((Crap... I forgot about Themis... lol)) It wasn't until the sliding doors had closed behind him that Keegan realized he'd left Themis with Kasiya. For a moment he considered running back to get his Pokemon, but changed his mind. He's with Kasiya, he thought, shrugging as he made his way over to the PC and input his information. He'll be fine.
He took Mori's Pokeball from the strap and placed it in the teleporter, and then wrote a quick note to his mother, letting her know what was going on. A few minutes later, he got the reply, and he smiled, initiating the transfer. The Pokeball vanished, and a few seconds later the green Safari Ball replaced it. Keegan studied the ball for a moment or two and picked it up, and shuffled all the Pokeballs on his belt up a place before clipping the Kangaskhan's Pokeball into the last position.
"Well Moeder, here's hoping we get along," he said, standing up and heading back outside. He couldn't see Kasiya or Themis anywhere nearby, and he wondered how far they'd gotten. He found a relatively empty place, where potential damage would be minimal (he didn't want the Kangaskhan to destroy too much public property if he somehow managed to enrage her) and he released the Kangaskhan from her Safari Ball. The large Pokemon blinked for a few moments before looking down at the human, and tilting her head. "Hello there," Keegan said, nodding respectfully to the maternal Pokemon. "It’s nice to finally meet you, Moeder. You and I are going to be traveling around together now, so I thought that maybe we could get to know each other." The Kangaskhan leaned forward, seemingly studying the human's face. Then, she circled him a few times, taking him in from all angles before she stopped and nodded in approval. "I've also got a gift for you," he went on, holding up the two TM's. "Well, two gifts, actually. These are to commemorate our meeting. Brick Break and Iron Tail. Two moves that I think a lovely powerhouse such as yourself will make great use of." The Pokemon didn't argue, and as Keegan made a move to throw the three useless discs away (after fishing the first one from his pocket), Moeder reared back and punched the garbage can as hard as she could, bending it in half as though it were made of paper. "All right," Keegan grinned, looking up at the massive Pokemon. "I think this is the start of a beautiful friendship, wouldn’t you agree?"

((Heh... it's all right, I didn't forget about him. Some trainer, forgetting your Pokemon. Pish.)) Every few minutes or so, Kasiya would look over her shoulder to see if Keegan was behind her, or if she could see him trying to catch up. Each time she was disappointed though, and she silently scolded herself for missing him even though she'd only seen him like five minutes ago. "What is wrong with me?" she asked herself, shaking her head. "It's not like I'm not gonna see him again. After all, he's not gonna leave you behind, Themis," she said, patting the Manectric again.
Without even noticing it, she'd passed through the city limits, and was now heading down a cobblestone path that lead to a rather strange looking house. There was a signpost out front, and Kasiya walked up to it, reading the strange print. "Two steps right and four steps up and you'll be at Trick House," she read aloud, looking at Themis once again. "Huh, wonder what all that's about," she shrugged, looking around. She spotted cycling road easy enough, as it stretched overhead and seemed to go on quite a ways. "It'll be suppertime by the time we reach Mauville," she sighed, dropping her hands to her sides and looking around. "I really wish our bikes were working... or that Hiro was healthy and he could carry us the way. Ah well..." she shrugged, and continued to take in the sights. A pudgy woman was walking down the path, heading westward. Kasiya couldn't help but notice that she had two small, yellow Pokemon following along beside her, and they looked remarkably like a pair of oddly coloured Pikachu. Are they more of these 'shiny' Pokemon? she asked herself, trying to get a better look.

