The trip away from Shimagakure would also allow him to train as much as he desired. Within the borders of the island where adults ruled, they would always hold him back from the amount that he knew that he was capable of. In time, he would completely surpass all of the other genin and have no problem in passing whatever exam was required of him to become a chuunin and legal squad leader. In addition, he would hope to come up with ideas for techniques and perhaps even learn one or two on his journey. Combining these with the taijutsu that he hoped to develop would definitely increase his power. He could even teach the academy students a thing or two about developing their own techniques, which would really demonstrate that he had a mastery over jutsu at an early age.

Sukotto began to feel his chakra increasing at an accelerated rate within his network. He began to feel a little excitement along with this energy, which spread a slight smirk across his lips. His breath had become rhythmic with deep inhales and exhales in an attempt to truly relax his entire frame. If he were to defend those that would be his students, he would need to learn to clear his mind and focus on situations at hand, rather than on past or future events. That was most likely his greatest weakness. After he was settled with his combat ability, the Uchiha would work on training his level of concentration, which would in turn help his own level of teamwork, which was poor at best. Since that would be the core of all of his training regarding the academy students, he would definitely need to adopt it himself to set a good example and be able to even explain it in the first place.

After determining that he had accumulated just about all of the chakra back into his network, Sukotto blinked for an extended moment and the opened his eyes with a red gaze staring back out into the room. He picked the blue book where it had been resting as he had and began to quickly read through its contents once again. The people that he was reading about seemed very facinating and mysterious. He wished that he had a chance to learn their taijutsu style directly from one of them, but he knew that he wouldn't have the luxury. For all he knew, the group had been completely wiped out, since the book didn't give much evidence about their origin or anything about a current residence. He could almost guarantee that none lived in Shimagakure, but then again, new people were showing up to the village often and the chances of one of those who followed the dragon discipline could arrive on the shoreline at any given day!

As he delved further into his studies, Sukotto wondered what other sort of techniques the followers of the dragon practiced. They seemed to emphasis the use of tattoos for some sort of sealing jutsu, but the book didn't give much more information about that subject. Unfortunately, it seemed as if whatever power those techniques held were kept with the band of people. If they had been wiped out, then most of their techniques would have also been lost. As he read on, the genin only hoped that he would be able to piece together enough about their taijutsu style so that he could use it as his own and he wouldn't give up until either he found the technique or had memorized the section of reading that these people were contained in. He knew that reading through it once had the chance of not being sufficient in discovering what lied beneath the surface, so he would read again and again until he was sure that there wasn't any link to the taijutsu.

Sukotto became distracted with his own thoughts for a few moments and simply couldn't comprehend any of the words that he was reading. More thoughts about his future academy student team came to mind and he thought of how he should train them. He had heard of jounin using bells or other objects before to force new genin to work together. Apparently, the jounin would just keep the item away from the team of students while they attempted to retrieve them. Sukotto had heard many cases in which students became arrogant and foolishly tried to take on the jounin by themselves. Some of the more clever ones would try to use stealth to their advantage, but without teamwork, the jounin would always overpower them and take control of the situation. Sukotto figured, having already thought of this exercise for his students in the past, that this would be perfect for academy students to learn at a younger age.

After getting himself squared away and back on track, Sukotto continued to read on about the people contained in the blue book. It mentioned that they had traveled a lot, developing the techniques that involved the tattoos that he had previously read about in secret. Sukotto couldn't help but become even more interested about these markings that unleashed what appeared to be a power of supreme proportions, but as he had previously determined, the blue book only mentioned them and didn't explain how one would acquire such a powerful marking. But finding information about the taijutsu would be much easier. After all, if the book described how the people moved while they fought, Sukotto would then be able to derive certain elements about the martial art and create his own style if the information was insufficient to exactly replicate it.

Having concentrated back on the text, it wasn't long before Sukotto found some information that dealt with the taijutsu that he sought out. As he had learned in the library, it was heavily influenced by agility and made use of one's legs, which was exactly what he needed to combine with the technique that he had imagined in his dreams. His heart began to pound firmly against his chest out of excitement, but he took a deep breath to calm himself. After all, becoming too energized about the taijutsu wouldn't help his studies. The Uchiha needed to remain calm and collected if he hoped to find out the information that would lead him to develop some sort of training regiment that would allow his body to gain the power and skills required to execute the taijutsu.

