Fiasco smiled "You need to keep talking so that I can focus on something other than pain. You need to get under the umbrella so you don't freeze to death." and so he moved from under the umbrella so that she could share it with Khyn. His act of valor cut short by the slowing, then stop of the rain minutes later. It was minutes after that when he noticed Khyn tensing up. He noticed it then, and felt dense for not picking it up as quickly as Khyn. "Strange." He said aloud as he listened to the sucking sound the ground made every time he lifted his shoe. That sound, however, was soon interupted by the steady beat of heavy footsteps. Really, heavy, footsteps. The rabbits ignored this new development as if it were completely normal, not that 4 foot tall rabbits was the bar for normal. The footsteps grew heavier and louder until from the trees emerged a hulking peice of machinery that vaugely resembled a rabbit including it's strange gait. The giant rabbit, by 4 foot tall standards, stood at 10 feet, and steam plumed off of it's metal hide as a handful of raindrops from the vanishing storm fell from the trees. It plodded gently to the just right in front of the teenagers and kept a steady pace. Fiasco stared at the wonder of the bi-pedal rabbit engine. A boiler stuck out it's back and belched a cloud of steam every few moments. The rabbits made no effort to rationalize it's sudden appearance. "Huh." Fiasco laughed dryly. "Steam Hare." And then he smiled, basking in the warmth the boiler gave off. "One problem solved."

Traci smiled widely at the stopping of the rain. "Oh, well, I guess I don't need an umbrella now," she laughed lightly, and then nodded. "Okay, sir, I will talk on and on randomly about things no one cares about!" She gave a small salute, and finally noticed the huge steam rabbit approaching.

"Danggg," she breathed, "that's one huge, weird-looking rabbit. But anyway..."

She took in a deep breath and smiled. "Ah, the smell of the air after the rain..." At least that hadn't changed. Nor the pleasant squish of the mud.

Traci sighed and yawned out of indecision on what exactly to do, and so ran around in a tiny circle until she was back in the back ranks of the group.

The arrival of the giant Rabbit startled Khyn and she really hoped that the lack of sound in the forest was due to the contraption. She stayed on alert even after it was determined that the machine was there to help, to keep them warm. The warm steam that floated to them from the metal Rabbit was definitely welcomed from the teenagers. Khyn watched as Traci flittered around the group like a child hyped up from Mountain Dew. She glanced at Fiasco and saw him smiling and returned it with a quick, shy one of her own. It was moments later though, that Fiasco's words sunk in. Hurt? He was hurt? She studied him, his body walking a mere pace ahead of hers. It was then that she noticed how one of his shoulders slumped lower than the other and how he tried to hide the fact he was injured by placing his hand in his jacket pocket. Her eyebrows furrowed downward slightly as she stared at his back. There was an area in the shoulder section of his dark jacket that was a color shade different.

"We need to stop!" She called out to the Rabbits. The Grey Rabbit, who seemed to be in charge ignored her. One of the Guard Rabbits looked nervously back at her, it's large unfathomable eyes staring at her a moment before returning to look ahead. "I said we need to stop! Fiasco's hurt."

(I don't think before this Khyn had taken notice of his injuries. I'll blame it on the shock of the situation! hehe XD)

The group marched inexorably onward. Fiasco listened to Traci talk, but didn't respond. He just walked. Not really sure about what to do next. Sure, he'd follow the rabbits. But to what end? They spoke of him as a soldier. They spoke of them as if they were soldiers. Already in league to fight their enemies. Whatever that meaned. Mind Slaves, nightmares, and, what, bears? Oh my. And then it happened. Khyn shouted. He pulled his wrench up to his shoulder and braced himself. The grey rabbit, though he didn't stop, his ear twitched. Fiasco looke to Khyn, only to see her face filled with concern. Oh Christ. She shouted again. "No, no, no."He said shaking his head. "It's not that bad. We can keep going." He debated telling her it was little more than a scratch, and then bailed on the thought.

"We may as well keep walking." Said the grey rabbit. "We'll be their in but an hour. And we don't want to linger outside the warren for too long. The Mind Slavers are getting more bold. Sending their slaves in closer and closer." He continued to walk. Not even spareing a glance.

