bring us some more?} she tried.
He thought about it for a minute and replied, {Okay.}

The little dragon looked around at everyone and didn't quite understand. {Let me get this straight. We give ourselves names. Well lets see.} He thought about when he was in the egg. It was so calm and peaceful. {Pax, I think I will go with Pax.}