Unfortunately, for the time being, Sukotto's luck ran out. The pages that he had skimmed through only hinted at the quality of the taijutsu, but moved on before giving him any information that would lead him to finding out how to adopt the technique. If one were to witness the Uchiha's studying with the Sharingan, they would be quite amazed. His eyes quickly darted through the words on each of the pages as quickly as if he were merely looking for the page's number. This speedy pace combined with the memorization skills of his kekkai genkai allowed Sukotto to progress quickly while comprehending everything at the same time. It would also allow him to derive various elements from the content without having the text at hand. In fact, it would take Sukotto days to find what he needed without his Sharingan, which would allow him to finish the task in a few hours.

Just as his hopes began to diminish, Sukotto found more information about the taijutsu. According to the text, the training that was required of one before they could learn the technique was quite grueling. However, this aspect only excited the Uchiha more. He loved to train hard and become strong through that training. If anything, tough training was only going to make learning the taijutsu an easier process for him since it would easily hold his interest. In this way, he would be learning a new technique and working on other skills and abilities in the training regiment, effectively crushing two stones with one bird. A smile spread itself across the teen's lips, but he made sure to quickly contain it, still desperate to focus. He only needed one more little bit of information before he would be able to start building a training schedule: He needed to know which other skills he needed to strengthen.

A heavy sigh escaped Sukotto's list as his eagerness began to wear on his patience. He read and read, but still lacked just one piece of information. However, he wouldn't stop until his gaze literally burned through the pages of the book and set the entire office aflame. His eyes were beginning to grow quite sore as a result of using the Sharingan so much in one day, but he knew that he would soon have a break from concentrating on his eyes so much. He knew that the studying would at least help him research things more quickly in the future. He hadn't often used his Sharingan to aid him with his studies, but this instance showed him that it sped up the task quite a bit. However, since the Sharingan did in fact take a toll on the health of his vision, he knew that using it more than he absolutely needed to would be a foolish waste.

As Sukotto's reading speed intensified even more, some of the words on the page began to blur together. However, the faster that he read, the more his Sharingan strained to comprehend and memorize every single character that it passed over. The Uchiha could almost feel that the words he was seeking were within a few paragraphs away. And then finally, after his tiring search, Sukotto found the last piece of information that he would need to memorize before developing exercises that would train him in the art of the taijutsu that was represented by those who honored the dragon. After quickly storing the information that he would need within the confines of his mind's eye, Sukotto stood up and replaced the blue book to where Shinichi had originally pointed it out.

As he stepped in the direction of the door, the Uchiha noticed that a few peculiar-looking scrolls were scattered about the table. Upon further examination, he realized that they had information pertaining to summoning scrolls. Suddenly, a whisper took the place of any sound that the young man could hear. His eyes, beyond his own control, drifted to a map of the various countries of the mainland as the voice in his head became loud enough to hear.
'It's time that you learned of your nest, young Uchiha Hitan.' Sukotto furrowed his brows and searched for an explanation for the voice that he heard and the name that it referred to him by. There was no one else in the office and he had never previously heard of anyone named "Uchiha Hitan". He had no choice but to listen to whatever it was that spoke to him and approach the map. Immediately, his eyes diverted themselves to the bird country and the whisper spoke but one more word before completely vanishing: "Here.." It was at that time that Sukotto caught a glance of his reflection in the glass that framed a picture of Ichi. To his surprise, his own eyes were glowing a brilliant blue. Although his eyes had turned this color many times in the past, Sukotto had never known it to happen, since he hadn't been near a mirror or any witnesses. A sensation chilled his spine as he tried to make sense of everything. Something told him that he wasn't trapped inside of a genjutsu so he began to piece things together without fear of his own safety. The voice had made itself known when he had viewed the summoning scrolls and his eyes had directed 'themselves' towards the bird country. He wondered if this was the place that he would be able to use to exterminate the rage and sorrow that lied within his heart. It would take some further investigation to figure that out, but instead of immediately taking action, he merely grabbed a detailed map of the mainland and headed out of the Kage's office, noticing that both the blueness in his eyes and his Sharingan had faded together. He knew of only one place that would prove his experience to be real or a trick of the mind: Tomoko's shack. The woman would have plenty of information about shrines and if there was one located in Bird country, that would be where Sukotto would take his team of academy students to investigate. He wanted to finish learning the taijutsu he was perusing and assemble his squad before digging any deeper, so he decided to grab a few things to eat, take a quick run to wake his muscles back up, and then head to the library to set up his training schedule.