Fiasco nodded in assent. "You see?" He told Khyn. In an hour I'll get it looked at." He tired to reassure her. The pain hidden underneath cold skin and calm eyes. He smiled that cocky smile.

Traci soon understood what Fiasco had meant. A little while where she couldn't think of anything to say, and thoughts flooded her. Like how she had no idea what in the world was going on. She was afraid of the rabbits' expectations of them. She didn't want to get forced into anything...

Luckily she was distracted by Khyn's shout. Looking closer, Traci finally noticed the wound. It looked pretty gross. She grimaced.

Hm. She hated chivalry. But she couldn't come right out and say it.

"Are you sure it's okay?" she ventured lamely.

Khyn reached out and turned Fiasco by his uninjured shoulder. Her eyes searched his and she could tell he was lying. His pallid skin belied the truth. She could tell that his injury actually did hurt quite badly by how his jaw jumped from clenching his teeth together. She merely nodded though, knowing that what the Rabbit said was true. They did need to get to shelter before darkfall.

She reached into the hidden pocket of her school skirt and pulled out a pink lacy handkerchief and handed it to Fiasco.

"Here," she said to him. Once he took it from her, she turned from him and continued walking, this time ahead of him slightly. "C'mon Traci, let's hurry. Perhaps if you use your energy to walk forward instead of doing laps around us, we can turn the hour into less." She said this in a slightly teasing, yet slightly harsh way.

Fiasco took the lacy cloth reluctantly and smiled "Thanks." Then, not knowing quite what to do with it, he slid it underneath his shirt near the wound, but not on it. Khyn had apparently taken command of the group, for once she started double timing it, the rabbits followed suit. And, true to her statement, the arived in just under fifty minutes. The warren appeared to be nothing more than a hole in the side of a hill, except with a large metal gate on the inside. It could, however be noted, that on the hill, small tructures jutted out. Fiasco ignored them. The rabbits led the group right up to the gate. A slat opend to reveal a pair of beady eyes.

"Allow us entrance, we bring warriors from another word." The grey rabbit declared.

Fiasco shook his head. Poor rabbit has it all wrong, he thought. No matter. It was cold out here, he just wanted in. The Large gate opened in the center, then slid into the wall to allow the mass of rabbits and humans entrance. Imediately Fiasco noticed a change in the temperature. The steam hare lumbered through and broke to the left while everyone else broke to the right. Siegard walked in last, right before the gate closed.

The grey rabbit led the group into a central chamber. "We'll inform the council of your arrival, they'll then send for you. Until that time has arrived, you'll be taken to seperate quarters where you can clean up and change." He then bowed and took his leave.

A Hound, much taller than the rabbit at nearly 6 feet watched him go. He seemed a little out of place, being the only hound that Fiasco had ever seen standing on two feet, and not to mention, amidst a group of rabbits. His brown fur hung over his eyes makeing them quite dificult to see. He wore a green robe with two sword in the sash that hekd it closed. It looked like he had four ears, but upon closer inspection, it was just one ear with two trails of fur hanging from them.

A group of slightly smaller rabbits approached the teenagers "We will take you to your rooms." They said, and led them down a flight of stairs to a circular room with eight doors along the walls. They led each to their own door and opened said door to reveal a decent size room with a washtub and an extensive closet.

Fiasco turned to look at the dimunitive creature that led him here, "I'll, need a doctor. Is that asking too much?" He posed the question with a sense of not trying to offend with the tone of his voice.

"Of course." Said the small rabbit. "We'll send for him at once. Do get cleaned up though." And with that the rabbits turned and left back up the flight of stairs.

Fiasco turned to his friends and shrugged. "When in Rome?" And walked in.

((I realize, after reading the bio in shock of what happens when I'm hungry, that the story is filled with holes.
...I'll have to fix that.))

"" She turned and walked into a different one. She was a bit confused that there were 8 rooms. Then she assured herself that the other 4 were for the rabbits. Instead of cleaning up, she dropped down onto the bed and started talking to her good and bad consciences.

Traci followed dumbly, and then with a simple, "Well, good luck," she walked into her room.

"Nice," she commented simply before plopping on the bed.

