The merc wasn't far off, eyes watching their every move, ears perked. You know being turned into a kitsamuwhutsit had a many perks. His hearing was a lot better then when he was a mutant human, and it certainly was helping. This was almost exactly like his steak-outs he used to do....Well except he wasn't decked out with guns and other items that could cause major bodily harm or death (though that didn't mean that he didn't have any weapons with him at the current time).

Eyes narrowed as he leaned forward from where he was hiding. '
HE MADE HER CRY?! -Almost cry. -Whatever. Maybe I should have given him more tips. You don't just make women cry unless there's a reason for it! Why that little--' he grunted, keeping himself as quiet as can be. This would no do at all.

Now not kill. No he wouldn't do that. At the current time. Maul perhaps, that was sounding like a good idea. '
--And then there's the whole cousin thing. Not to mention she's HOT. I should shoot off a leg for that. Later maybe. -And why do I always forget to bring toilet paper on my steak-outs?' His mind was babbling.

Wade's reaction to Aurum almost crying was probably the way it was due to the fact that she was family, even if he'd never admit to it. had it been just some random female, maybe he wouldn't have care so much. Maybe he'd have let that slide. But this. This was an abomination! Or at least something he'd bother the boy with later. After of course he did one thing that is.

His claws shifted over a tiny pebble, picking it up before taking aim. Wade's aim had not really changed since he had, which was a very good thing. Especially now. He may not be able to use his guns as effectivly now with paws and all, but he didn't need to be able to with what he was about to do. He just needed his aim. And as he always said, he never missed. Checking his aim he chucked the tiny pebble at Josh's head before diving back down into his hiding spot.

Wade? Kill him? Because she cried? Green eyes blinked, not understanding why that would be or how that could be. Surely her cousin would not do something like that! If only she knew Wade was still near, that he was concerned over her tears... well she would be both touched that he cared and appalled that killing or even maiming was being considered over something Aurum found as trifle as crying.

But she did not know and blithely smiled her assurance at Josh that she would not cry any more, before latching onto the new topic. "We'd need to find mechanic, right? A spaceship mechanic. Or just someone who can go off of blueprints if we can find any. And keep an eye out for Brett." The gold marked white face grinned, paw lifting to move her bangs aside blocking what view she might have had of the hurtling pebble. Aurum was oblivious to the coming projectile, her training not so in depth to alert her to something so small at a time when there should be no danger.

The space marshal had a sneaking suspicion that Wade was still hanging around. It seemed like a normal thing to do for the mercenary, and he wouldn't put it past Deadpool to not do so. So, even though he couldn't see the kitsusagi hiding, he suspected he was nearby.

Or maybe he was getting too paranoid. "True. Weas is a mechanic, but I'm not very sure if he can build spaceships. I'll have to ask Wade...." He was about to comment about Brett when something whacked his head and he gave a little soft 'ow!' in protest, looking around before noticing the little pebble on the ground.

So he was here after all. He narrowed his eyes sharply.

Right. Her cousin's little 'guardian' Weasel. Aurum's mind was rolling into thoughts of what would happen if they could get Weasel & Winry together -the way Ed talked about her skill with automail it made his daughter sure she would just love anything mechanical- when she was distracted by Josh's soft exclamation... of pain? Green eyes went wide in surprise and concern. "Josh! Are you okay? What...?" Aurum noticed the male's narrowed eyes and blinked in confusion. "What's wrong? What happened?"

He picked up the pebble with his paw, or at least, tried to. He wasn't exactly very used to the absence of thumbs just yet. Juggling it and failing to keep it in his paws, it was a while before he held the source of his exclamation between his claws. "This. Hit me." He said, blue eyes skimming suspiciously over the area. "Someone's obviously behind this." He didn't need to explain who this someone was.

She looked at the pebble. Small, but with enough force even a grain of sand could cause pain and damage. How hard had it hit him? Who had thrown it?

Perhaps Josh would have to explain. Though Wade was her cousin (of sorts) and Aurum spent a decent amount of time at the Place off & on while growing up, well she just did not know him very well. Wade was Bryna's mate, the father of their kits -her second cousins- but really Aurum mostly saw him as a bit confusing but oddly sweet consumer of mass junk food products -none of which were available at her home. After a sniff at his cheesy poof things she had decided that it was with good reason Trelweny did not permit such consumables to be stocked.

That Wade would intentionally throw a pebble at Josh's head especially after setting up this 'date' simply was not a concept that dawned on her.

Besides... she was more worried about what to do about it. Green eyes blinked a little wide-eyed. For some reason she felt the need to whisper conspiratorily as she leaned in to the male speaking near his ear. "Should we go somewhere else then? Did it hit hard? We could go to a river or a lake and I could make an icepack for you." Actually... she could probably draw water up from underground and do the same thing but going to a source of water was probably better if Josh wanted to go away from whoever he suspected of having thrown the pebble.

Very lightly Aurum touched her cheek to his. "Let's not let a little pebble cast a shadow on ... well it's been fun so far, right? This date thing? As long as you're not hurt..." Her soft voice was concerned, friendly.

Her reaction to it proved that she didn't know Wade had done it. Perhaps the mercenary acted differently around her? Or maybe she didn't know much about him. He was mostly watching television and hanging out with his girlfriend anyway. He sighed, dropping the pebble and the topic. It had been his fault that she was about to cry anyway.

"It's okay." He assured her. It didn't really hurt so much; and besides he was more concerned about the person who had hit him, and not the fact that he was hit.

