i can't imagine him as jacob, but actually, i can. Jacob was still young in teh first book, yes? so i thought it fit.

I will say after seeing the MTV interview with Jacob and the wig Im actually more comfortable with whom they chose to play Jacob~ seeing as how i'd only seen the imdb.com pic i was terrified it'd be a little kid playing Jacob and that would've messed the entire movie up for me.

I don't really have a problem with him playing Jacob. I mean, he's by no means perfect, but I think we should all know by now that movie versions of novels are only perfect to those who didn't read the book. What I'm saying is....I knew from the beginning that they wouldn't be able to get everything just right. I'll just have to adjust to it, that's all....

i hate taylor lautner as jacob... let's hope he does a good enough job in the movie.
i really wish they would get steven strait for new moon and eclipse... but i heard taylor got signed on for a 3-movie-deal *sigh*
maybe it could still happen... maybe

I am not happy about him playing Jacob. I'm sure he's a nice guy and all, except he isn't anything jacoby in my mind. He isn't hot (in my opinion) and the wig on him....doesn't fit. It's too...unnatural. I dont like him with the wig. Maybe he needs a new wig, but it's too late for that.
He looks better with his short hair, so if he does keep on playing Jacob, I can't wait until he turns into a werewolf so he can take the stupid wig off.

That is how I felt after seeing the first "Wigging Out" videa, although I do feel like he captures the young carefree happy attitude of Jacob pretty well in that interview. Since then, though, he has grown on me. As for those of you that say he is too young, Jacob is supposed to be young looking in the first and half of the second book. Bella even thinks that it is weird flirting with someone two (I think, I am being lazy and not checking the book right now) years younger than her.

i don't hate the idea of him playing jacob as much as when i first found out, but i still don't like it. i LOVE jacob in the book and once the movie come out and i say i love jacob black people are going to think i like sharkboy! lol. at least he can act though. and i agree that he does seem to capture jacobs attitude really well, so it might not be perfect, but atleast it's not a complete disaster, yet.

ive seen set pictures now, and interveiws and some pictures with tyler in a wig and such . and i still like him, i mean, its gonna take some getting use too sure, lucky for all the anti-tyler people, you've still got a couple of mnths to go : ) i think he looks better with short spiky hair as well, and his hair will be like that somewhat in new moon and possiably eclipse ? so bear wth it, he dosnt look half bad in a wig, and we were the ones that wanted it to be as close to the book as it could be wink

I don't think he'll be a perfect Jacob (because it'll be nearly impossible for the cast to pull their characters off perfectly) but he's the best person to fit the part, as far as im concerned 3nodding

He is supposed to look around 14 in the first book, and as to your sig, no. I think James is hot too.
