I think that in order to use two techniques per post, you need a control of at least 100 ranks. It just doesn't make sense for a chuunin who can only roll two dice to suddenly be able to shoot off two fireballs. Not to mention that jounin are also limited to two jutsu per post. I'm not asking to use 3 jutsu per post since that would make most battles very, very short, but that we place logical restrictions on level 10s.

Before the guild crash, there was a rule that a ninja could bite down on her tongue for -10% Hp to receive a +End mod bonus to Sense. Why was that rule removed?

There were rumors of a mini time skip a while back. Is anything of that nature being planned?

Why does Hiding Mist give a bonus to Sneak Attack? I don't think a ninja becomes a better sneak artist with better hiding.

I vote for a crew clean up. I know it's summer, people have their problems, and you guys are busy. However, that's no excuse for letting the guild crumble like this. One of these days, Shima's not going to rebound after an inactive period. The crew should be quicker at taking over the duties of inactive crew members, such as stepping in at the academy when a teacher goes on a leave of absence. If you guys go inactive, don't expect the students to magically go on a posting craze. Those crew members that cannot handle their duties at the moment should be replaced with someone who can. Don't wait for Zu or Baylu to approve the techniques or listen to suggestions. Remember that you're crew for a reason and as such you're capable of managing the guild.

Whaaa I'm trying!!! *cry*

Ok one thing at a time! *has a lot to do tonight to catch up with everything and is horribly sorry for it*

Karite
I think the Meho's were pretty much wiped - I don't know all the detail. Or wait, no..the Jio were wiped out by the Meho? I don't remember - that is Eifer and Lulu's baby there so I have no business. Also, the Meho leader Dhan is currently "residing" in Shimagakure, so hiring Meho to attack would probably be against their better interest since their leader is there and he'd probably kill them all with a swipe of his blade. But feel free to PM Eifer and discuss ideas. ^__^

Azzy-ka pt I
[--] I thought Chuunin could roll 3 dice? Genin can roll two - and in either case I think we talked via MSN how it would require more strategy to shoot off those two fireballs and such. I still believe someone who has the chakra and the base requirements for said techniques should be able to use them, because they will obviously be lacking in other parts of their fighting skills, like maybe dodging or hand to hand combat - using those techniques drains CP, and when they are too low, they have to fall back on hand to hand, and there the whole battle can be lost. But that's just what I think.

[--] I don't know why that rule was removed and I really like it. I want to bring it up in the crew discussion but to be honest that pretty much died out too. I'm still waiting for a few answers to questions I had - however, I will post again and hope the crew hops on to discuss it.

[--] Not that I know of. I will ask.

[--] Hiding Mist hides the ninja - with no idea where an attack would be coming from, a sneak attack bonus makes sense. If suddenly everything went dark, an attack from anywhere would surprise you because you can't see your opponent.

Azzy-ka pt II
[--] Um...Um...Um... I'M SORRY!!! I'LL DO BETTER!!

Chunin only roll 2.

There's a reason why Baylu and Zu approve the techniques... Cause a lot of crew don't take the time to balance them out, compare them to other techniques and use the correct format to write them.

AND I DONT HAVE PROBLEMS I JUST DONT HAVE INTERWEB OR A COMPUTER!
crying

And yes, a crew clean up is in order. We really need crew who can move things along when myself, zu and lith are absent. Maya's doing a bang up job, but we can't throw everything at her.

The beauty about the Meho is that unless they are united by war each tribe, war party whatever you want to call each seperate little group, which is exactly what they are, go about their own designs. The Warlord Dhan still has control over a sizable unit but there are alot of little rouge groups running around the island and eslewhere.

Uhh simply put, it would be quite easy to get a Meho raid on the village. Just be sure to discuss it with me or Lu, or both before hand. We would like some say in our clans doings smile

This is generally the outline (mostly based on skills for higher ranking shinobi) for making leathers and furs for using and selling that I came up with. It's not too hard for an academy student to make a single workable pelt or hide; obviously, with higher levels and rankings making more at once becomes easier. Let me know what you guys think.

