Cat walked with Caleb to his section after he had returned the books he had finished. "Stay in this area for now okay, I'll come back and get you so we can look around together in a bit."
Caleb smiled happily and nodded. "Roger, see you in a bit." he ran off to look at all teh books once more.

"So then, what do you think? About what I said, that is..." He refered to the comment that most wait out of fear then regret later. He really wasn't going to extend the offer for a long time, she would have to take him up on it in some manner of time, though he did not say how long.

Justyn, careful to remain hidden, watched on inside the library from just outside. He was well covered as he made his way there, and even more so now that he'd taken a good spot. He lied down and crossed his paws, laying his head down on the middle of it. He was almost in a position to sleep. It made him almost happy to see Cat getting along with Charles. Or was that just Caleb? Something still didn't feel right about Charles...

Cat watched Caleb for a moment. "Don't take it personal please Charles. Every guy I've gotten close to so far has either disappeared, left, or died." She turned to look at Charles. "I have a hard time getting close to any guy for fear that it'll happen again. It's not that I don't like you, it's more along the lines of if I do, you'll might just end up leaving like everyone else."

Rick was taken by a flash of nervousness. For a second he was red. "Then let's not be close, but shall we do something? At least one thing to commemorate what we have here? I do think you like me. So let us...do soemthing together. I think we'd both really enjoy it." He hoped she would, truly and honestly.

Cat smirked. "It's hard to like someone and not get close Charles, most people crave something along those lines. I admit, I do like you. What I don't like is knowing that there's that possibility that something will happen. I swear I'm cursed." she said this jokingly. She tilted her head a bit at the mention of doing something together. "What did you have in mind?" she asked, moving to walk toward another section of books.

"Absolutely nothing. That's the glory of it. It's all up to you. I recommend a movie, maybe a dinner to ammend for the last one's failure...maybe something more..." He got quieter, and put his charm to work. "How about...I finally get that...kiss?"

Cat had been looking at books as Charles spoke. She glanced at him as he mentioned the kiss, then smirked. "And yet you don't want to get close?" she joked in a teasing fashion.

"That's what you said." He laughed. "I wouldn't mind it, but...A kiss does not mean you're close. If you kiss and you feel something....special, that would probably mean it, but...I'm sure you wouldn't," He teased back, just daring her to actually kiss him.

She picked a book from the shelf and smiled. "But thats just it, don't you see." She turned and gently tapped him on the head with the book. "I would." Turning she went to the next shelf.

"So...you're trying to tell me...Well gracious, you might not get this chance again. If I were you, I'd kiss me. But I guess that's just cuz I know I'm handsome! What about you? What would you do if you were you?" He tried to make a silly comment. He seemed to think that she liked the silly type because they're at least cheerful and entertaining.

She smiled. "I'm doing what I'd do if I were me. I'd try to keep from cursing you." she grabbed another book and flipped through teh pages, it was an older book written about 'King Arthur and the Knights of the Round.' She closed teh book after a moment. "What if I don't kiss you, will you run off?"

"Nope. Most certainly not. But does that mean you'd keep from kissing me to keep me around? How foolish would that be? To not get close in order to not be apart. To be teased with such a shallow presence. I imagine you'd want the whole deal. Kissing, dating, maybe...the eventual...bed, and the breakfasts in it?" He made a metaphor out of it, a kind of implication, also. He quieted toward the end again trying to charm her. He stayed close, his eyes lowered a bit, leaning in slight enough only to notice if she was looking for it.

There was another tap to his head with one of the books. "Patience is a virtue." she teased with a grin. Taking a step back she looked at a few more titles. "What sort of books do you like?"

"Riddles, and books that give instruction. I write. I don't need much more entertainment than that, but keep my mind sharp and read to hone my skills. Skills as such with the lie detector test. Do you honestly think I had any idea what I was doing? I was just using your wrist for a tool that I might be assured you would likely not attempt a lie. If you had, you'd've slipped right past me, but you didn't. Very noble."
