GRUH. I want to work on my character sheet(s) for this today but I always feel like I end up making the most boring poses ever with these things :/ I know they're just supposed to show off the character, but I was all proud that Billy's pose turned out so wonderfully dynamic. Now the problem is what to do with Cecil. I figure he should be holding a book or reading it because that's just how the guy rolls, but I suppose I could also try a pose that's him attempting to be snarky, or running or jumping or dancing or I DUNNO!
What sort of thing do you guys like best in character reference sheets?
I'll probably try to rough-sketch up some poses tonight and pick one that seems to work best.

If you have a character that isn't necessarily going to be in a dynamic pose very often you have to find a good balance between showing their appearance and conveying their personality, he can be in a dynamic pose holding the book, that seems fine to me

also i doubt if i could draw an alligator correctly

the alligators nose looks much shorter in the panel where he says a million dollars, you could probably fix it with a quick tweak in shading, just wanted to make sure you were aware

XD I'm relieved that a minor shading issue is all that's really standing out error-wise XD I may or may not go back and tweak- for this project I'm just cranking the pages out at this point- deadline is fast approaching. If I have time at the end I'll go back and tweak!