Then she laid back on the bed to get herself together. She felt oddly disconnected from everything. Wouldn't normal people be worrying over their families, or the danger they might be in?

Traci felt nothing. Maybe she was really as insensitive as she feared.

She closed her eyes for a few minutes, reveling in the comfort.

Khyn reluctantly allowed the Rabbit to escort her to her separate room. She looked over her shoulder to the other departing figures and felt almost uneasy. Why were they all putting such trust into these creatures? She looked down as she started to close her door. Cat looked up at her but said nothing. She didn't put to voice all the questions she had. Instead, she placed the metal Cat down on the floor and left the door cracked. Then, she turned and surveyed the small room. Seeing that there was a pitcher of water and a glass laying atop the bedside table, she moved to sit on the edge of the bed. Finding herself thirsty, she poured herself a glass, and after a slight sniff of it, took a deep drink.

"Why are we here? This is all completely unbelievable and it doesn't seem real," Khyn mumbled slightly to herself. "I bet Mom is worried." She didn't like the thought of her parents being so distressed. They meant well, and were good parents. She was starting to feel like such an a**, from how she'd been acting since the move. Dad really deserved the promotion, and I went on and ruined it by being such a b***h to them. She mentally berated herself.

Fiasco made his way into the room after shutting the door. He looked around not expecting to find a bathroom but was pleasently surprised. He walked in and removed his shirt. It stuck to his arm. He pulled it off while gritting his teeth, and tossed it into the trash can. Khyn's pink handkerchief fell to the floor. He stared hard into the mirror as his reflection stared equally hard back. He allowed his eyes to drift to his blood stained arm. "It's really not that bad." he said aloud, exploring the torn muscle with his eyes as it oozed fresh blood. He knelt down to untie his shoes. The pink cloth caught his attention. He reached for it, gently picking it up with his fingers, and placed it on the sink, and then went back to his shoes. He tossed them behind him into his room. The rest of his clothing followed suit. He climbed into the small shower and washed himself as best he could, hopped out, and dried off. He heard a knock on his door. "Coming." He stammered as he half ran to the door, wrapping the now blood stained towel around his waist. Opening it revealed yet another rabbit wearing a surgeon's apron.

The rabbit looked up to Fiasco "Hear you've got an injury that needs cleaning and dressing?" She posed the question with a sing-song voice. Her white fur giving sark contrast to her red eyes.

Fiasco looked down at her for a moment before remembering to respond. "Yes?". She stared at him expecting more. "Yes." He said finally "That I do."

She pushed her way past him, then dragged him to the bed. "Have a seat." Shemotioned to the bed which was a little shorter than Fiasco was used to, but he took a seat. She went right to work. She pulled supplies from her apron, poured a liquid that smelled funny on his arm, sqeezed some gunk from a tube into the wound, placed a small glowing green stone in the gunk, then wrapped a clean bandage around it. Fiasco watched in stunned silence, all to aware of how much clothing he wasn't wearing. The rabbit either didn't notice, or didn't care. She finished her work, placed the excess supplies back into her apron, then turned to leave.

"Thanks." Fiasco said genuinely.

"Of course." She said without turning around. "Try not to use your arm for as long as you can afford to. You may need to get one of your friends to help you dress." And with that, she left the room, closing the door gently behind her.

Fiasco sat there wondering vaugely if he should ask for help, and then shook his head. "No." He said while laughing lightly, He then stood up and opend the closet. It seemed impossibly big with the doors open. He picked out a pair of brown pants and wondered if they would fit. No dice, too big. He found himself wondering why such a big pair of pants had found itself in the closet of such small rabbits(in comparrison with the pants). He rifled through the contents until he sttled on a pair black pants, with matching belt, and a crimson long sleeve shirt. He rolled the sleeve up on the left arm, but was incapable of rolling the other sleeve up. "Huh. Maybe I need help after all."

"Come now! It's hardly a matter for fisticuffs my dear frien-"
Obviously his dear friend thought otherwise, because the air right in front of his nose whistled just then as a wicked looking blade swiped in the general area of his head.