Prepare the Hide (Prepare the Skin)
Cut the hide away from the animal, cutting sinew cleanly and as close to the skin as possible. Rub salt into the hide, hair side down. Let dry for one day.

1d20 + Int Mod
DC: 10 +1 per skin
Train: 3/3 +1 per skin

Soaking and Cleaning the Hide (Soaking and Cleaning the Skin)
Soak the hide in a large container or barrel of water, preferably cool water, for one to two hours. Afterwards, scrape the skin side with a dull kunai to remove any grease or extra tissue.

1d20 + Control
DC: 12 +1 per skin
Train: 5/5

Preparing the Dehairing Solution (Only if you wish to make leathers)
Find limestone at the top of the waterfall and crush it. Using a one to one ratio, mix the crushed limestone with warm water. This is the solution you will use to dehair your skins.

1d20 + Alchemy
DC: 10
Train: 6/6

Removing Fur from Skin (Optional)
You only need to this if you decide you want to sell leather skins instead of furred hides. Soak the hide in the dehairing solution you prepared. Let soak for several hours, preferably one day. Remove from water and scrape off the fur – it should slide off almost immediately. Once hair/fur is gone, soak the skin again in cool water for one hour.

1d20 + Melee
DC: 14
Train: 3/3

Tanning Skin (Tanning Fur)
Mix the brain of the animal you have hunted with fresh rainwater until it is a viscous solution. Immediately after cleaning the fur or skin, soak it in the brain solution overnight. In the morning, squeeze the liquid from the fur or skin and stretch it over a board to make it pliable.

1d20 + Fortitude
DC: 13 +1 per pelt
Train: 4/4 +1 per pelt

Finishing the Skin (Finishing the Fur)
When the pelt is half dry, use the animal’s fat, mixed with water, and rub it into the skin (Note: do NOT rub it into the fur if you are curing a fur!). This will render the fur or skin waterproof. When it’s is almost completely dry, stretch it over a board again for pliability. Your skin is now ready to use or sell!

1d20 + Focus
DC: 15 +1 per skin
Train: 2/2 +1 per skin

Yes, yes he can. =) And he can also start collecting furs and stuff for his tent. =)

I'm going to come up with a list of animals that can be hunted, as well as bonuses that come with each beast, and how much ryo they can be sold for. =)

For Example:

Rabbit
Bonus: -2 to each prep DC (because of size)
Sell Fur: 8 Ryo
Sell Leather: 10 Ryo

Rabbit
Bonus: -2 to Prep DC (because of size)
Sell Fur: 3 Ryo
Sell Leather: 6 Ryo

Deer
Bonus: +1 to roll
Sell Fur: 12 Ryo
Sell Leather: 18 Ryo

Rodents (Squirrels, Chipmunks)
Bonus: -2 to Prep DCs
Sell Fur: 2 for 1 Ryo
Sell Leather: 1 Ryo

Raccoon
Bonus: +1 to sell price if DC never failed
Sell Fur: 4 Ryo
Sell Leather: 6 Ryo

Others will be listed as needed/discovered

Just a reminder that the weapons shop has to be edited to fit the weapons taken out/ the decrees of stock.

I suggest we have an animal NPC in Shimagakure. A semi-friendly stray mutt that wanders around the village would be nice. It would give a chance for everyone to use their handle animal skill more often.

I'm not sure if we've added an animal NPC lately, but it just popped in my mind when I put a Smell DC on an ingredient.

Easy enough to handle, though I had wanted to bring in a few ocelot kittens to roam around and then later do night-watches. Further down, some larger mammals to guard the gates, things of the sort. I'll start working on those; it's that Natamo hasn't had a chance to really go out as of late and she's the one that I wanted to bring back the animals. However, they can also be shipped to Shima from other places.

Ok. When you bring those animals in, lets not bring them in as already trained. That way we can have academy classes to help train animals to be guards or train genin with them. It would be nice, don't you think? That would make Nata's role in the academy much more important too. ^^