The kitsusagi blushed slightly as she placed her cheek besides his, touching it lightly. Such contact with any girl would have done the same; he wasn't exactly used to such things. "Yeah. It's fine really. Besides, it was my fault."

"Really?" Aurum looked both relieved and slightly confused as she returned to a more casual distance. Poor Aurum... not even knowing that others may not be as comfortable with touching as she was. Poor Josh, finding that out rather first hand. er... paw. Green eyes watched Josh with concern. She did not seem to relate her closeness with Josh's blush, and that he was blushing baffled her. As did his last words. "... 'your fault'? How could it possibly be your fault?"

It took a while for his blush to subside, though faint traces of pink still remained on his cheeks. "Well..." He scratched the back of his head awkwardly. "It is my fault you were going to cry." He gave her a sheepish grin, as his tails curled at the ends.

Green eyes stared incredulously at the male. Aurum could not believe what she was hearing and her gold tipped ears flicked with her confusion, as if trying to change the vibrations of the air to make the words shift into making sense. Maybe if she was not so focused on that, Aurum would have noticed how cute boys could look when being sweet & sheepish. "Your fault... I was going to cry? But... but... that's silly! You didn't do anything to make me cry! I ... well... it was bound to happen. Eventually I guess. just because I...I..." Laughing softly Aurum tapped her head lightly beneath his chin then pulled back smiling sweetly & innocently at him. "I would have come round to thinking it on my own I'm sure. I never had a reason to think beyond what I saw. You're not family... or housemate. I think it was inevitable, soon as I started talking to someone... well like you."

Now Aurum was blushing though she had no idea why, half worried Josh would take it the wrong way and though not sure how he would she still could not figure out a better way to say it. Though she tried, even if she repeated herself a bit. "You know... someone sweet & nice. Who's not family or who lives with us. Who has a 'before' but no one else from that 'before' who's here as well." Her smile softened, green eyes looking up at him -one behind blonde bangs. "Daddy was alone but not alone, but Mommy says it's best not to mention the one who was from Daddy's before that was here first."

Aurum made a little 'o' look of one who had spoken too far and sheepishly brushed her bangs to the side and pointlessly dusted her paws as she glanced at them for a moment. Then her gaze was right back up, eyes glimmering. "Point is... not your fault. Got it? So fun, right? Isn't that what we're supposed to do? I'm afraid Cousin Wade wasn't very clear on what a date is."

... and she had been so flabbergasted over the whole thing that she had not thought to ask anyone -even her mother and father- or look it up. Now she felt rather foolish for this failure.

His sheepish smile remained. It wasn't only him who thought it was his fault for making her cry, but Wade as well. Even though he was only watching from a distance. Again, the blush sprang onto his cheeks when she touched him again, and reddened slightly more when he realized she was as well, for some reason.

Sweet and nice. Well, that was a nice thing to say about him. And maybe, probably, someone else from his...past (ugh, it pained him to even think about it) would appear someday.

He tilted his head, looking a little surprised. She didn't know what a date was, nor been on one before? And yet, Wade manages to hook her up. He groaned inwardly. Still, it was also his first time on a blind date. "Well, kinda yes. Have fun. Like if I was still in my previous life, I'd probably bring a girl to dinner, then maybe an arcade. It depends, really." Some girls would probably think guys were paying more attention to the games than them.

Well... maybe Aurum kind of knew about dates. Some in her house talked about them within hearing of Edward & Liliana's youngest. Not that she had paid those conversations much mind, seeing as she had not been part of them. It was not like anyone was in a rush to talk to her about things like that, when she was perfectly happy with her daily routine of family & play & studies with a bit of physical training thrown in.

In fact... her father would probably have a fit if he knew what Aurum had let her cousin get her into. Much less that she had forgotten to say anything to him about it. Oh yes... Edward was going to be very upset.

Tilting her head curiously at Josh she brushed the bangs that slid down to cover her bright green eyes gently to the side. "An arcade? What's that?" The only arcades Aurum could think of were the architecture features that connected two buildings -and she thought Josh more interesting than to take someone to one of those for fun. So that meant he must be talking about something else.

Well, Josh didn't like getting into trouble. Mind you, he never liked getting blamed, even if he was the cause of it. Which usually was, but for this time, it wasn't. Even though Wade would probably play the blame game with him if Edward stalked up to them and demanded an explanation for this...date.

Oh yes, they didn't have arcades here. He had thrown a little fit when he realised it, plus the fact that the television was totally not updated. "Well, it's a place where you can play electronic games. They're puzzle games, dancing games, and action games." Those were Brett's, Yoko's and his favourite games respectively. It had been a few weeks, and he was starting to miss them even more.

Aurum thought about this. "Electronic games? Like ... that DDR game? Or Tetris? I think that's a puzzle game." Her white nose crinkled as she thought. "I think we have a lot of fighting games... at least I'm pretty sure I've seen other's play them when there's not a movie on..." Green eyes blinked curiously. "This place... I'm guessing it's a whole lot ... well... more than just consoles at home?"

"Well, yeah DDR. Yoko plays that a lot." The dancing game had however, evolved much more in his time (he did live in the year 2050 after all) but still, it was somewhat similar. "Welll...puzzle games..I guess they're something like playing a chess-like game opposite a virtual opponent. Brett does that all the time." Dark tipped ears perked up in interest and he peered at her curiously. "You guys have fighting games here?"

He knew enough to tell himself not to expect too much however. But still, some games would be refreshing right? Like playing "Twister"(Which was, in his time, more of a "Put your hand/foot on a planet") with his friends. "It's much more. It's where people all get together to have fun. And if you win the game, you get tokens to exchange for prizes."