"Thanks Nurse Joy, I don't know what I'd do if it weren't for your help." Jason smiled as he took his pokeball back from the Joy of Mauville. He had visited the center many times before, despite not having a pokemon until just yesterday. Looking down at the ball he grinned and released Zeus. "Morning buddy."
"It was no problem at all Jason, it's my job as a nurse to care for all pokemon in need. But your magnemite needed little more than some rest, you did well to keep it from taking heavy damage."
"Naw, I'm just lucky that Zeus is so durable. The battle sure was fun though, I'm really glad that I finally have a pokemon of my own to battle with and help me with my research."
Nurse joy giggled a little and gently rubbed the Magnemite who was hovering around randomly around Jason. "Well I'm just glad you finally have your own pokemon to study instead of the pokemon trainers bring in for help. Most of them didn't mind much, but it's better to research wild pokemon as well as trained ones, you'll learn a lot more that way."
"I know. Well thanks again Nurse Joy, I'll come back soon, promise." Jason waved and was out the door, Zeus following close behind him.
"Take care Jason! Honestly, I hope that boy doesn't end up getting into to much trouble. Though I suppose that can't really be helped." She smiled as she waved to his back.

Ky watched in relief as Crenu returned his Poliwag. All of the chaos had Ky's heart racing and it was finally time to take a breather. This was just the kind of battle Ky was expecting, but even still, he had little more than his instincts to prepare for it.
Rex in the mean time, stood dazed as he watched his opponent get called back. Weak as the attack was, the Hypnosis managed to knock him out of his Rage, leaving Rex somewhat in shock. Then, with what looked like a great deal of effort, Rex began to walk slowly back to Ky, and to Ky's surprise, Rex looked like he was on the verge of tears. From what Ky could guess, all of the pain that had been numbed by the Rage came back in one dose, which having remembered Crenu's ice barrage, would leave Rex in a world of hurt. Without a second's thought, Ky jogged over to pick up the small Totodile. Similarly to the battle in the forest, Rex was whimpering slightly with his eye closed as Ky held him with a sigh.
"Logical I guess, but... looks like I was reckless," he said softly towards Crenu before glaring sideways to the yard's hill. "Sting! You're up!" he called with blunt authority, trying to regain the fire he had at the beginning. Taking care not to waste too much time, Ky jogged over to the pond to lay Rex to the side. "Rest buddy; you did great," he whispered. "I'll get the old couple to heal you later."
Without much direction from Ky, Sting made his way half-heartedly into the battling area. Looking at Crenu, Sting glared, remembering the last time they fought. He had evolved then, but from the looks of it, so did his opponent.
"I'll let you attack first this time," Ky offered, having just returned, ready for round two.

...didn't budge. "What's the matter with you, K1?" Ian whispered harshly, trying as hard as he could to keep his voice low. "Are you allergic to big hats or something?"
Having been searching feverishly for their room, Ian was a bit irritated to be pulled off track by a simple interruption like this. If anything, he was more than happy to talk to someone else, especially since she was probably the only other person their age on board. So, instead of following the direction of Keiichi's tug, he waited patiently and politely until the girl got to the bottom.
Then, as soon as Ian made eye contact with the girl, an idea sprung to mind. "Um, excuse me?" he started. "Do you know where our room is? I can't figure this ticket out..." Blushing a little himself, Ian yanked his arm away from Keiichi to show her his ticket. Not the most formal of greetings, but it was a start.

Luffy dashed forward chasing after the cool dragonfly bug. The two pokemon were running all over the place not caring if they got in any trainers way, in fact Luffy was using people and various solid things like spring boards. The Yanma was just getting faster and faster as it was chased. At least they seemed to be having fun, the Yanma was doing barrel rolls, flips and some other complicated air maneuvers. Behind them Robin was doing her best to apologize to the other trainers for her pokemon jumping off of them. Most of them just grumbled and went back to looking for bug pokemon, a few of them smiled at her and said that they were just playing, and one of them had yelled at her. When she finally caught up to Luffy she wasn't in a particularly good mood.
The two pokemon seemed to have settled in a corner across the National Park and seemed to be trying to outdo each other in various acrobatics. Seeing Luffy Robin felt her mood lighten a fraction but still not very much. He seemed to have forgotten the fact that they were supposed to be capturing his new friend not playing with him. "Luffy, we need to capture your new friend not play with him." Robin pouted as she watched the two pokemon. Luffy didn't look to guilty and the Yanma just stared up at her from behind big goggle like eyes. "Urg... Why do I even bother." Robin tossed her hands up.
At his trainers actions Luffy turned to look at his new friend and chattered something at the Yanma. The bugs head just twitched to the side confused not quite understanding what was going on. Not put off Luffy pointed at the Yanma before tapping his own chest and pointing at Robin. This seemed to get through to the Yanma who seemed to brighten up and nod before flipping upside down and holding itself there. Seeing that Luffy clapped his hands happily and turned to his trainer motioning to the Yanma.
Confused Robin just stared at Luffy tiredly not understanding at all. "What?" Luffy just chattered and motioned at the Yanma who was still upside down again. "Huh... You want me to do a... a handstand?" She asked not even quite sure if that is what was being asked of her. Hearing that Luffy just nodded and clapped happily glad his trainer had gotten it. "Great..." Robin muttered, she wasn't even sure she could even do a handstand.

