Spork i see what you are saying. but I don't think that I am comfortable enough with anatomy to be exaggerating on that sort of level. I would almost certainly c**k it up.

The dark gray bg is the cutzone for when it gets printed.
I've tried to take as much of everyone's input into account as I could - and I must say I really appreciate everyone's input thus far.

Any thoughts on this version?

smile looks forced, smoke looks like fog
her left thigh looks like it pinches in before the buttcheek starts, and now that I think about it her butt being like that seems very odd to me
I really like the way the boot part of the legs look though

I'm gonna agree with the smile, it's one of polite horror, like your cooking's horrible but she don't wanna hurt your feelings. Her left eye is a bit dodgy, too. Personally, I'd dig a pupil in there, possibly a highlight in there, too.
For redrawing the face, you either want to sit down and get a strong idea of why she's smiling, or go and check out old-style pinups for reference.
Adding black to the blue of the rest of the outfit would also help unify it, if you think you can pull it off well.

And of course you already know to smooth out the black outline, like around the end of the cigarette.

But it's really coming together. When you finally lock it down, it'd be kinda cool if you post a version-1 and final version side by side at the end of the thread.

oh damn the body in this one and the legs actually look really really nice and solid. The neck and head look awkward. they both connect at odd angles and the neck is really long and stretched out

also the smile is frightening

yeah you might notice the little <---> arrow by the neck, i'm going to photochop that down

i was kinda going for a frightening smile on this one - i figure that a coffee fairy'd be kind of intense. do you think it works?

The facial features are a little...drag-queenish for my tastes >.>
Perhaps softening the chin, adjusting the nose and less collagen in the lips would help?
Personally, I'd also swap out the ears for either Spock ears or Lodoss War elf ears. I think they need to be modeled closer to human ear anatomy.

I also want to tell you to tweak her booty, possibly adding details of her tailbone, possibly more. The pelvis seems a little large, like it should square off closer to the legs. I'm not 100% on that, though. confused

Also for compositional options, consider kicking her left leg up a bit; it'll make the pose more pinuppy and eliminate unnecessary symmetry. Or leave it and add jitter lines. Or add jitter lines regardless. wink

Tohomito
same face problem
unhandled exception reading device tomato

there are too many problems with my faces for me to understand what exactly you are referring to

smite: you suggest less of the lips? man i don't know about that, right now her lips are pretty slim in my opinion

I do agree about the jawline and chin, she is a bit square

jitter lines, totally

I think you are right, the hipbone may be too high.
I plan on adding definition to the bum during coloring.

The reason I tucked her feet together like that is that like, tinkerbell seems to always fly with her feet all like that

i'd really appreciate whatever input you've got if it's not too much trouble

i'm really starting to feel like i should be a lot better than i am by now, so i'm working at doing more and doing each piece as well as i can manage

the joy is gone from 3d art and i feel sort of sick at the time and energy i wasted on it while my drawing skills could have been growing instead

ok it looks like poor cartooning kinda
like I'd say you need to convey the subtleties of expression more but if you want to keep it stylized then that's fine, if so your line detail choice is poor
she probably doesn't necessarily need that dimple line, seems excessive and adds strain to her expression, so do the diagonal lines under her eyes
I agree with snakes on the nose and the way she drew the outline of her face on the right side of the picture
you should probably rework the positioning of her lips and her teeth
also the outside of the eye should never be a straight up and down line especially if her eyes are slightly closed, see snake's redline where the eye follows a taper and comes to a point at the end, also the upper eyelid line doesn't need to be a complete connecting line, if she's wearing eyeshadow you can just color there, it doesn't need (and imo shouldn't ever have) a solid outline