Natamo sidetracked, finding herself in Ichi's office instead of her safe haven. Why? Maybe she wanted to feel welcome again...maybe she wanted to piss Shinichi off, not that he'd be out of academy for a while. She felt a little bad, leaving the man by himself to handle the kids, but he was a mean old grouch and never had anything nice to say. At least, not to her. Besides his comment about not wanting to lose her today, he hadn't ever actually acknowledged her. On the beach he'd demeaned her, rendering her useless in what should have been a friendly spar. Natamo let her head fall on the table with a thud, and shut her eyes. She drifted slowly, her breathing evening out and her shoulders relaxing on their own.

She slept, and she dreamed an endless dream about a demon beast that ran with the wind, with flaming eyes and a dark body, with great horns protruding from its body...a demon...

"Cold! Cold! Cold!" Shin whined as he went darting into the Kage's office from outside. "Brrra!" the Nara hollered as he shook himself free from the snow that had fallen on his shoulders and head. He ran his hand over his head to make sure all the snow was gone only to find that some of it had melted and his hair was slightly damp. Once he gained his composure and tapped the snow off his shoes, Shin looked around the lobby to see that no one was there. "Huh..." he said, thinking that the Kage's office would be one of the most busiest spots in the village. Wandering through the halls he looked for a door that would scream out 'Kage'. He had been here before when he registered for school, but it had been such a long time- "Aha!" Shin shouted slightly as he recognized the Kage's door. Bringing his arm up, he knocked on the door with such carelessness that his knocks were loud and rapid. "Kage-sama," Shin said joyously being in the good mood that he was! The boy had just effortlessly completed his training in bunshin no jutsu and he was ready for the final and third training exercise!

Natamo's head jerked up and her hand went to her hip, where her kunai were strapped - and then she realized it was a knock at the door. She stood and hesitated, but walked towards it. They were asking for the kage, whoever it was, so Natamo would have to enlighten the person. She didn't, however, look forward to it. She was still slightly bothered by it herself. She opened the door slowly, her dark eyes settling on...

Shinobu. Clearing her throat, she ran her hand through her hair. It seemed, apparently, that Shin hadn't heard about the kage's unfortunate accident, and she herself felt slightly irritated that a small girl had gone off to find him and not her. Oh well - if the small Tenmoki ever failed, she would have her own chance to find the kage. Even so... "Nara Shinobu...what brings you to the kage's office?" she asked quietly, her voice low and her eyes focused on the boy's. She didn't waste any time with the moderately sized mammal, though..."He isn't here...he...Shin, Ichi-sama was frozen in stone by the Orochi lord. Ichi-sama did not return."

Shin's bright and bubbly face slightly dimmed when he saw a woman in front of him instead of the dark skinned Kage. This was.... Nata.. Natamo! As she cleared her throat and her hand through her hair, Shin felt a twinge in his side. 'Am I interrupting them! Oh, no! I should've known the Kage was busy!' he thought to himself as he rung the piece of paper in his hand. "Uhm, I was... I was wondering if Kage-sama could help me finish my last training exercises to learn bunshin no jutsus," the Nara stammered as she asked her first question with her low voice and piercing bold eyes. He looked away, staring at a knot in the wood of the wall of the office. His ears continued to half listen as Natamo spoke again. However, his listening skills perked up when he caught the news she had just dropped on him. "O-oh," Shin said, completely shocked and unsure how to react. How had he not known about the Kage's.... He had been sick. Maybe that was why Hanabira had stopped visiting him. She had heard the news and kept to herself... She was a shy girl and seemed emotionally fragile to Shin.

"I..." Shin started, not really sure what to say. He wasn't going to cry, but he did feel a small choke rising up in his throat. "Would you help me train?" the dusty haired boy asked, holding up his piece of paper with the instructions to the last training exercise for the bunshin no jutsu."I've kind of fallen behind in the academy..." Training was good... to let out pent up emotions and to blow steam. Now that Shin looked up at the burly woman who wrestled the animals of Shimagakure, Shin thought he could tell that she was hurting too... At least that what he interpreted it as...