"Switching pokemon already Ky? Your Totodile still has some fight, if you aren't willing to make your pokemon battle on until it has nothing left to give then you can't beat me." Crenu grinned as he watched the Poison Bee Pokemon float into the ring. "I see you've evolved your little bug, let's see if he's as nimble as my arachnoid queen! Ariados, Scary Face!" Ariados clicked her jaws rapidly in reaction to the command and got low to the ground. Staring up at the Beedrill she rose her abdomen high with her long legs and began to wave the protrusions on her abdomen in what looked like a sporadic pattern. She hissed and clicked as she glared her opponent down, a darker tone coming over her whole body to strike fear in the heart of her target.

"Hmm, well now I'm bored. I was sure Alex would be some where around here today. Oh well, guess this is a fine opportunity for some research. What say you Zeus?" Zeus turned to look at Jason, then turned it's attention to a grassy patch by a little pond. "Hmm, good idea. I hear there are some grass pokemon as well as bugs here on Rout 117, and that tall grassy area looks perfect. Let's take a look then." He patted Zeus's top most screw and crouched down low as he entered to grass. Jason was low enough for the grass to tickle his nose, and he could feel himself getting a rather big sneeze from the agitation. Oh crap, I'll scare the pokemon if I snee.. He opened his mouth wide to sneeze, but the moment he did so Zeus shot in front of him and got so close to Jason's face that he nearly plugged up his mouth. Jason's sneeze was muffled by Zeus's body and Zeus was left with damp and slightly dripping back. "Thanks a lot buddy, sorry bout that." He whispered, but Zeus appeared not to notice as it just floated by Jason as if nothing had happened. As the two crawled through the grass Jason heard a rustling up ahead. Getting down on his stomach he lay as flat as he could and inched forward, he came to a small clearing in the grass and saw a small green pokemon by the water's edge.
"Roselia, the Thorn Pokemon. Roselia shoots sharp thorns as projectiles at any opponent that tries to steal the flowers from its arms. the aroma of this pokemon brings serenity to living things."
"A Roselia... take a look at those flowers, very beautiful. I must make note of this. I'll only be a moment, don't wander off too far." As Jason spoke, he pulled a notebook and pen from his bag and started to take notes. Subject, Roselia. Pokemon appears to be taking water from the pond. It appears to be a healthy shade of green and the flowers on both arms appear to be healthy and colorful. The native flora also appears to be in good health. I cannot say for sure, but if the Roselia is from around this area then evidence points to a very healthy water supply full of nutrients. The Roselia scooped some water out of the pond with it's flowers and dumped it out over it's head, the water trickled down it's body and the Roselia turned looking refreshed and happy. Jason smiled and continued taking notes. Roselia appears to have had its fill of water and looks satisfied. Going in for a closer look. Jason tucked the pen in the notebook and slowly inched closer. The Roselia turned quickly to face the direction in which the rustling was coming from, threatened, it lowered it's head slight ready to shoot poisonous barbs at any moment. "Hang on there, I'm no enemy." Jason got up on his knees and inched closer, hands in front of him to show that he meant no harm. Roselia appeared to ease up a bit, but kept it's head low. "Come on, I'm a friend. Come now, don't be afraid...Man, I wish I had some pokeblock or even some berries to give it. Some researcher I am. Jason sighed, but lowered his hand, putting it palm up on the floor in front of him. The Roselia moved slightly forward and prodded his hand with one of it's flowers, and sensing no danger it eased up. Ignoring Jason now, the Roselia went back to the waters edge and put it's arms up above it's head, giving Jason time to keep writing. Upon closer inspection, Subject appears to be female. Researchers have claimed that a longer leaf "dress" indicates a female, this one appears to have a "dress" that almost touches the ground. Subject has raised her arms above her head and appears to be taking in sunlight. She seems to have accepted my presence and has eliminated me as a thread to her. Jason smiled and inched over to pond where he took a small drink from the water. The pond water is delicious and refreshing, this area is clean and perfect for grass pokemon such as this Roselia. Jason closed the notebook and stood up, startling the Roselia and causing her to run into the grass. "Oops, didn't mean to scare her. Oh well, let's go Zeus." Zeus was hovering in the grass nearby and followed Jason as he continued on his path towards Verdanturf.

