Jareth Dallis Well in all honesty they wouldnt be tonfa anymore. Tonfa are a defensive weapon. yes thats true, tonfa needs to be bladed somehow anyway, but the diff weapons have the same flow of it so they still rock too

We should not only look at weapons that fit the nature of the weapons like daggers for ice and scythes for shade, but weapons that would complement the element and allow them to balance out their natural abileties. For exaple, in the RP I have Hermisia using an axe. While I owuld never argue for the outward compatabilety for a wind elementa and the axe, but given the mystical strengths a wind elementa may possess, it would seem like a better fit. Considder the gale or the hirricane; it is neither precise nor fickle. It gets going in a certain direction and then flattens anything that is between point a and point b (point b usually being Maiami). An axe is much the same, surrendering controll to relie on brute stength. WIth the ingrained controll of the wind elementa this could be a powerfull match.

As a wind elementa I find that swords, daggers, and any form of light bladed weapon fits wind.

Sectional staves, these seem fast and deadly but wind elementa like myself hate blunt weapons.

Gash Rain Jareth Dallis And Gash dont do assumptions on elementa and weapons this time around. ahaha dont ask for it jd, besides i just guessing dont get your knickers in a twist just cuase im guessing. anyhow u know shade likes well balanced weapons, besides i can say that after all im shade and well earth i agree with gash on the opinion of a balanced weapon, i like weighted end/ bladed staves. it gives momentum, balance and speed, but i also like swords ALOT. as well as knives, and just about most bladed weapons. so im a bit weird. its hard for me to picka weapon really, mostly because of my fascination, and the fact that i collect almost ALL kinds. im one of those people who thinks along the lines of "anything can be used as a weapon" and "those that are classed as weapons i love to use." XD

Twin Sabers are great weapons, as used by Lu Xun in Dynasty Warriors. The thing about chinese weapons is they can be decorative an serve a purpous.

My friend take Konoichi jitsu and they practice the use of a fan. What a sexy weapon.
Hey hey hey, I think we are all beyond Asia-centrism here. Just because Anime kicks a** doesn't mean that our own cultural heratage kicks any less a**. Any culture has weapons that are both beutiful and deadly. Wotanic hammers for one are both highly decorative and useful. Don't be overwhelmed by the romace of exotic weapons. Europian cultures have just as much coolness as anywhere in Asia.
