Kore tilted his head as the two legger began speaking again. Kore had no clue as to what he was talking about. He was talking so fast and with such silence it was almost a blur of speech. The lion just shook his head at the boy and did not quite understand. He waved his tail slowly across the grass and moved both his paws in place. His eyes scanned over the boy looking for any hint as to what he was talking about in his body language. Maybe the boy would repeat his question or come at him with a new one either way his words would have to be slow in order for the young cub to get anything out of them. These two leggers were indeed a strange bunch of animal. Very little hair and no claws or fangs to speak of. What a waste of time to create them.

Karite looked at the cub and did not get a sign and guessed the cub did not understand his words. He looked around the glowing grounds. It had a empty feeling he was accustomed to. he wonder why Maya was not her looking over the little cubs. That was a question he should ask the little guy. Where was the mighty Maya and Baki. He wanted to see them before he went home. He also want to ask what this little guys name was. Maybe the little guy could help him find the Maya. "Hey, do you know where Maya is? Could you take me to her? Karite wasn't sure if he was going to get answer form the little guy but he hopped that the little cub would understand his words and show him the way.

Kore looked at the boy and picked up directly on the word Maya and that was referenced with Baki as well in his mind. After chasing his scent all over all the village he was pretty sure he could find him no problem at all. Standing the little cub closed his eyes and began to breath in deeply. As the crisp night air filled his black wet nostrils he picked up Baki's scent almost immediately. He looked at the boy again and locked his eyes before begining to walk towards the shoreline. Instead of his head low like it had been so many time he had traversed through the village he kept it held high to keep a lock on Baki.
Noticing that the little cub had almost lit up when he said Maya he noticed that he was looking for her scent. He did it pretty quickly as if he had done it before. Something about having this little guy around would be really cool. "No wonder Maya and Baki are so close. Their skills compliment each other." As the cub locked onto his eyes he stood and began to follow him. "Lets hope that you got Maya and Baki and not some crazed animal. I don't know if I have the strength to keep fighting today."

Karite ran onto the grounds a now sleeping Kore in his arms. Listening closely to the night air he picked up on the faint slumber of what must have been Ruha. Walking in the larger tent which he assumed was Shuga's he placed Kore next to his sister. Walking outside smiling he could not believe he was no the baby sitter for two lions. He was so ecstatic. He had studied and adored lions forever. He wished though he had studied on how to feed them but seeing as they were lions and the sensitive styles of smell and hearing that he must have some skill in hunting. Maybe they could go hunting together someday. He was sure someone could show him how to skin an animal. When the thought of an animal popped into his head he saw Tanu almost materialize in front of him. He could hear her voice. "Go home rich boy. You cant handle the way we do things." He raised a bare foot and struck directly with her head. The image disappeared and appeared behind him. "Nice try there richie." This had to be lack of sleep but Karite couldn't think straight enough to come to the conclusion.

Karite was astonished at what had happened. His eyes were playing tricks on him in the dark moonlight. Turning once again he meet the dead gaze from Tanu. His silver eyes locked with her, he was not so happy to see her again. This time he would make sure she stayed gone. Running at her with full forced he jumped in the air turning his body to the side forcing one of his legs down onto Tanu. It hit her square in the neck, or so he thought. As he noticed she had side stepped his attack completely. Karite landed off center and found himself rolling on the grounds. Looking up shaking his head he saw her there still standing her arms crossed over he pink shirt with her cocky smile. "You don't belong her city boy you ain't nothing but another pretender for me to pound to molten slag." Karite got up and removed his black tattered lion shirt. It had only been two days but from the battle his first night it was almost worthless. He would have to go without one till he found some money to buy a new one. Showing the dirty bandages from the quick patch job he accepted from the clinic he looked at her with a sick look of anger and frustration. "No one calls me a pretender. If anyone is a pretender it is you. Thinking your natural ability makes you great. I am the real thing because I work twice as hard to be just as good. I will prove it to you and anyone else who thinks I am wrong."

Karite ran at the girl with half the speed he did before he didn't want to roll like he did before. Cracking his knuckles as he ran forward he heard his new bare feet making almost no sound in the dirt of the Tategami grounds he punched forward which Tanu easily dodged. She was quick he saw proof of that in class today. She was definitely no push-over. She didn't always think on her feet though which is why his left hand was already on direct path with her new destination, but as if she saw this coming she stopped her motion and jumped backwards with almost no effort. He stood looking at her with aw as she seemed to smile again chuckling just in front of him. "You slimy sorry excuse for a person. when I am done with you your going to wish your sorry corpse was at the bottom of the ocean." Tanu cocked her head to the side much like Kore did when he seemed puzzled. Except she didn't stare cutely she mocked him by sticking out her tongue squinting her eyes. "Come on then Baka come and get me if you can."