Mike was surprised by the Elekid's absolutely venomous attitude to him, but then remembered that it was his association with Napalm that the plug despised. "Ha, I'll go get Napalm when we get to Lilycove, we can have a friendly match there." With that, the two boys set off towards the city. The rain hadn't stopped, much to the trainer's annoyance. But, perhaps this could be a chance to earn some bonus points with a certain grumpy Pokemon of his. Snapping off the marked Ultra Ball from his strap, Mike released Xanthos. As usual he left his ball in a sort of paranoid state of readiness, his claws raised defensively as if at any moment he could be jumped by something. An angry foam coated his mouth as he let out an assortment of mean spirited gurgles. "Calm down Xanthos, sheesh." Mike scolded, wishing he could actually do something about his Pokemon's sour attitude. To his surprise however, the Crawduant listened somewhat. He lowered his claws slightly, the foam around his mouth was almost all gone. "Damn, that's new." Mike said jokingly, then added a sigh. I'm the worst trainer ever.
Whirling around, he spotted Kilik's Elekid. After a quick examination he did as much of a scoff as he could and turned back around. He wasn't worth the time. "Anyway." The boy said in hopes to change the subject. "Xanthos, I thought it'd be nice for you to have some fun in the water, so I figured I'd let you splash around in the mud while we walked. Sound good?" Xanthos glanced over at his trainer, then back in front of him. He actually have a response to something I said! You could have knocked Mike over with a feather. "I'm the best trainer ever!" He shouted victoriously but accidentally. "Er, I mean, let's go!" Mike then dashed forward, followed slowly by his Crawduant.

Keegan’s attempts to fix the smashed garbage can proved to be in vain, as Moeder’s punch had done quite a number on it. He looked around to make sure no one was really watching, and then stepped back, looking at the can in dismay. “Anyway you can... uh... fix that?” he asked, looking up at the mighty Kangaskhan with a shrug. Moeder grunted and nodded before picking it up and crushing it into a crumpled ball of metal, leaving Keegan speechless. “Okay let’s go now...” he mumbled after a few seconds, holding up the Safari Ball and recalling her. “Hope nobody saw that...”
Looking around, he still saw no sign of Kasiya or Themis, so he pulled his Acro Bike from his backpack and unfolded it carefully before climbing on and heading north, keeping his eyes peeled for either of them. He approached the trick house, wondering if perhaps Kasiya had gone inside, so he dismounted and peered through the window. She wasn’t there. He got back on his bike and headed right, towards the path that traversed underneath Cycling Road. They must have went further than I thought, Keegan mused as he pedaled onward, spotting the occasional trainer and Pokemon, but not Kasiya or Themis.
He’d only been riding for about five minutes when a rather large boy stepped in his path, and in order to avoid running over him, Keegan had to veer off sharply to the left, which the bike didn’t appear to like, and it skidded from under him, leaving him flat on his back for the second time in two days. “It’s a sign,” he grumbled, staring up at the blue sky. “I should not be riding a bike. AT ALL.”
The boy who’d caused him to fall peered down at the fallen redhead, and adjusted his glasses. “Ehe, sorry ‘bout that,” he said, scratching the back of his head. “But you were going pretty fast, so I didn’t know how else to stop you.”
“You could have called out or something,” Keegan said grumpily as he sat up, hoping he hadn’t damaged his own bike (seeing as he had no money to pay for repairs if he did). “What do you want?” he asked, not caring how rude he sounded.
“You look like a trainer,” the kid said, now removing his glasses and cleaning them with a cloth. “And I bet you have some rare and powerful Pokemon with you...”
“...and you want to see them, and the best way to do that is to battle, right? Blah, blah, blah,” Keegan said in a rather mocking tone, rolling his eyes. “Fine, whatever. It’ll feel good to pound you, since you just made me fall!”

