Feeling the jealousy grow more, Greed readied her hand to trudge a good blow at Shawn, but was immediately stopped by a familiar hand.
"Oi, we don't need violence!" Grim retorted as he dropped her hand at her side. "We give hugs!" and immediately, he hugged her and was surprised she didn't fight back.
Looking away from Shawn, and ignoring the hug, Greed turned herself toward Sam. "How...How old...are you...?" she asked, never seeing a an as old as him before besides Momma.

Shawn was surprised by Greed's fist that almost plunged at his face.... and even more surprised by Grim's defense. Though, he began to feel jealousy from the fact that Greed didn't punch him when he hugged her. He made eye contact with Grim, grinned somewhat sincerely, and nodded. Then he focused his attention on Greed and Sam.

"Well, um." I coughed loudly.
What did mama say my 'age' was...
"15 or 16!" I told her without really thinking.
Then I just sat there, smiling. My smile then melted slowly into a frown as I realized what I said.
"I mean 16. Yeah. 16"

"Were you a dolly too, Sam?" She said bluntly. Only Grimmy knew that she was once a--Shudder--Doll. And she was pretty sure that he must've been one too.

I gasped loudly.
"Yeah I was! You were one as well?!" I stood up and hugged her.
I didn't know why I hugged her.
Maybe just because I was happy to have someone like me.
Other than the beautiful girl who always came to the birthday parties...

"You guys all really were?!"
I kneeled down, and came down to their heights.
"Wow. You guys, I'm so glad that I met all of you then." I grinned and opened up my arms, inviting them for a big group hug.
"If you guys have any questions, I'll try my best to answer them. I mean, like, growing older or whatever. I don't know most of it, though."

She meeped in shock. She had never recieved a hug. Just given them. Mostly to Grimmy and her mom. But recieving was a nice feeling too.
"Yeah." She mumbled into their hug, as she hugged back, smiling.

Greed just looked from afar. Her snippy attitude prevented anyone from touching unless they wanted to get socked in the face.

Shawn gave Sam a very quick hug. She would've been perfectly fine hugging him a minute ago. His jealousy made him hate anyone who is of the male gender at that moment in time.

Worrying about his sister, he released himself from the hug and maneuvered his way over to his sister. "Oi, Greed? What's wrong?" he asked, cupping his hand over her shoulder.
Immediately, Greed flexed her arms and punched Grim in the nose. Her glare turned to him, but he seemed to have done nothing wrong.
Grim flew back, and as he fell on the pavement, he cupped his hand around his nose. "Ow, ow, OW!" he said as he wagged his legs. "What the heck was that for Greed?! I was only worrying about you!" He removed his hand from his nose and came to see he was bleeding. Greed did a good measure on hitting him, for his nose bled out floods of red velvet.
Greed turned her face, then back to see Grim once more. "And you call yourself a guy." she said in a serious tone of voice. "Hhmph! Shame to call you my brother!"

Shawn watched as Greed plumaged Grim to the cement and made the poor boy bleed. Normally he would've loved this sight, but she really didn't have any reason to hit him. Shawn bent down onto one knee in front of Grim, pulled out a couple of tissues, and offered him them. "Sorry man, but red really isn't your color." Then he whispered, "Do you have any idea what's gotten into her?"

Grim took the tissues and wiped away the stains upon his hands and nose. "I think it is you." he said, sounding like a sick old man because he held his nose. "Did you do anything to her...?"
Greed pretended not to hear as she watched from afar. She threw off her glove and wiped it to pretend she was not paying attention, but she was. "Damn, my brother is too perceptive..." she thought, picking her head up a bit from looking down at her glove.

Shawn cocked his head at the question. "Not that I know of. Of course, I seem to have this thing where I do things without even knowing. I guess it's just a curse of being me." After his emo moment pass, he somehow got the feeling that Greed had been watching. He tried to ignore the feeling. "Of course, I'm not the one with the bloody nose."

Between the nose-punching, deep words of wisdom, and blood everywhere, I didn't know what to do with myself.
Our group hug had been a random, odd, moment, but it was exactly what I needed.
And Lolli sure seemed to enjoy it.
The list.
I remembered it, what Mama had sent me all the way out here for in the first place.
But I didn't want to leave just yet.
These were kids who had gone through similar situations as myself. Even they might understand me better than Mama.
My face cracked into a shy smile.
And maybe some of these girls will grow up to be real cute...