Karite stood in the now swirling dust cloud which formed from his quick stop just seconds before. He looked at the unstoppable form of Tanu still looking at him with her tongue out and her eyes squinted. Grunting low in his throat his usually dead silver eyes sparked with intense fire as he ran forth to the god complex driven Kun Komu. His fist clenched tight and his half naked body glistening in the moonlight. This was not like Karite. He had never succumb to anger so quickly but something about this girl drove him to insanity so quickly. Running forward as the venomous tongued girl spoke he tried to strike but her movements proved to quick once again as she spun to the left laughing as Karite ran through her like a ragging bull in a bullfight. "Why cant you touch me there tough guy? Was there something in your eye?" The girl laughed out causing a painful ringing in Karite's ear which reminded him of something. His mind flashed back to school. His teacher! that crazed laughed reminded Karite of his teacher and how she said he was to stopped to be anything other then a rich boy. She was wrong and Tanu was wrong. He prove them all wrong.

Karite ran yelling now forgetting Kore and Ruha were sleeping peacefully in the tent. As he came upon the now searing image of Tanu he jumped in the air with one hand drawn back behind his head and both his legs arched back falling from the sky his fist pierced straight through the image of the women. As it did she faded and the women shifted around behind him again. A cackling laugh came from behind Karite now stronger then ever. "What am I going to have to do to get you to vanish? Is there some purpose you are surviving besides pissing me off?" If anyone would have come in at this point they would of though Karite was crazy. Which was a possibility the way he acted sometimes but not for the reasons they would have seen now.

"Come on lion cub? You are going to have to do better then that to stop me. Show me some of that anger you got building up." The girl knew how to push buttons. He turned around this time not as quick. Standing up he rolled his neck and removed his band that held his hair up in its smooth pony tail. He looked forward at the image his talkative manner seemed to melt. He walked slowly to the girl raising a fist to the side of what would have been her cheek and crossed her face with the back of his closed hand. The image disappeared but when it returned he had no smart comment to return. "You got something to say, or cat got your tongue?"

Karite didn't give the girl time to answer as he was already walking towards her. As his legs walked his bare feet wrapping with the ground beneath him. He raised a fist and aimed it straight for Tanu's nose but this time the girl was in shock enough not to underestimate his blow and ducked. Coming back up she looked at him her eyes still growing wide. She had not expected him to channel his anger into one big focusing lens of his strength. She backed away slowly watching as if she were scared he had actually taken her advice.

Walking closer his face giving off a wicked smile. As long as that band was around his now bare wrist he was the most serious person on the island right now. As the shadow keep backing away Karite kept inching closer and closer. He raised another fist to about his waist as he got close enough he let his fist slide into her gut. The image vanished and still appeared to be shell shocked as it appeared at his side. he knew fighting the real Tanu would not be this simple but if he could focus and keep his wits about him then everything would be go smoother then Shisei in class. Which reminded him he would have to speak to him. Knowing Shisei he was more then likely staring at the moon right now.

Knowing his skills were still not that sharp he cooled his jets and walked towards Tanu again. "You think your better then me? You are flesh and bones just as I am. Just cause your some clan member makes you nothing special. What makes a person special is who they are and you are nothing more then scum." close enough to the image to inflict damage he raised a shin to her neck, but the girls frantic movements caused her to vanish. As the image formed behind him. He would turn this little disappearing act into a final performance. This was getting old and very annoying. "Maybe you will learn that when someone beats it into you."

Karite quickly spun on his heel feeling the earth slid with him and dig into his now unprotected heel. That would take some time to get use to but it gave Tanu the edge she needed to dodge his blow as she jumped back. She seemed to be focusing her fear just as much as Karite was focusing his anger. They were now going blow for dodge but of course with her being more powerful and more experienced she would have no problem staying away from him. He would have to figure out some way to distract her long enough to punch a hole right through her inflated ego. With as big of a target it was it was hard to believe he could not hit it but she was faster then the winds on the ocean surface whipping through the sails after a good rain.

The boy was begining to get angry again as his fist kept meeting empty air. his grunting voice escaped in short gasp of rage as his stepping became faster and his strides become longer. The girls frantic movements had calmed as she saw the scales tip in her favor as he emotions got the better of him his fist flew but she saw the coming a mile away although the sting of the last blow was still fresh on her check. Or at least the illusion of the entire situation was still on her check. Although this was nothing more then inner working of a tired and stressed boy.

"Come on you pathetic excuse for a boy. You couldn't hit me if I had a bigger head then you dead and looked like that beast from the festival. You could barely keep a hand on that thing." A blur of a kick came through the air and missed Tanu by inches he was getting closer. She could easily see that. If he was getting better she could certainly tell. The lack of sleep had not affected his motor skills to much although his mind seemed to be falling into a dream state sitting here punching at air. "Come on here rich boy. I got a big old target right", her she said slapping her chin lightly.