"Well, so much for Scyther," Miharu said sadly, after she'd just wasted a good half hour chasing after it, and with no luck whatsoever. Aska was perched on a rock nearby, resting after having scoured the grass from the sky. The one glimpse of the green mantis she'd had wasn't good enough to track where it was going, and the duo had finally given up, and were now taking a quick break before they resumed their bug hunt.
About ten minutes later, they'd arrived at the fountain, and still hadn't captured any bug Pokemon as of yet. It was turning out to be more difficult than Miharu had originally imagined, and now she'd wasted close to a third of the time limit.
"This is hard..." she sighed, dipping her hand into the cool water of the fountain and closing her eyes, trying to get herself to relax. "We can do this... we just have to try a little harder."
A gentle whooshing sound seemed to go by her ear just then, and as she opened her eyes, she spotted the telltale black and white wings of a lovely Butterfree floating just beside her. The butterfly Pokemon landed, taking a drink of cool water from the fountain. Miharu wordlessly looked to Aska, who nodded, and flapped her wings once, carrying herself forward with a surprise Quick Attack. The Butterfree had been expecting it though, yet it took the hit, looking at the offending Pidgeotto with an angry sort of look on its face. Then, without warning, it also flapped its wings, sending a Gust attack at Aska.

Kilik laughed at the mention of Napalm. "All right, sounds good to me. Elekid could have a bit of a friendly competition." The boy lifted a hand and patted the plug on the head. However, his smile disappeared when he saw Xanthos. The large Crawdaunt was, well, very daunting. He was quick to notice the glare given up to his baby. With a roll of his eyes, Kilik dashed off after Mike when he ran.
Yet a young gentleman had another idea in store when he saw the two boys running. Nudging his partner from his slumber, he nodded in the direction of Kilik and Mike. They had been watching from the trees, both of them young 'Ninja in Training'. "Let's get them. They look like easy victims." "Nmph..." the other mumbled, rubbing his eyes, "A-all right," he yawned. Together, the two ninja jumped from the trees, landing in the path a few feet in front of the other boys.
Kilik skidded to a halt, then tilted his head. He glanced over the clothing of the boys in front of him then looked over at Mike, then over at the two boys again. What's with the fishnet wearing bozos? he thought with a light smirk. He couldn't help but laugh. Their attire seemed very silly to him. Then again, it did seem very familiar to him. Having trained with Koga, Kilik knew that was proper clothing for a Ninja. It had just been so long since he'd seen someone with that outfit.
"I can hear you laughing!" the tall boy yelled, "My name is Yaku! And this is my partner, Kuza!" They posed menacingly, both mirroring the other, "And together we form Yakuza, the unstoppable Ninja!" Kuza, on the other hand, seemed to be barely waking up from his previous nap. "O-our aaaaim..." he yawned, "is to be the b-best Niiinjaaaa in Hoenn. And defeating you twooooo..." he shook his head and focused a bit more, "Will help us reach our goal." "A double battle! One Pokemon for each trainer!" "Accept or you wooooon't...pass through."
Kilik blinked again, shaking the rain from his hair. It didn't work that well, but he clenched his fists excitedly. "Fine by me! You up for it, Mike?" the boy unlatched his Park Ball, pressing the button to enlarge it for his hand, "Taking out these two will be child's play compared to what we're used to."