"Hark now!" Ani jumped backwards, tumbling into the broken hodgepodge of metal, tin, iron and steel, charred and darkened by the explosion that occured just a few moments ago, the same one that was the root of their little tiff. The rabbit glared at him and advanced further, "Damn you, you meddling, muddling, twitchin, confounded piece of-"

Ani shut his eyes in reflex, limbs flailing out in every direction, anticipating the blow that never came. What happened would have been a howl, if the circumstances weren't so distressing. His hard soled boot came in contact with a surprisingly knobby portion of furred flesh, which gave away under the pressure, tipping the rabbit down as the latter seemed to pour face first like jelly, unto the charred and burnt out ruins of jagged metal-
"I think I have aided you enough for today and must take my leave- although you should consider getting some first aid for that-"
He yelped and jumped as flat and cold metal rapped against his ankle and then-

Ani opened his eyes and blinked, the simple action tipping the delicate balance effect on his high heeled boot and sent him toppling unto plush carpeted floor. His boots seemed to prefer hanging in the air and it wasn't exactly taxing on his back, so he let them stayed there...something about that reminded him of his designs for an ergonomically contoured mechanically powered personal locomotor system. Now if only he'd gotten the wing construction down to pat and corrected the little problem with nose bleeding...what ever happened to that anyway? It had gone poof! like most of his plans..well most of himself most of the time-
His nose twitched and he sneezed, bringing the whole construction crashing down just as he realized he wasn't alone in this room.

He colored and scrambled to his feet, pitching back on his heels as he usually did when confronted with situations like this...which was not helped when one had three inch heels on. Ani chuckled nervously, hands rubbing against each other as he leaned toward the boy standing before his. "Ah my deepest apologies about this, you must not have considered strange people when you decided to take your nap...unfortunately I cannot control this strange apparitions of myself anymore than you and they are not very considerate, I'll tell you that."

((My apologies... sweatdrop ))
Gaianame: Anabel Sinclair
Name: Ani Confound
Gender: Male (?)
Appearance:Confound
Personality: Everything about Ani is a contradiction, from his androgynous appearance, which has made many question his true gender despite his hodge podge conglomeration of clothes, and his nature is no different. True to his name, Ani's mannerisms and speech seem geared to send the unwary into a mental labyrinth of expressions and intimations that in the end leaves them both confused and more often than not frustrated. However not even Ani is immune to his ways- he has been known to veer off a conversation on to another tangent and then stop himself short, apparently confused by his own train of thought. At best he is amiable and quite friendly but a little shy sometimes, at worst he is evasive and mysterious and his 'helpfulness' gains a darker and dangerous side effect...but never once is he anything but polite...sometimes to the point of formality. However he himself seems to be troubled by the quirks in his personality, though he has once been quoted to 'know no other life' than this. One thing is for certain though, nothing he says or does is ever quite what it seems.
History: No one can quite chronicle the life of Ani but those who are observant enough have noticed a troubling trend about this quirky person-his appearance in this world seem to coincide with the onset of dark dreams of the red queen. In fact, there is a rumor going in within her inner most circle that the very first night this phenomenon began, her attendants were startled when the queen suddenly jolted from the repose with the whisper of two words, "The Hatter," and then sank back to bed sensless. He was found the next day wandering in the palace and apprehended by the guards, though he somehow managed to elude imprisonment and has been on the run ever since. Believed to possess strange powers of illusion and invisibility, Ani has been witnessed many times to suddenly disappear into thin air, only to reemerge days and even weeks later in attire stranger than his last and unsettling words about a strange place. Questions about his own past leave Ani very uncomfortable and taciturn, though once he confessed that his memory is spotty and trying to remember brings him 'darkness and a headache...more tea?."

(Accidentally deleted my operating system. Sorry for the delay.)

The sound of flesh hitting floor alerted Fiasco to the presance of someone else in the room, but what he saw in the mirror he was looking into proved to be more than just an intruder. Fiasco whirled around to view the strange looking... man? Not important. Everything about his atire screamed confusion. Fiasco found himself wondering why this person accused him of napping when it was apparent that he was standing at a mirror... trying to get dressed. "I.. don't... No." He found himself faking the early portion of a conversation. "I understand perfectly." He lied. "I couldn't even begin to understand how to..." He faltered, "You." He finished the sentance awkwardly. "Let's start over. What are you doing in here?" Fiasco's expression said it all.