Pfeh, amateurs. Mike scoffed, readying himself for battle. The rain was still coming down, but nothing too obstructing, just enough to be a pest. What Pokemon would they send out? "Well Xanthos, I guess you're up." The boy said offhandedly to his Crawduant, who was more than ready for a fight. A solid plan, plus the rain would power up his Water attacks. The boy then turned to his opponents, giving them a look over. Their get up was at least acceptable, but their mannerisms. Awful. "So, you boys fancy yourselves ninjas?" Mike tilted his head and gave an unimpressed smirk. "You don't know the half of it do you?" Unknown to even his closest travel companions, our hero has had more experience with ninjas then just Koga. It was a detail he divulged to no one, for it contained powerful memories, ones that he would rather forgot. Unfortunately for him, certain events were about to unfold that would tear that wide open.

"You dare mock us?!" Yaku barked, "We are true ninja! Trained beneath the greatest Shinobi in all of Hoenn!" The boy tossed a Pokeball, from it came a Pokemon fitting of a ninja: a Ninjask. The insect buzzed about, it's sharp claws still somehow gleaming in the rain. It moved very quickly and the movement of the wings was so fast that it was almost unnoticeable.
Kuza said nothing in response, but threw his Pokemon from a Great Ball. The light was bright for just a moment before revealing an angry looking Muk. The massive glob of purple gunk sloshed about in the rain, raising what looked like fists up into the air. A bellow of "Muuuuuk" echoed in the small clearing. It was rather audible despite the rain.
Kilik ran his thumb over his nose. "Mike's right. If you want to see a real ninja, find Koga. He'll show you what being a ninja is all about!" With that, the Park Ball was let loose. The light formed Scizor's outline and she shimmered upon exit. The white light seemed attached to her body for just a moment before it 'shattered' into small stars. She took a step forward and crossed her claws over her chest, glancing at Xanthos. This was her partner in battle? She turned her attention to her foes and glared at them. "Scizor, attack that Ninjask!" Kilik commanded, "Use that new move from yesterday! The one you used on Rebecca!"
"Ninjask! Double Team!" Yaku shouted. The insect began to make doubles of himself, circling Kilik and Mike's Pokemon. His buzzing intensified with every clone. Scizor closed her eyes and sighed, dashing to her right. She slashed in an X shape, hopelessly destroying one of the clones as it vanished in an instant.
"Muk...mm..." Kuza was still trying to wake up, "Fire a Toxic at Craaaawdaunt." He yawned. The blob nodded as best a blob could nod and opened his mouth. A massive ball of purple gunk went flying towards Xanthos.

Mike knew that this Pokemon needed a strict tone in order to be listened to, being so he tightened himself up and in a clear and loud tone shouted his order. "Xanthos, take the hit and focus on the Ninjask, use your Aerial Ace!" He stamped the ground, in hopes that his intensity would get through to his 'rough around the edges' Pokemon.
The Crawduant braced himself for the hit. The poison sludge splashed onto Xanthos' carapace, and he could feel the toxin seeping into his body as a wave of nausea came over him. However, Xanthos never broke eye contact his his opponents, even when his trainer loudly barked his command. Aerial Ace, sounded good to him. With frightening speed the lobster slashed the air with his claws, seemingly slicing the very sky itself. A large crescent shaped blade of energy shot forth towards the Ninjask, zeroing in on the true one.
"Awesome," Mike said with a good deal of confidence. "That attack can't miss. This'll be over in no time." He was also happy at Xanthos and how he obeyed his command without fuss. Things are looking up.
